Now the tv is stuck on the remote pairing screen and will do nothing. The tv just keeps showing the remote and counts down I 2 3. Cannot use the tv now. Worked great until I hit reset in settings. Hisense is working on it but don’t have a lot of faith in their support as I have already been on with them for hours. I still have 7 months left on the warranty but neither Best Buy or Hisense want to cover it. So now I have a tv sitting on my floor that won't work and is collecting dust.

Used as a PC monitor. Not good.

Mind, it could just have been the panel I reviewed but the overshoot is extremely bad, which is very irritating on the eyes. Also, I know gaming in 60 fps is not a smooth experience by default but this tv makes it seemingly worse. I chose the TU7000 by Samsung over this TV and I am very happy with my decision. If you’re looking to use this TV as a Pc monitor I would not recemmend!

Nice 4K smart TV
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Physical set up was easy. The legs were easy to attach with the included screws. The TV has lots of ports (4 HDMI) to hook up gaming consoles, DVD players, and other devices. Connecting to my wifi did not go so well though, it would spin on the “connecting” page and then minutes later give a message that it was unable to connect. After rechecking my network password and moving my router to different locations I got the same results. Then, I decided to just select the option to continue without setting up the wifi, and saw that it defaults to “in store” mode and I changed it to “home” mode and suddenly the TV was connected to my wifi without any more fuss. So, if you have correctly entered your network ID and password and it is still not connecting to your wifi, I would recommend just skipping passed the network set up and see if that fixes it for you too. This is an Android OS smart TV and I was pleasantly surprised to find that you don’t need to have a Google account to actually use the TV, as other brands seem to require that you create an account just to set up the TV. I do already have a Google account though, and that makes setting up the Google Play app and using the YouTube app quick and easy. The TV gives you access to a large number of apps via the Google Play Store. Where you can get your video streaming apps and much more, including web browsers, music streaming apps, and even some games. The 4K picture looks great and the 55 inch size is plenty big for us. I’ve noticed that my gaming consoles especially look great with really vivid colors. Sometimes streaming content is pretty fuzzy when it starts, while it is buffering, but that may just be my wifi, your mileage may vary. The remote has quick link buttons to a few common streaming channels such as Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, and Peacock which are nice shortcuts. It is nice that the remote has number keys so that you can enter the channel number to go directly to the channel you want rather than having to scroll through all of the channels to get to the one you want when watching live TV. The Android home page interface has been updated since I first got the TV, which was a big improvement to the layout and interface making selecting and switching between different channels and devices much better. The home page also features quick previews to content from streaming channels, for example you can easily continue episodes of series that you have been streaming directly from the home page instead of going into the separate streaming apps themselves. Overall, I’m quite pleased with this 4K TV, it has been a real upgrade from our previous smaller TV.

Piece of crap.

I did not consider storage space when I did my research. This set has a measly 4.3 GB of space. So within no time at all, I had no space left. So I attached an external 2 TB HD to the stupid thing and all the TV did was format the HD and from that point tells me the HD is "safely ejected." In other words, it won't accept the HD (my third attempt at attaching external storage, by the way) and I'm still getting "not enough space." Now I can't add apps because I only have 1 GB in internal storage. Apps I have won't work because there isn't "enough space." I'm definitely getting old. I wouldn't have failed like this a few years ago. Don't buy this TV. It's a piece of crap. Worse, it's an Android TV so it's forcing me to keep certain apps I don't give a darn about. So I can't have Disney+ and HBOMax, but — oh goody — I have to keep YouTube Kids, YouTube Music, and YouTube Crapathon. If you're looking for a TV, skip this one. For the price, it's not worth a darm.

Horrible ghosting, poor color, not recommended

I regret this and will be returning this television today. The largest issue is the insane amount of ghosting on this panel. It genuinely reminds me of a 90s-era laptop LCD - it's that bad. It's so bad that you notice it just scrolling through the menus, and it's even more apparent if you're using the television display as a computer monitor/display. I was hoping that it perhaps wouldn't be as noticeable when watching tv shows or movies but it's still obviously present. In addition to the huge issue of ghosting, the color palette on this television is just poor. Colors are muted and lacking. This is the worst TV I have ever purchased. I have two 10+ year old budget sets in my house that have much better image quality than this. If you care about image quality in your televisions at all, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

DO NOT BUY!!! Picture failing in first three weeks

The TV has to be reset multiple times before the screen corrects itself. The problem first appeared about 10 days ago. I am passed the return window at Best Buy. I didn't realize they have a 14 or 15 day return policy, otherwise I would have have spent my money elsewhere. I will not make a major purchase at Best Buy ever again. Obviously afraid to stand behind their sales. I have a feeling Hisense is going to be difficult to work with on the warranty from what I've read in other reviews. Shame on me for not checking the return window ahead of time and shame on Best Buy for their weak return window.
