Horrible choice
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After owning an older model I thought this was a good deal. Boy was I wrong. That 9 year old model I had had better picture quality and it was not 4K. Returned TV.

Completely broken
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV turned on maybe two or three times and now will no longer power on. When it could, Roku TV itself could not stream 4k from Netflix or Amazon (other devices in our household can). Not worth the $300

So far so good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Satisfied with the TV so far. Picture looks good. Works well with my Xbox one x (need to toggle some options in Xbox and TV before 4k and HDR works). For Xbox 4k is only available at 24Hz not 50 Hz, not sure if I miss any setting or so, but game runs smooth. Roku works smooth as well.

Nearly Flawless Experience!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned this Hisense R7E 55" TV for just over a week, and really enjoy it. The picture and sound are excellent, and the only imperfection I've detected is the sound might be softer on certain ROKU app content, requiring me to turn up the volume. There are plenty of settings for picture and sound, the WIFI is AC dual band, and has not dropped the signal, and I find viewing angles to be fine in my living room. For this price range (I paid $299.99), the only other 4K Roku TV I'd consider is the Sharp 58" model, which has a current price of $379 but I've seen priced as low as $349.99 recently. Sharp is made by Hisense, so I suspect quality and experience would be similar. For three extra inches of diagonal length, the extra $50 might be worth it. For a 55" Roku TV (and Roku is GREAT to have), I think this Hisense offers the best combination of price, quality, and value.

A great TV at a great price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really didn't expect much from this TV as I had never bought or owned a Hisense TV in the past. I always stuck to buying Samsung, LG, Sony or Toshiba. But I found out Hisense bought Sharp's LCD business several years ago, and all Sharp TVs are made by Hisense. This information gave me a little confidence boost in trying out a Hisense TV. Although an identical TV (55R6000E) was available at Walmart at a lower price, it was impossible to find a Walmart store that actually carried such model at a heavily discounted price. After setting up the TV, I immediately noticed an improvement over my Toshiba AQUOS TV which once was a top of the line model a decade ago. My brother has a 1-yr old $1,000 LG 55-inch TV with all the bells and whistles but he was really impressed with ROKU's features and performance. The video/audio quality is also above expectation considering the price. I am really digging streaming video files from my desktop to ROKU. Hopefully, it will last me a few years until I move onto a bigger screen.

Great tv for a small price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm happy with my new TV because it meets my expectations, provides a very good experience within its platform Roku, very easy to use, in addition to the quality of image and sound, not bad for only $ 299 in Best buy. That is a great tv for a small price ...

Great TV for the $$, Easy Set-up, Nice picture.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical because of the low price and I had never owned a Hisense TV but I became pleasantly surprised with the great picture easy set-up and operation. This was also my first smart tv with ROKU and the streaming set-up was easy as can be.

Samsung and Hisence look the same!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cons: Unknown name, Chinese made. (They also manufacture Sharp and Toshiba brands) Poor startup instructions. No analog audio outputs, only inputs. (Have to purchase digital audio converter to an analog external surround system) Pros: Value to price is excellent. Picture is amazing once you spend an hour or so fiddling with a huge amount of video and audio adjustments available although pre-sets are pretty good. (I'm just picky) After adjustments, audio is excellent from embedded speakers. (I use the "Big Bass" selection which gives you a much richer and louder tone) I've never seen a tv that you can fine tune as much and as easily as this.

Very nice TV, great Best Buy service!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy set up, nice picture. Have 3 of these TV's, picture is great on all of them as long as you adjust the settings to your liking. Speakers vary per TV. 1st one speakers ok, 2nd one pretty good, 3rd one best so far. Best Buy service is very good and they are very helpful.

Excellent value for the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TV, the embedded Roku works very well (including tons of free channels) and sound / video quality is more than acceptable. This isn't our main TV but more than does the job in a basement game room on a mount.

Don't buy if you're hooking up a PC to it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a 2 yr old H6 series Hisense that was awesome. Compared to that one the picture quality on this one is very average. It has a nice picture but you won't say to yourself "awesome". Not many picture settings to make it any better either. I was upset that for a TV that is suppose to have "motion rate 120" technology, there are no settings to adjust. In fact I couldn't tell this TV even had it. The contrast ratio of this TV is below average imho. This TV doesn't get very bright. Where this TV shines is playing 4k HDR content. Looked great. But upscaling to 4k was very average. Didn't look any better than 1080p. Roku worked fine and much faster than a 2 year old Roku Tv that I have in the bedroom. Now here is the big problem. I use windows media player on a PC for my DVR. The picture looked very blurry. Almost like 480i. What the!! Tried different cables and all 3 HDMI ports and it was the same on all. I decided to try using an HDMI switch and hooked up both this TV and an Insignia 55 4k Fire TV so I could see if thee was a difference. Heck yeah. The Fire TV was crystal clear HD and the Hisense looked gawd awful blurry. Tried game mode "notice there isn't an input labeled computer". No difference. Switched cables. It's not the cables. So either I received a faulty TV with terrible HDMI circuitry or heaven forbid, they are all like this. If your HDMI connections don't look HD, then you got screwed.
