Hisense delivers a solid 4K TV at a great price!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hisense has been making TV's and other similar products for quite a while, trying to always strike a good balance between price and value. And this 55" QD-LED TV does not disappoint. Let's go quickly over the unboxing which is rather unspectacular. It contains the TV, the stands, a power cable and a remote. That's the thick of it. There's also a pamphlet and other documentation. Assembly was quick and painless and the TV was up and running within less than 15 minutes. Design and quality are a bit of a mixed bag. While I do appreciate a smart TV with its own OS, I am not really fond of Fire TV, on the other hand, if you have an Amazon account, you might be happy with it as the setup will add all the streaming services you already use if any. The materials used seem to be good (even if the corners of the screen look somewhat frail) and the TV itself doesn't crowd your TV stand with only an bit wider than 34" between the stand's feet. For a 55" TV, that's not bad at all. But then again, the design of the stand is not very trustworthy as it feels like the TV isn't getting enough support (it wobbles a bit from left to right). The display is surprisingly good for the price. QLED uses quantum dots which are smaller than a regular LED/LCD matrix. The colors are vivid and the picture is sharp. It runs at 60Hz native, but you can use the built-in AI motion smoothing tech to gain what it would look like at 120Hz. The QD6 also offers 4K AI upscale which works fairly well. The brightness is okay, I still think it's a bit dark, but it does get the job done. Overall, the screen is of good quality. Connections are plenty and you should be able to hook up pretty much anything and everything to it. I went ahead and connected a decent soundbar to it as the sound from the speakers is really sub-par, which is probably my biggest gripe. I connected a console to it and it worked like a charm, HDR was detected immediately and the games look great, especially if you turn on Game Mode. Movies looked good as well and streaming worked nicely. Frankly, there's not a whole lot that's wrong with this TV. In this price range, you'd have to look far and wide to find a TV with the same features and a quality. Again, it does have some flaws, but it's still an excellent band for your hard-earned bucks.

Good Value for Budget-Friendly Viewing
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 2025 Hisense - 55" Class QD6 Series QLED TV is a solid budget-friendly option that offers decent performance for everyday use. The TV provides good picture quality with effective reflection handling and a high native contrast ratio. Equipped with a 60Hz panel and supporting 4K resolution, the TV is adequate for casual gaming. Running on Amazon's Fire TV OS, the Hisense QD6 Series offers easy access to a wide range of apps and streaming services, enhancing the overall user experience. While the Hisense QD6 has positive aspects, there are a few negatives as well. The color can appear darker compared to other TVs. Additionally, the lack of a local dimming feature can affect contrast in scenes containing both bright and dark elements. The TV has a narrow viewing angle, meaning the colors can seem washed out if you're not sitting directly in front of it. It doesn't get very bright, which can be an issue in well-lit rooms as it might struggle to overcome glare. Limited to 4K at 60Hz and lacking advanced gaming features like VRR, it might not satisfy serious gamers. The TV's picture processing is not the best when it comes to upscaling lower-resolution content. Overall, if you're looking for a budget-friendly TV with decent performance for everyday use, the Hisense QD6 Series could be a good choice. Despite some drawbacks, I find it to be a good value for the price, especially for casual viewing and use in darker rooms.

Posted .Hello Hisense Customer, Thank you for your review on the Hisense 55QD6QF and for sharing your feedback. This model has a peak brightness of 350 nits and has Game Mode Plus with Variable Refresh Rate and Auto Low Latency Mode, which makes for a smooth, lag-free playing experience. This unit also supports AI 4K upscaling, which enhances low-resolution content to nearly 4K quality. However, the upscaling procedure doesn't transform a lower resolution into a higher one; it's more of an approximation. Consequently, an image upscaled to fit the pixel count of a TV screen won't resemble an image originally filmed in 4K. If you require technical assistance, please reach out to our dedicated support team directly at 1-888-935-8880 or via email at Service@Hisense-usa.com so that we can promptly address and resolve the issue for you. Great price point TV
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first QLED tv so I was pretty excited to receive this. It arrived and was packaged well. The TV is definitely light at a little over 21 pounds. That helped me mount the TV with very little help from my wife. At the start, I didn't really notice a big difference until a walked to the other room to help my son who I was playing a game with on a separate tv. This QLED is a little brighter with more vivid colors. I had no issues loading up our Prime, Netflix, or Disney accounts which was great. We did have to an update before we started but no issues. The TV has 3 HDMI slots and 1 composite video slot. It also has a network cable hookup for direct access to the net. It has 2 USB-A ports and I optical port as well. It also offers wifi connectivity as well which I had no issue connecting to as well. My only real concerns were that is doesn't have a fast refresh rate. It has a 60HZ refresh rate...which I didn't pay attention to when it was ordered, but 120 would have been better. It shouldn't effect my normal stuff, but as a gamers it might affect fast paced games. If you spend more money you will get a better tv...but this is a decent tv for a good price.

Full Featured Plus Value
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Hisense 55 inch tv is really impressive. Ignoring the price, this is a full featured tv. It has a QLED 4k panel that gets impressively bright. It supports HDR in all of the formats - HDR 10, HDR 10+, HLG, and Dolby Vision. It also supports Dolby Atmos audio and has 4k upscaling that worked really well. Knowing the price, this is an incredibly impressive tv. That is right, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos at this price is really unbelievable. The picture is bright and clear and off angle viewing is also really good. There is a bit of glare, but not more noticeable than other TVs in the same bright room. The speakers sound good, but I would use it with a soundbar for a better experience (this is with almost all TVs). The FireTV operating system may take some time to get used to, and it can feel a bit sluggish at times. However, the setup process is easy, and once content is playing, things are smooth. The voice-activated remote is a neat feature that allows you to control smart home devices using the TV. You can even use AirPlay with it and that worked really well. While all of that works well, I prefer to use it with an Apple TV and it works flawlessly with that. The combination of features and value make this a must see.

Good 4K/audio but software occasionally sluggish
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A few years ago, I would have never taken a second look at a Hisense TV, thinking they wouldn’t come close to the ‘big name’ players in the TV world. However, I now own three (2 at 75” and this particular model at 55”). Hisense has become my go-to brand and I recommend them to everyone. With this model, the QD6, it is still a good 4K TV but it does have a few flaws with the software. I usually love Fire TVsoftware, but it does seem to lag a bit when selecting items or going to menus. I never have that when I use a ‘standalone’ HDMI Fire stick. However, with the Fire TV built in, it is easy to switch from over-the-air to streaming apps easier than the plug-in version. With regards to the actual TV picture quality and sound, I have no issue. I tested out a few shows and compared the quality/sound with my other Hisense TVs (one with a soundbar and the other without). Obviously, it always benefits having a soundbar, but the QD6 does have a good sound for its location (child’s bedroom). The 4K is vibrant also and I have no issue with the backlighting.

A Great 4K UHD QLED Fire TV Option From Hisense
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hisense has a new TV in their QD6 line. The 55” QD6 QLED 4K UHD Fire TV. This TV runs the Fire TV OS. It’s the same as a Fire Stick 4K or 4K Max. It’s familiar to me as I have Fire Stick 4K Maxes connected to my other TVs. Navigating the Fire TV OS is very straightforward and it’s easy to find what I’m looking for. Setup It took 15 minutes to set up. I used my phone to associate the TV with my Amazon account. This is an option you get during setup. I applied settings from one of my Fire Stick 4K Max devices. The settings seemed to take. I downloaded apps and updates. This took a while but eventually finished and restarted the TV. It also updated my remote which took less than a minute. The remote is similar to my Fire Stick 4K Max remotes. There is no learning curve with the remote as Amazon/Hisense have simplified it to the point anyone can just pick it up and start using it. The remote updated without issue. It takes longer than expected to update the TV OS. The TV was near my WiFi router, so signal wasn't an issue nor was bandwidth given that I have a 1Gb/s connection. Once it did complete the update, the TV rebooted. The update was successful and no issues were encountered. After setup and applying my settings from my Fire Stick 4k Max, my content was available for me to select and watch. I selected a movie to watch and it streamed as I would expect it to. Apps were available to use such as YouTube, Paramount+, STARZ, etc. as they are on my Fire Stick device. Image Color/Quality Initially, colors weren’t always correct with FHD Movies. It's was a little too saturated at times. Specifically with skin tones. As it turns out, this ended up being corrected. An additional update needed to be applied. After that, it was displaying colors correctly in FHD movies. The upscaling capability of the QD6 is helpful in making FHD movies look much better. 4K UHD movies look really good on it and the colors are as they should be. No complaints at all with the 4K UHD capability of the QD6. The picture is sharp and the colors are vibrant. Sound I think the built-in speakers are reasonable. There is a good range of Bass and Treble to set as well as sound profiles (movie, sports, etc.). I can dial up or down either to my preference. If I want theatre like sound experience, then I go to my sound bar and sub. As with the fire-tick 4k Max, I can wirelessly connect my sound bar and sub to the Fire TV. Final Thoughts I don't have to buy another Fire stick 4k for it which is a plus. That saves me around $40. Also, it's one less thing I have to plug into power and keeps my HDMI ports available for other things. The QD6 UHD 4K Fire TV is a good all around 4K UHD TV. It's light for a TV of this size (55”), clear, sharp, upscales FHD content, and has good vibrant colors. The QD6 Fire TV is a good option from Hisense. I like what they have done with it. It’s much more responsive than my other Hisense TV which shows that Hisense is updating their TVs with faster components. I would recommend the QD6 to anyone who is on a budget and is either already in the Amazon Fire ecosystem or wants to jump into it.

GREAT HISENSE T.V.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So this 55" T.V. shipped quickly and arrival was quick. It showed up with the box beat up and battered but the television inside was completely unscathed. Set up was fast and easy. So you get exactly what you pay for in life as they say and televisions are not exempt from that rule. So although very reasonably priced, it does have its problems: firstly the sound quality is not that good and at times on certain stations it sounds like there is actually something wrong with the speakers so I have to change the channel and then go back to the original channel to make it sound acceptable again. Picture is sharp but BLACK is not so good. This might get better as time goes by as we use this television because it supposedly has learning AL color enhancement but as for presently black nighttime scenes on tv shows are just washed out, which is a shame since we have a 80" T.V. with perfect unwashed out Blacks & Browns. We briefly tried the Game Mode and it certainly does increase playability and decrease lag time in playing video games on this television. All in all this is a great television & size for the money and we would recommend it to our friends and family.

Beautiful and sharp “budget” TV
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Received this Hisense 55” TV a little over a week ago. Very nice! I have multiple 4K TVs of various brands and sizes in our house and this one so far is just as good as the others. First, I was surprised how light it was for its size (lighter than some of my 55” TVs). I only have one other 4K TV that has Amazon FireTV built-in, and this one was noticeably faster within the apps and menus. Regarding the display and screen performance, I am quite happy. Really, out of the box I thought it was pretty well set for the lighting in my room and space. After the system updates app downloads to test out, YouTube TV looked perfect and fluid on all channels. Amazon Prime, Netflix and Max as well. Plenty of HDMI connections for game systems or other streaming devices and Blu-Ray player. My least favorite thing I guess is the remote, I do prefer the Roku style more than the FireTV, but this one is similar to the other in the house so not a big surprise or problem. Great value for this right-sized TV and I look forward to using it for years!

Good Budget QLED
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV was very easy to set up. Hisense Has come a long way. Still, this is not a OLED TV. The difference being QLED concentraits on brightness and color while OLED concentraits on deeper blacks and and higher contrasting. I noticed when viewing at a approximate 30 degree angle the colors do become washed out. While viewing within front viewing they were fine. After awhile of using this TV I really did not think about it as much as I was intrigued by it operation. This TV is very responsive when switching apps. It also turns on quickly. Every press of the buttons on the remote had immediate results. There was no lag time at all so I did enjoy how quick every thing worked and it suprised me especially at this price point. HDMI ports and connections worked well. I like the size of the remote, very easy to hold and use!! The unpacking was also a great experience as they had coveres on the sides of the TV for easy handling and protection during the unboxing. Over All I would definitly recommend this TV if you keeping to a budget but want a great experience.

Average TV but decent.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an average Picture quality TV. It is an upgrade over a base model TV that we replaced, which was seven years old and not stellar quality either. So the bar was set pretty low with this TV. The TV itself is much lighter and the picture quality and display are better than the older TV. The initial set up was annoying and took a very long time for it to boot up for the first time and then required an update that added more time. I’m familiar with fire TV, which is built in and we use it on several other TVs although it’s not my favorite web interface and leaves much to be desired. However, it was useful already having fire TV, and I simply logged into my account.. You do have to download all the apps from your profile to the current TV And sign into each app . Movies and picture quality are OK. Definitely above average from our prior model, but not come close to the level of picture quality that I’m used to with an OLED and a better quality miniLED in our family room. We are mostly using this TV for gaming with a PlayStation five and we do think the gaming and picture quality is better than the older TV. I played around with some of the TV settings to boost brightness and it does help, although you cannot tweak the menu settings much and dial it in like you can with more expensive TVs. The audio that’s built in is not great like most other TVs, but we’re using a sound system with it anyway. All in all it’s a decent display but I wouldn’t expect it to rock your world. I can’t really recommend for or against it. It just depends on what your expectations are and your price budget.
