Great TV for the Price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall impressed with the picture quality. Streams 4k content beautifully with no problem. Set up for TV was really easy and the interface is intuitive and useful. I bought the TV for gaming and while the refresh rate is 120 hz, there is still some motion lag and the 'game mode' lacks a little in terms of preset value. The LED causes some blurred black spaces but overall I would reccomend this TV.

So far an excellent tv
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having just purchased this tv one week ago I can say that it has all the features that I need. I don't need my Roku device anymore as the tv has those features built in the operating system. The color and clarity are excellent. Setup was easy, the back has a place to route your cabling and the stand is adequate, however if you have small children I recommend a strap on the back to secure it. This of course is if you have the tv on a stand. I hope my satisfaction continues for the next 10 to 15 years!!!

Glad I chose this TV for gaming.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great tv. I spent a lot of time deciding between this one and the TCL 6 2020 for the upcoming PS5, however, comparisons I found online showed flat out that this one has a higher quality picture. The gaming mode input lag appears to be quite a bit lower even than the TCL 6 2020. I haven't had any of the technical issues some people have experienced so far with this TV. I really don't play FPS games anyways and tend to play RPGs and when I put the picture settings on VIVID, although its input lag isn't as great as it is on game mode, its still definitely playable (you've got to pay real close attention to notice an input lag of a tenth or so of a second). Minute blooming so small when white on black background I can hardly even tell if its just light shining off my glasses; color uniformity is also great.

So Many Features
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has been great! The picture quality and speaker sound is excellent. There are so many apps for watching shows, playing games, etc. The remote is easy to use but voice control takes it to another level. This TV is a great value and I would highly recommend it. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my review.

Bright TV, maybe good for gaming?
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Man does this thing get bright. Like really bright. Great contrast, some halo around title boxes and logos on Netflix with active backlight zones on, but nothing noticable during regular video. Flames in HDR look like they've torn a hole through the panel directly to the backlight, a minor distraction. The out of the box color is inaccurate, definitely purplish. It got better after my amateur calibration, but still not where I like it. It does allow you to go into a blue-only mode, if you're AV inclined, but would probably require professional calibration to get them most from it. Sound is impressive for a modern TV, but you'll still need a soundbar to get sub bass and dialogue clarity. Wound up returning it because of persistent stuttering during slow pans in cinematic content. Fast motion was decently clear, but a slow drone shot going over a glacial waterfall on Moving Art literally caused motion sickness with the jiggling picture. I watch way too many movies for this not to be an issue, so back it went. I don't believe there is VRR support, and the 120hz is somewhat misleading (read up elsewhere), but that said, every device I hooked up to this thing worked with no issues, and no fuss. Suffice to say it wasn't the right fit for the kind of viewing I do, but still a great deal for the specs.

Terrific performance and value
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this as a replacement for a 43" LG we'd been using in our bedroom. The LG simply was not very bright, especially in dark scenes, despite it having sharp and clear picture quality. Based on the review in Rtings.com for this set, I decided to buy it and I was not disappointed in any way. Super bright picture, with outstanding clarity, edge resolution, and contrast. Using the recommended settings from Rtings, which involved mostly just setting the Picture Mode to Theater Dark for night and Theater Bright for daytime, and color temperature to Low-Med (from low). Terrific budget-priced TV if you want top performance at a moderate price. Very happy with this thing.

Probably the best value TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I enjoy the TV, but I think that's more a product of having upgraded from a 2007 Panasonic 42in Plasma (still love this thing, it's going strong). Things I like: Picture quality seems excellent. I have tried several different types of content, colors are great, clarity is great, brightness is really great. Things I like less: the TV seems to suffer from a lot of motion blur. It's unclear to me about what's causing this. I've been using the Android TV OS that came with it (newest updates, firmware etc.), and I can't quite figure it out. When I turn on motion clearness, it helps, but the brightness take a HUGE hit. The TV speakers are really poor, so make sure you don't rely on it if you want good sound quality. Things I dislike: Speaking of Android TV OS, I like the layout, I HATE how much it lags. I am going to blame Hisense on this one, because I've used my friend's Android service on his Sony X900H and it's not even comparable. It's fast, snappy, and responsive. On the H9G...not so much. I've got fairly good internet connectivity, and my wireless is putting out 300mb/s. It's the TV and it's likely the processor. I just purchased a new Roku, so hopefully I can move on from Android. Things I hate: I wouldn't call the TV "damaged" when I opened the package, but the back side of the top left bezel was slightly bulging in a clearly visible way. I don't think this affected performance, but I don't have anything to compare this to. I did not want to risk getting an even worse TV by returning it, and did not want to take the time to get it back to Best Buy. Seems like something that should have been noticed and not sold. Overall, I think the TV was worth the $$.

Amazing TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was initially skeptical about the buy but so far I'm totally impressed. Would definitely recommend it to anyone short on budget trying to buy a good quality/picture 4K TV. Easy to use and the picture quality is amazing. The only issue I have so far is with the amazon prime app (it is a sometimes buggy when trying to search/navigate through the titles - sometimes does not load the image and you would have to exit the app and then load it again for it to start working correctly). However, this is an app issue and not necessary the TV per say, so a future update of the amazon prime app could resolve the issue. Overall, I'm definitely happy with the purchase.

Great Picture
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has an excellent picture with smooth motion once you get it set up correctly. I had the H8G in the living room which has a big sliding glass door next to it and on the sunniest of days, the H8G could get washed out by the sun light. The H9G gets much brighter and you don't even notice it now. I was a big Roku fan, but after using this Android TV for a while, I have forgotten about the Roku. Only problem I had was sometimes the mic on the TV would think I said the magic work for it to start listening for a command.. I turned the mic off (has a switch on the front) and now my programs do not get interrupted. Love the built in Chromecast also.

Incredible Value for the price!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this for our new apartment. I was very surprised by the sheer brightness of the tv, you could almost use it outside. I am also impressed by the colors the tv is able to produce. The greens just punch you in the face. The blacks as very dark, there is a bit of crushing in very dark scenes but its worlds better than my older Samsung. I calibrated some of the settings and improved things a little bit. The sound is fantastic, I thought I would need to buy a soundbar since all my previous tv's suffered in the sound department. No need here, the sound is bold. I rarely ever watch anything over a volume level of 15 on this tv. If you want a ton of value for your money, buy it!

Worth all of $650
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV outperforms my 65” LG Nano all day! Streaming movies and shows look incredible! As a heavy ps4 pro user, it took me about 2 weeks to really dial in the picture calibration settings. I was a bit disappointed that it’s a 120 refresh rate on the panel ONLY, but with the seemingly infinite amount of colors, super low input lag, and just about the brightest panel I’ve ever seen I’ve gotten past the misleading refresh rate. Was going to return for the TCL R635, but getting the calibration settings 100% to my liking made that idea more work than it’s worth. Highly recommend! Thank you to the store associate who steered me away from the overpriced Sony X850.

Good TV For the Money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is in the budget category. I've only had this TV for 2 days. So far, I'm liking it. Be sure to follow up direction on the box and booklet. Then you won't have any grief. Assembly the stand on the TV is easy. All metal. Very sturdy. If you are familiar with Android/Google set up, then set up will be easy. The sound quality pretty, if you decided to opt-out on the sound bar. You will definitely need to tweak the picture brightness, contrast, CC, etc. It's very bright at set up. CC is very large. The remote is easy to use but there are a lot of options on the remote. Can be confusing for a non-gadget person. Since this is a 4K TV, PLEASE remember, not all shows, videos, etc., you watch will be 4K quality. Some shows, videos, etc. pre-dated 4K technology and/or did not get upgraded with 4K technology. Quite a few old shows were upgraded with 4K technology. So don't blame the TV if you don't see 4K quality pictures consistently. This is a good buy for the money. Cross my fingers and hope this TV will give me years of enjoyment!

I Like this TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this TV. For the money, I agree with reviewers who have said that this model is the best bang for the buck under $1000. It is super bright and does a decent job of reflection reduction. I think it competes with OLED TVs costing much more. Blacks are very black. 4K content looks very good. It does a good job of upscaling regular HD content as well. Another thing I like is the Android OS - it is fast and has no ads and is very intuitive. The grey screen uniformity could be a little better on my unit (like when the YouTube splash screen is displayed) but this has no effect on normal viewing.

Fantastic mid-range TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great TV for watching 4K HDR movies. It gets very bright. It doesn't handle motion very well, but most console players won't notice that. HDMI CEC works perfectly with my A/V reciever and all the devices hooked up to that. Save money and still get great results with this TV.

Amazing picture, so-so sound!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture on it is amazing!!! One of the best viewing experiences I’ve ever had at home. The sound is lacking. I feel it is either too loud or too low....I can never find a middle ground. I’m constantly turning up the volume during movies, and when something exciting is happening, I’m always turning it down, and then I can’t hear any dialogue hahah. With a soundbar...I think this would be perfect. Even though it’s says 120 refresh rate, you will be gaming at 4K/60ghz. In my opinion PS5 or Xbox hasn’t even really put out to many games or none at all that are running native 4K/120ghz, so it’s not a huge issue right now. So I recommend this for next ten gaming as well!! My Ps5 looks amazing on it!! So if you’re on the fence with this tv, and are willing to spend an extra 200 bucks on a sound bar, I think you can’t go wrong!! The other thing I forgot to mention...if you have a smaller tv stand, this tv is much different then others. The legs are in the middle, and will only take a little room on top of your stand. Most or all TVs in this size have legs that are located on the ends, and could be a huge issue. This was specifically why I purchased this set over the TVL 6 Series. Very Happy!!

A good purchase
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a smart tv to integrate in with existing Google/Nest devices. The Hisense fits the bill. The UI is easy to understand and use. Switching between apps and live television is simple. The longest part of the setup was downloading the software updates. Picture quality is great. Colors are vibrant. The TV is quite bright

Great Picture Quality
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup for the TV was really easy, took less than 10 minutes to set up and update. Sound quality is very good. Remote is easy to use but using the voice control makes it even easier to access all of the features of the TV. Picture quality is excellent and seems to get better the more I watch especially when watching one of my favorite shows, Yellowstone! Lots of apps for plenty of viewing options including Disney+ and Netflix. Really enjoying the gaming mode. Couldn't be happier with this TV. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my review.

Great TV at ANY Price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The reviews on rtings.com is why I purchased this TV and I am here to say this TV does NOT disappoint. One of its BEST FEATURES is it's NOT CRAMMED with Forced Advertisements the way most TV GUI's are these days. I just hope Hisense stays on this path of NON COMMERCIALISM because they will have a loyal patron in me. I use the TV as a PC Monitor mainly but do use it as a TV and I am here to say either way is perfect. As a 4K PC Monitor it rocks. Sure there is a bit of lag and that could be attributed to many things so to single out just the TV would be an error on my part. I hope this TV lasts a long time because replacing its feature set alone will be difficult; I know I've tried. I didn't care for it at first and boxed it up and almost returned it. I then started to try a few different brands and it did not take me long to realize what a huge mistake it would be to NOT give this TV a second chance and I am sure glad I did because now I'm hooked on this Brand, Hisense. So much so I purchased a second, smaller unit, to use as a second PC monitor and a bedtime TV option. The best part is the Remote for this 55" TV also works on my 40" secondary Monitor, so needless to say one button turns both TVs Off or On. Better yet is the 40" remote ONLY works on the 40" TV for when I choose to watch only it at bedtime. So far I have not had any issues with it. One of the bad things rtings.com did say is the TV gets hot near the top back, which mine does also, but I hope nothing comes of it. They also said no one has mentioned anything wrong with it getting hot; just that it does. You get more than your money's worth with this TV. The GUI is very user friendly and the remote just works. I don't need to learn what the buttons do, they are placed in a way that just allows them to function as intended. Other remotes it just seems button placement is over thought out or something; as if they are trying to make changes on purpose just for the sake of change. I pick up this remote and just seem to know what button to push to get the TV to do as I want it to do. The Android OS is wonderful too and again does not force Advertisements down my throat the way other TVs do.
