Good 4K/audio but software occasionally sluggish

A few years ago, I would have never taken a second look at a Hisense TV, thinking they wouldn’t come close to the ‘big name’ players in the TV world. However, I now own three (2 at 75” and this particular model at 55”). Hisense has become my go-to brand and I recommend them to everyone. With this model, the QD6, it is still a good 4K TV but it does have a few flaws with the software. I usually love Fire TVsoftware, but it does seem to lag a bit when selecting items or going to menus. I never have that when I use a ‘standalone’ HDMI Fire stick. However, with the Fire TV built in, it is easy to switch from over-the-air to streaming apps easier than the plug-in version.
With regards to the actual TV picture quality and sound, I have no issue. I tested out a few shows and compared the quality/sound with my other Hisense TVs (one with a soundbar and the other without). Obviously, it always benefits having a soundbar, but the QD6 does have a good sound for its location (child’s bedroom). The 4K is vibrant also and I have no issue with the backlighting.

Not bad for an inexpensive, entry lvl TV in the 55" class. It's definitely built with a smaller room in mind as the speakers do their best work in a smaller space and the screen doesn't handle glare so well. All in all I would say I'm happy with it as a cheap secondary tv. The picture is crisp enough with a little fiddling and the sound is serviceable although audiophiles will likely prefer external sound.
I bought it on sale and at that price I can say I'm happy with it. However I don't think I would have been at full price.

This TV was very easy to set up. Hisense Has come a long way. Still, this is not a OLED TV. The difference being QLED concentraits on brightness and color while OLED concentraits on deeper blacks and and higher contrasting.
I noticed when viewing at a approximate 30 degree angle the colors do become washed out. While viewing within front viewing they were fine. After awhile of using this TV I really did not think about it as much as I was intrigued by it operation.
This TV is very responsive when switching apps. It also turns on quickly. Every press of the buttons on the remote had immediate results. There was no lag time at all so I did enjoy how quick every thing worked and it suprised me especially at this price point.
HDMI ports and connections worked well. I like the size of the remote, very easy to hold and use!!
The unpacking was also a great experience as they had coveres on the sides of the TV for easy handling and protection during the unboxing.
Over All I would definitly recommend this TV if you keeping to a budget but want a great experience.

For the price to performance ratio,
This is not a bad tv. Although some colors could be brighter and motion a little better. For the price, this tv works pretty well. Only truthful complaint is that the existing software is a fire stick and we already have a fire stick device.

This is an average Picture quality TV. It is an upgrade over a base model TV that we replaced, which was seven years old and not stellar quality either. So the bar was set pretty low with this TV. The TV itself is much lighter and the picture quality and display are better than the older TV. The initial set up was annoying and took a very long time for it to boot up for the first time and then required an update that added more time. I’m familiar with fire TV, which is built in and we use it on several other TVs although it’s not my favorite web interface and leaves much to be desired. However, it was useful already having fire TV, and I simply logged into my account.. You do have to download all the apps from your profile to the current TV And sign into each app . Movies and picture quality are OK. Definitely above average from our prior model, but not come close to the level of picture quality that I’m used to with an OLED and a better quality miniLED in our family room. We are mostly using this TV for gaming with a PlayStation five and we do think the gaming and picture quality is better than the older TV. I played around with some of the TV settings to boost brightness and it does help, although you cannot tweak the menu settings much and dial it in like you can with more expensive TVs. The audio that’s built in is not great like most other TVs, but we’re using a sound system with it anyway. All in all it’s a decent display but I wouldn’t expect it to rock your world. I can’t really recommend for or against it. It just depends on what your expectations are and your price budget.

TV works fine, but one issues is the location of the HDMI ports. The HDMI ports are inaccessible when the TV is hung flush mounted to the wall. They are located so far in toward the middle of the tv body, that if you need to plug or unplug anything, you have to take it off the wall.
