Would not buy again
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tv about a year ago. I got it because it was 4k so that way I could watch 4k movies. Well I found out that most apps are not compatible with hisense. So I couldn't watch 4k from vudu or YouTube. My Amazon prime kept telling me there was not enough band with to play even though there was plenty. The only way to watch Amazon prime was to reset to factory settings a couple times a day. Then the remote quit working. I took it to a repair shop and was told that hisense has trouble with remotes connecting to the tv. So a couple times a day I had to unplug the tv for 30 minutes so it would find the remote again. I called hisense help line and would always get the runaround until the warranty ran out then they wouldn't help at all. Very poor tv and very poor customer service. I will never buy another hisense again

Horrible product and customer service

I started having issues with my Netflix app “force closing” on its own about a month ago. It has slowly started happening to all the apps. So I did a little trouble shooting and factory reset the tv and now it doesn’t work at all!!!! So today I decided to give a call to the customer service of Hisense hoping that I would get some help as to how I can fix and received absolutely no help at all!!! Not even an apology for a $500 product failing after just a year. I couldn’t even get them to point me in a good direction to get the tv fixed! All I was told is “ we will have a different specialist contact you”. So I asked to speak to a supervisor and that absolutely got me no where. The guy just said “We can’t do anything on our end” So I contacted a tv repair guy who kindly let me know how Hisense customer service is terrible with him when he try’s to work with them to get there own products fixed that they refuse to fix. I would not recommend waisting your money on any of there products because they will break in you and will not help in any way shape or form to help get there porly made products fixed.

Love this TV

Was apprehensive to get another 'cheap' tv but this TV definitely doesnt feel cheap. Was on sale for $299 as a "deal of the day" price and figured i couldn't go wrong. we use the apps on it all the time and it works flawlessly when changing from tv to apps or between anything else. one thing i really like about it is the remote. it does not feel cheap whatsoever and is very well laid out. all in all i would recommend this tv very highly!

Nice Picture Great Audio EARC Out for 4k Content
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Enjoying 4k streaming on VUDU and UHD Discs from Magnavox Player which has no HDMI audio out port so am stuck with Multichannel EARC Dolby for now so video content I watch is in 4k not 1080p; do not hear a difference between normal audio to receiver or EARC even on Dolby Atmos videos/streaming content.

Won't Last a week

Within a week it started to turn itself off after a couple hours and the only way to get it to turn back on was to unplug it and plug it back in. Unfortunately, I had to go out of town so I missed the return window and am now stuck with an extremely crappy TV

Disappointed

There was no Amazon app ,but the TV indicated there would be. Two days later the Netflix app cease to work and the 4K function no longer is working. I wonder what will stop working next. Best Buy was probably glad to get rid of this lemon..

Stopped working after 2 months!

Bought this TV in July and it stopped turning on and started freezing on the smart screen in September. I have been going back and forth with the company through their warranty by replacing parts inside the tv and they still can’t seem to fix it. At this point I’m about to just throw it away and get a different brand completely! I have never purchase a tv that hasn’t lasted a few years! Save yourself the trouble and don’t get this brand!

Dont buy!

Even freezes if u turn off internet and scroll through menu. Or even if u just leave it on main screen... wont even turn off unless I unplug it. I bought this TV for xmas for my family and now have to spend Thanksgiving at best buy trying to work this out because it's my only day off work. I hope best buy makes it right and hopefully I can get store credit. Another hisense TV is not an option. I dont like paying hundreds of hard earned dollars for a 55 inch paper weight... I will update tomorrow after 6pm. Fingers crossed

Don’t buy it

If you want it to work properly, you need to reset the tv to factory setting at least once a week. The problems: tv freezes and you need to unplug it, doesn’t connect to Internet you need to do a factory reset, netflix doesn’t work you need to do a factory reset. And you cannot download apps. Just buy another Tv don’t waste your money or time with this one. Im over this tv, its just a hassle.

Freezes every other time that I turn it on
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive had it a month and it constantly freezes on the Hisense smart tv screen when I turn it on, at which point I have to unplug it, hold the power button down 30 seconds, plug it back in and if im lucky the 6th time it actually starts up. Ive called Hisense now 4 times and to my surprise they told me to to unplug it, hold the power button down 30 seconds, plug it back in and if im lucky the 6th time it actually starts up.
