The TV was simple to remove from the box. I decided to quickly attach the brackets that make up the stand. I was surprise to notice that it was not a thin flat panel. It is a little chubby, for a flat screen. I didn’t know what to expect when I saw the android TV on the box and then on the screen during setup. Then I quickly came to terms, by quickly and accepting that most TV watching now a days has to do with your streaming accounts. I guess leave it to Android in making a system that would host the entertainment world of apps, preprogrammed with YouTube, Amazon Prime Video or Netflix, Hulus sign in channel links. Oh, by the way, I decided to maximize the UHD high definition experience by connecting it directly to my router. I wanted to observe if any speed delivery difference or interruptions versus a WiFi connection. My kids instictly went to WiFi and connected it that way starting on my third day of watching TV directly from the wall sort of speak. During setup I attempted to find public digital signal search without success. I live in the city, what happened to digital broadcasting? I did observe consistency of streaming and delivery thru LAN connection to the internet. TV was spectacular both ways either or. I have a cable box outlet in my room, maybe TV experience can come to my room. Outweighing the health benefits to that still. Ha! I love that the TV’s volume output is strong, very strong! I had to keep it at 6 and was afraid to blow the speakers if I went half-way whatever that is maybe 10. Since I do have a surround system that can easily be connected, I am sure the sound would be amazing with it, however, I decided to demo it without the added bass and support from other sources. Just how it came out of the box. Other great aspects of this TV is the Audio Only feature from the menu. What an amazing idea. Having a speak button on the remote to the TV can be a little unsettling. Just make sure that you are comfortable with your settings before you release your life to them. Do what you like. My kids love video games and a friend lent them his Virtual wireless game set. The built in Chrome Cast worked and made me give it a shout out during my review on the ease of connecting! Had a great three hours of fun. Everyone was involved in the gaming experience. For a brand I have not heard of, it stands to the challenge with the consistency and ease of connecting to everything from HDMI computer ZOOM meeting hookups, as well as meeting our expectations by performing exceptionally with some of the feature challenges we set up for it. Streaming movies, karaoke sound, connecting video gaming consoles to it, using it for music audio only settings for a better music ambiance and experience, or chrome casting other Android wireless devices seamlessly with ease of use. We are Hisense Happy.

Opened box, set up, applied power, noticed 1/2” diameter bubble In what appeared to be in or behind the middle of the screen, 5” from the top. Returning this afternoon.

The TV will stop in the middle of a show for no reason. It turns on in the middle of the night...generally very loud. Quite a disappointment.

I had very high hopes for this TV. I sadly picked up a broken unit i had to drive 2 hours to the warehouse.

Got it on the 14th, arrived the 17th and stopped working on the 21st, stuck with a $650 Lemon!!!

HDMI problems weak or no signal and black screen .

I have to say I was not expecting to be as blown away by this tv as I am. By far the most beautiful display of any tv I’ve owned to date! I have another 55 inch 4K tv and it doesn’t even come close to this display. One thing I love about this tv is the minimalistic center located base. You don’t need a 60 inch surface to put this tv on. It easily fits on my existing tv stand that had a 42 inch on before it. The base is stable and doesn’t wobble. Very easy to assemble. 4 screws and you’re done if using the legs. I did not try to wall mount the tv. Setup with my Google account was super easy using my Android phone. The entire process of setting up the tv took about 5 minutes, and it updated itself to the latest version of the Google Tv OS once it connected to the WiFi. That took a little bit of time, but I have fast internet so about 10 minutes then I was up and running. You can also tell it to download in the background. The Android TV OS is very responsive and from what I can tell they’ve kept it pretty stock OS, which is refreshing. Not a lot of customization which should mean faster updates. The user interface is well laid out and easy to navigate. It also looks great too! Beautiful screen savers and since it has access to the Google Play Store you can download and install pretty much any app you can think of. Ports-a-plenty on this tv! 4 HDMI ports, 2 USB, digital audio, LAN, ANT, AV In. Connecting my sound bar setup was super easy. The tv itself has very good sound quality too, but if you’re used to a subwoofer you’ll notice a difference on the low end. The sound settings give you access to some EQ presets, which make it easy to switch tonal flavors, and there is also a 5 band EQ that you can adjust manually. The built in speakers have plenty of oomph for most rooms. I have the tv in a bedroom and at 25% it’s way louder than I would want to listen to anything but music. The image enhancement on this tv is crazy good. It makes my other 4K tv look bad. I did change the image enhancement so that everything doesn’t look like live action phone camera, though. That is what is comes set to by default and although it’s super hi-res the frame rate makes it look like a camcorder video. It’s awesome that this is easily changed in the setting by setting the Motion Enhancement to Film. Then you still get the upscaling but it keeps the frame rate to normal film standards like we’re all used to. Android games turn this tv into a game console as well! Tons of games can be downloaded on the Google Play store. The built in storage is limited, and it would’ve been nice to see more of that already onboard, but it’s easy to expand with the 2 USB ports. Remote control has a nice tactile feel and matte textured buttons. Notable easy access buttons for Google Assistant, Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, and Google Play. The Google Assistant on the TV allows you to interact with the TV by saying “Hey Google”, and ask it whatever your mind can think of. One nice feature on this tv is there is an actual physical switch on the front to shut off the mic if you want to make sure it’s not listening for commends when you don’t want it to. So far, super impressed with this tv! A definite must buy if you’re thinking about it!

The picture on this TV is top notch, the colors pop (thank you Quantum Dot Technology) and the 4K ULED resolution and picture quality is the best I have seen. I would definitely recommend this to a friend for the picture quality and price. There are different “modes” that enhance the picture based on the type of show you are watching, which is a pretty cool feature. You can really tell that there are billions of brightness, dimming zones, and color combinations that adjust to the content and create a rich picture, no matter what you’re using it for. We have an “L” couch and the view is great from all angles. I like to watch sports (hockey right now) and the Hisense H9G picture quality is amazing for watching hockey. The picture is authentic to the viewing experience at a stadium. The white of the ice is perfect, and doesn’t glare like other TVs do. And the motion capture is outstanding, the player movement is sharp and there is no lag or buffering. We have used Roku in the past, but we don’t need it for this Smart TV! We get all our streaming apps that we got with Roku like YoutubeTV and Netflix (plus other’s we didn’t like HBO Max), and we have not had any WIFI issues while watching. The controls on the remote and navigating the homescreen to access the apps and adjust the settings takes a little bit of getting used to, but it is fairly intuitive and not much different than getting used to any other TV. The remote and homescreen controls are very responsive. The TV is slim and we had no issues with mounting it. The 55” fits our living room very nicely and looks sleek and impressive. The sound works great with our surround sound system, too, and is high quality and enhances the viewing experience. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my review.

When our old smart TV began having trouble running new updates my wife and I began looking for an affordable replacement. We got the Hisense H9G and what an amazing deal it was! We got it for a great price and we feel, with all of the value we find in it, that we stole it. I've always been more comfortable working on different operating platforms so I was a little aprehensive about trying out the android platform. Turns out that the interface is so user friendly that my two year old can find her apps and her shows as easily as I can find my own! My favorite features are the sound and picture menus. There are so many options that we can always find the best combination for sports, movies, and reality TV. I would HIGHLY reccommend this product to anyone who is looking to upgrade their entertainment experience in both a sophisticated and user friendly way! Bright colorful picture. Fast easy to use operating system. Easy set up.

I ordered the Hisense H9G 55” TV for my new apartment and I’m very impressed. The sound is clear and loud and the images are so vibrant. I love that it has Chromecast built in for easy streaming from my phone or laptop. So far, I watched Money Heist on Netflix on the TV and it was really easy to read the subtitles and the music volume was well balanced. The screen itself is very slick and has a nice look because the edges are so thin. Setup was relatively easy. I just had to connect WiFi, log into my google account, and wait for some updates. The voice feature is pretty good at understanding what I'm saying if I'm searching on YouTube but it activates often when I don't want it to. This is an excellent TV and a great value for the price. Picture quality is excellent using both my Apple TV and Roku. We’ve watched 4K movies, sports and 4K YouTube nature videos and they all look very good, surprisingly good at this price. I have a Sony 75XBR950G (and I love it) and the picture quality is comparable. The Sony 55XBR950H costs $1,199 today at BestBuy.com. The H9G is not quite as bright as the Sony, but the Sony is amazingly bright so I think most people would consider the HiSense a great TV for a bright room and dark. Construction is solid, stable legs and doesn’t wiggle on the stand. It has some weight to it, but not too much to manage for self-installation on its legs. It’s soooo much better than the Samsung it’s replacing. It has a small, black bezel around the top and sides. It has a bigger bezel on the bottom, it’s gold so it’s noticeable but not annoying or distracting. On rtings.com, a great review site, they like this TV. I used that site to select my Sony and am very happy. Their only negative opinion on this one is the off-axis viewing. It is noticeable at about 70 degrees, way off to the side, but not objectionable at all for a large group to watch a movie or game. The built in speakers are typically an afterthought on TV’s today in favor of a sound bar, but these are actually quite good. They are not going to recreate a good Star Wars battle scene like external speakers and a subwoofer, but they are much better than most TV’s I’ve listened to in the store. Even the packaging was top quality. My only recommendation for improvement is the manual and online support materials. They are somewhat lacking and I needed to go searching on the web to resolve the ARC audio setup. I would buy this TV again and recommend it to all my friends. TV has a great picture, but the processor and memory aren't very good at all, and the TV will randomly disconnect from ALL wireless connections and has to be reset to get working again. Doesn't handle motion well either.

Ever since my son received this TV, I’ve been extremely amazed with both the clarity and all of the functions this TV has! Once my son got the unit all set up, he showed me all the different apps he had downloaded onto the device and I was completely blown away. The TV has all of the latest apps including Amazon Prime Video, Pandora, Hulu, Netflix, and much more. Once we explored all the apps, we watched a movie on the unit and I was stunned by how loud the sound is! The TV is almost too loud! Additionally, even at its loud volume, the sound was ultra-clear. I could hear every leaf rustling during the movie. The next important note to make about this TV that took me by surprise the most is the screen clarity. I can’t believe how clear the screen is. The color is very sharp and bright. The smart features of this TV are also quite impressive. I noticed that as the room got darker when we were watching our movie, the TV automatically got darker. This is great so that you’re able to always get an optimal balanced viewing experience. I don’t think there’s a whole lot that could be better with this TV. The Hisense android TV H9 Quantum Series 4k ULED TV has one of the most beautiful pictures I've ever witnessed in my home! The picture is so clear and crisp! I'm able to see parts of movies I've never seen before due to the contrast between the white and black on this television being so detailed. I love the hands-free Google assistant feature! The sound is amazing! It's so loud and clear, I rarely turn the volume up past 20. I'm able to have all the extra apps in one place. There's no need to plug anything extra in. Hands down the best televisions I've owned. I still haven't gotten through all the features and settings, it's amazing! I am planning on getting another! I pulled the trigger today on this tv after reading all reviews and comparing a plethora of tvs through rtings website. My goal was to get the best tv on a budget and based on reviews this blows all the competition out of the water. PS5 and Xbox SX will not get 4k 120FPS stable, so my goal was to get the best quality picture I can at 4K 60 FPS. I will make my update once I get this tv set up. Can't beat Best Buy prices with this tv, I looked!

Wonderful, Perfect for the PS5. Although the smart tv UI can be a bit laggy sometimes and the remote doesn't always stay paired to the tv Bluetooth

Quite possibly the best TV one could ever buy! At a time when Hisense was up and coming. A true believer and a high quality TV

This tv works great... for a while. The 4k works only for streaming, it can't stream disc's in 4k. After about 2 years, it crapped out. It gets stuck on a reboot screen. I fixed it for a while by unplugging literally everything, even my internet stuff and leaving it all unplugged for 8-10 hours. That lasts for about a month and i have to do it all over again. Very frustrating. Not worry it. Get a better, more reliable brand.

This ain’t it chief. Quality control issues is hisense’s game. I got a H9G due to the H8G I bought being delivered destroyed, I thought wow the picture looks great, then I started paying attention to the picture, there is a horrible red ghosting issue that is SUPER VISIBLE! The motion even in sports mode is POOR, run a test on it and you will see it. Vertical banding is a joke in these, when you pause YouTube or have content displayed for example on a panning shot up you see lines. The speakers on mine were shot. There was uniformity issues and the dirty screen effect that were very present on my model. I shouldn’t have to play panel lottery spending 700 dollars on a TV. If you get one of these run a banding test, color test and a motion and a uniformity test the day you buy it, if it looks good keep it. I returned this and got a Sony X950 and don’t regret it. The Best Buy I returned it too went right back and put this defective TV back on sale on the floor as open box. Best Buy that is not okay.
