    I had an older (2009) 55" LG plasma TV. There was nothing wrong with it but I had friends tell me the pictures on the new TVs were much better. I looked into 4K TVs because I just wanted a nicer picture. I really did not think I needed a new TV as they are expensive. I found this TV for a really good deal and I have had a Hisense TV before and it lasted forever so I felt that I was fine with the brand even though I had an LG and I know people like Samsung TVs as well. I did not want to pay more than $400 so there was a limited selection for what I wanted. A 4K 55" TV for under $300 was a great deal. The 4K is a night and day difference. I watch movies, TV shows, and play Xbox and it all looks amazing. I used a Firestick but since this TV is a smart TV I can now watch Hulu and Netflix in 4K without having to buy the 4K Firestick for $50. No complaints at all. Slim bezel/border, great picture, fast for the most part. I love this TV and glad that I bought it.

    Too smart for me

    Picture is great but I regret buying a “smart” tv... it froze or something the first night and the only option is to unplug it. My Xbox won’t work on it oddly enough. I literally unplugged my previous “dumb” 1080p tv and plugged in this one and nothing. The hdmi slot is lit up like it’s getting a signal but when selected it’s just a black screen, after about 3 min it goes back to the apps. If I could go back I’d save a few bucks, buy a dumb tv and and stick with Roku.

    I paid 239 dollars for this tv and couldn’t be much happier for the price. This television really shines when watching movies displayed in HDR and Dolby Vision on Netflix. The speakers are loud and clear and the remote control fits nicely in the palm of my hands. I would say the picture quality of this tv is a step below the 2018 TCL 6 series which in my opinion has an excellent picture regardless of price. I think that the average consumer will be happy with this tv and should not spend much more money for established brands.

    Will never buy a Hisense tv again the system has major software issues it will lag and get stuck in a booting loop. Thought it was a good price but just planned obsolescence

    I am having some issues with Chromecast on this TV. I thought it was the unit so Best Buy came out and delivered another one. Today, new TV same issue. I’m using a chromecast app that worked fine at first. Now all of a sudden the cast icon is flickering red. There are no options in the settings menu to troubleshoot. This I really irritating and disappointing. I call Hisense they tell me I need to call Google? Huh? Why is this happening? This was supposed to be a treat to myself and now I’m regretting it.

    This was a replacement tv for my TCL when it went bad. I would not personally choose this tv. It freezes constantly. I don't like that it is google run and works like giant phone.

    Great price, great picture for watching movies or shows. HORRIBLE for watching football or hockey!!! Picture is twitchy and will give you a headache.

    Slow, Freezes Often

    If you are looking for a smart TV, I would not recommend this one. The picture quality and sound were as expected, however, the operating system would freeze when using apps. The video would freeze and the audio would continue sometimes for a few minutes before they video would "catch up." If you don't need it for a smart TV, save your money and buy a non-smart TV. If you plan to use common apps, buy a different TV.

    Motherboard Failure

    I purchased 2 of these tvs for my kids in 2019. My son's motherboard went out in 01/22. I thought it might have just been a bad one, but now my daughter's just went out 07/22. The motherboards cannot be replaced. You will need to purchase a new tv. Thankfully I purchased warranty on them. I would have to say it was a GREAT tv when it was working.
