I thought the 55 would be a good option for our kids play area, but the panel I got is horribly washed out. I tried tuning the picture settings, which seem to be more limited than the android TV version, but it didn't make too much difference. Dark scenes looked okay at best, but bright scenes were lack luster, having horrible color and contrast. I tried different items (movies, nature shows, etc) and was unimpressed. Our 5 year old TCL 4 series looks better than this TV. Maybe I just got a bad panel, but I don't think I'm willing to try another one.

Unfortunate Experience with This Product

I had come across several positive reviews about this product. However, as soon as I finished setting up the initial settings of the television, it suddenly turned off and I couldn't get it to turn back on. I'm unsure if it got corrupted during the update or if it was simply a defective unit from the start. Unfortunately, I don't have any more insights to offer regarding this product.

Great tv if you are upgrading from black and white

I bought what I thought was a tv on sale it was a scratched up used tv that had been stuffed back in the box. It had been at someone’s wall. The picture is worse than the old Samsung I’m replacing. After a half hour of going through the Roku and telling my gender and life story I finally logged into Netflix and the picture was less than sub par. That and the fact that it smelled like it was burning I will never buy another Hisense again. I would return it but I have to have this project finished tomorrow.

Great TV for the price point

Bought a 65” last year and was pleased with its performance at its price. So this year got the 55” with Roku built in for the bedroom. No issues so far
