A Very good TV for the price.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After an initial issue with a combination of problems with Comcast (needed a new comcast box) and needed tv software updates all at the same time. It now works very well. I did turn off the google listening function - just because it would pick-up random conversations around the TV.

Replaced a Samsung
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Never been happier with a TV purchase. This TV was bought to replace a Samsung that got a yellow stripe down the side of the screen. I did a lot of research before making up my mind on what I should get. This Hisense H9G ticked off all the boxes for what I was looking for in a TV. It has a super crisp picture that my dad was kind of jealous of - seeing as how he spent 2-3k on a LG recently. The blacks are so black - makes white logo's or fonts jump off the screen. Love watching Dolby Vision stuff on Netflix with this - it looks like you're there. The speakers are amazing (I just wish I could use them - too scared to after numerous tv's in the past had speaker issues before screen issues). Sometimes I get buyer remorse - not this time.

Hello Color!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my review all the while not knowing exactly what 4K was. Let me tell you the colors are Amazing! It is truly stunning. Backtracking to my purchase, it was super easy to get out of the box and set up. I'm 5'3 and did it all myself. I connected it to my Google account and ta da! The sound quality of the tv is awesome. I don't have any issues hearing voices at all. I have the setting set to automatically format to whatever I'm watching/playing so if it's a game it automatically formats the sound and picture quality for game mode. The tv is gorgeous and fits in well. I'm already considering buying another one for my living room! :)

Insane picture quality.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Incredible picture as far as contrast, sharpness. HDR pops off the screen. Even SD looks great. only negative is motion is not great. Tried to tinker with motion settings but still haven't' found the right setting. Definitely a winner though for the performance to price.

Quality is good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We recently upgraded our old television to the new 55” Hisense H9G Quantum Television. It is in our living room. I’m so glad that we did. The picture quality is excellent. The colors are so clear, especially when watching in HD and 4K. The sound is like theater sound, just from the television speakers alone, compared to our previous television. We watch TV using the Amazon and Disney+ apps. My favorite part about this upgrade is that we can use one remote for almost all of our needs. The only downside, if there really is one, would be that I would get a 65” rather than the 55”. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion.

H9G goes to distance for less than $1,000
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First thing: This is a wonderful tv. Seriously, going from a 32" HD Toshiba to 55" 4K UHD Hisense provides a vastly superior movie viewing experience. The best features have to be the Dolby Vision HDR which looks stunning, then the 4K upscaling on full HD content, especially from a blu-ray likewise looks very good, and the native apps. Now that said this tv is definitely the best BUDGET option when you dive into the world of high end tvs BUT I will say I have noticed some REALLY bad macroblocking and pixelization in really dark scenes when viewing HD content on apps like Netflix and HBO Max. This problem does NOT exist when you're viewing 4K content and definitely content with HDR. All the 4K content looks amazing BUT the tv can't save you from a low bitrate signal from a streaming platform that has movies and shows RIDDLED with compression artifiacts so you'll probably want to have a library of blu-rays of movies you really love so you can watch them in the best resolution and quality. Or just invest in a 4K blu-ray player to take advantage of the display. I usually watch SDR content in Theater Day or Theater Night mode depending on the time of day and use the presets that automatically come on for HDR content. If you're watching at night and you notice the motion is kinda blurry I recommend turning on Motion Clearness which does the same thing as Motion Enhancement but doesn't induce the soap opera effect.

Great TV at this or double the price point!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very nice TV. Great picture and quality build/appearance at this price point or over twice this price point. Simple straight forward setup too. Connected to my WiFi immediately and updated right away. I've had no issues with anything to date. I took off a point, (more like half a point), for the wonky placement of the cable/antenna connecter. It connects on the side of the set and the coax cable is visible like a big ear poking out. I'm afraid I'll break something if I try bending it down any further. I'll look into purchasing a right angle adapter which should take care of it. With all the cable cutters out here this should have been placed on the back side with the component inputs, etc. Other than that, it's an awesome set!

Best Bang for the Buck!!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You want find another TV with this picture quality at this price point no where on the market. Hisense keeps getting better and better, and the H9G is a reflection of how performance, budget, and build quality doesn’t have to break the bank! For $650 this thing is better than the Sony X900H at half the price. You want be disappointed with this purchase! This TV is amazing right out of the box!

Amazing 4K HDTV! Picture quality is mind-blowing!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I researched tons of 4K options over the past few months and I kept coming back to the 55" H9G. Our Sony x850h had a number of issues, so I took the plunge a picked one up for $650. During the initial setup DO NOT UPDATE THE FIRMWARE!!! Many reviews loved the H9G BEFORE the updates, and then picture quality goes down. Until Hisense works out the bugs, just hold off on any updates. After some minor changes in settings (many guides can be found online to get amazing picture quality without calibration services), I was amazed just how clear everything was! The images almost seem to have a 3D-like quality to them. There are independent settings for SDR, HDR, and Dolby Vision, so you can customize your settings for each option. I tested a 4K HDR disc on my xBox One S, but the TV would not pick up the HDR signal (the picture quality was still amazing!). I have a feeling it could be a slower HDMI cable rather than the TV. I switched to Apple TV and the TV picked up all of the signals for HDR and Dolby Vision. I do no use any of the apps built into the TV since I use Apple TV for all of my streaming, so I am unable to speak to how well they work. My sound also goes through a Denon AVR-S730H and do not use the speakers on the TV. If you are able to actually find one of these models in stock anywhere, I highly recommend picking one up!

WOW!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A huge improvement over my 4-year-old Toshiba 4K TV. Very bright but also very black blacks, my prev. TV was not HDR. What an improvement! it was an absolute steal on sale for $650. The new model coming out might have some nice improvement but also a price increase. I'm happy to have bought this model and have no regrets!

Great picture
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yay, received my tv yesterday and immediately set it up. The picture quality is phenominal!! I love the ability to use Google to tell the tv what to do, finally someone figured out you don't neef the remote to speak to the unit. Great job folks. The speakers work very well also, nice volume and clear speech for internal tv speakers. The avaliability of apps and programs is great too. I can even get Peacock tv without a cablebox. Set up was quite simple with my Android phone and app integration! I did notice that sometimes it appears to take a while for things to load and swith between apps. Overall, first night with tv I am very impressed! I received the tv at a discount for my unbiased review

Great so far
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TV for the price. Was deciding between this and TCL 6 series. Picture quality is great with deep blacks and good brightness, and native 120 Hz is good for gaming and sports. The only issue so far is banding with some grey pictures. Google assistant and android TV very easy to use, just as easy as Roku. So far very happy with purchase.

Best TV I ever bought for the price point
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Android OS is fast and smooth. Great picture overall and excellent sound from the speakers. Bluetooth connectivity work great as well. Did not receive is lag audio or disconnects with headphones but I noticed some problems with wireless earbuds. The TV is a large room so I blame the earbuds for weak connection range. The TV does a good job at upscaling content 1080p to 4k. When I tried play some 4k encoded content I did notice some minor motion lag from Plex but eventually it corrected itself on its own. One time I played the same movie again in both Plex and Kodi and was getting some terrible buffering even 10 seconds and again it end up working fine in Plex after on its own and I never check after if it was still an issue in Kodi. I have to assume there was some problem it trying to decode the file but I couldn't figure out what the issue was before it resolved itself. I played some games from a Xbox S and it looked and performed as well given the S is not true 4k and only upscaled 4k games. Also, all the typical streaming platforms worked well. The only dislike is I wish the remote had backlighting for the buttons to see them in a dark room.

A Steal For The Price
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Something to keep in mind before reading this review: I'm moving up from a Panasonic TC-P42ST30 plasma (and all of the other TVs in my house that are Sony 1080p LCDs). I was going back and forth between this set, and an entry-level LG OLED. In the end, the plasma TV ghosting/burn-in (2:35-1 movies, HUD games) I was dealing with for almost a decade made the choice easy for me. Yes, I could have bought the higher quality OLED, but how long would it last (screen dimming over time, etc.)? When I buy a TV for my media room, I'm in it for the long run. That's why I bought this set. It took a lot of time to fine-tune, but BOY was it worth it. The picture this gets is gorgeous. If you don't believe me, check out this video on the set: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mn7HB1AqqTQ&t=1736s One of my friends (who's had an OLED for years) was blown away by this! What people say is right: this is a flamethrower...VERY bright. But that truly makes everything pop. Yes, it's a no-name set. But who gives a crap. The proof is in the picture.

H9G
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I need a new TV. After 6 months researching for new tv I end up get Hisense H9G 55inch. A lot of good reviewer out there talking about how awesome this tv was so I end up getting it. I turn on the tv after set it up The picture was beautiful awesome love it BUT!!! When I watch action movies I see the Blur on it. Try to do picture setting but still see the Blur. Wondering if my TV infected or any type of setting that I have to do. Try all type of setting but it’s still the same. Wonder if you guys have the same issue. Any picture setting will help thx.

Amazed and Disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is amazing. Colors are vibrant, the screen is bright, clarity is super sharp and after some personal preference adjustments UHD 4K is very near lifelike. Some features are a bit much, but they are manageable and/or easily disabled. The menu is user friendly with moderate knowledge of what each setting does. The only disappointment I have with this TV is that it's advertised as 120hz refresh rate. It may operate it's streaming content at 120hz but I do play PC games and purchased this TV under the assumption it would operate at 4K 120hz. It does not. The HDMI ports are clearly labeled 4K 60Hz. When connected to my PC The native resolution is 3840 x 2160 @ 60Hz. I can improve the resolution to 4096 x 2160 but the refresh rate suffers dramatically dropping to 30Hz. I checked the specs for my video card and it supports 4K at 120Hz. With that being said this TV performs flawlessly with everything I've thrown at it. It is an amazing TV and my friends with 4K TV's are amazed by the picture quality, brightness, and color saturation. The sound is good but I purchased a 5.1 sound bar and UHD Blue Ray Player at the same time so I disabled the TV speakers. With optical cable connection there was a noticeable delay in sound between the TV and the bar that caused an echo type effect that is annoying unless your watching a movie. When watching a movie with the TV speakers and the bar both playing sound it enhances the surround effect. I haven't noticed any shudder, stutter or pixelation during gameplay at 3840 x 2160 @ 60Hz. I have not tried it at 4096 x 2160. All in all I have recommended this TV to friends and family.

Great Value for the Price!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was on the fence about this TV, with needing a new TV soon and needing a budget set it was between this and the possible new TCL 635 (but I didn't know when the release date of this set). I was worried about the quality and screen quality (DSE), but the screen is perfect, no dirty screen effect and almost no vignetting (dark areas in the corner of the screen). Plays video games very well, and have had no problems with input lag or any red motion blur. I have not played 4k @ 60hz yet, but 1080p plays very well and is super clean and responsive. 4k HDR content, with netflix and amazon prime, looks amazing. The screen is gets very bright , but you can turn this down if you would like and the brightness makes the perceived contrast look great and makes images and colors pop. The new TCL does look like it could be a great purchase with a little more dimming zones and mini-LED technology, but I am not upset at all with this TV and am very happy with my purchase so far.

Great for the money
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One month so far. I was really impressed until idid the hisense update. Now i notice banding, blooming and halos especially in 480p and 720p. I'm still impessed by the quality and value for the money. The update issues can be annoying if you're looking for them, but the overall visual quality is great. Super bright tv. The remote lacks a couple features iliked with my old Samsung like channel recall and antenna tv guide. If This tv lasts many years ill be satisfied with its stunning 4k ultra resolution.

Hisense is the new Samsung
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an amazing TV. Android TV is incredible. It acts just like a google assistant. You can turn it on and off with your voice, volume, etc. I have Roku TV's and one of the most frustrating things is how laggy and slow it is. THis is amazingly fast. I guess time will tell if it becomes laggy like Roku but right now it is the fastest interface I have ever used. The brightness on this TV is off the charts and picture quality is incredible. You do have the option with a manual switch to turn off the mic if your the type of person that has a lot to hide because its always listening otherwise. Samsung has a lot to worry about at this price point for value. Hisense is the new Samsung.
