The mosquito noise is unbearable

The sound is emitting from the vents and HDMI ports on the back. The sound gets louder and is directly proportional with the backlight. The brighter the screen, the louder it is. Setting the backlignt to "0" causes the noise to disappear. I thought I could ignore the noise but it's unbearable. The extremely high pitch goes straight to your eardrum. I got a replacement unit and it was only slightly quieter. Maybe if you are older you can't hear it. I'm exchanging it for TCL 6-series which is hopefully silent

Would be awesome if not for image issues.

Random lagging when streaming, and my Dolby Atmos system cuts out randomly which was never an issue with my LG tv.

Hisense U7G tv

The screen was broken showing rainbow colors when I plugged it in. It wasn’t even cracked or anything so I didn’t notice it when I first opened it. I do suggest this tv but The delivery drivers need to handle the products more carefully. This also could of been a manufacturing problem. Either way I Hope when they deliver the second one it won’t be broken. I would suggest just getting a TV at the store.I heard nothing but good reviews

Garbage TV

After about a month it wouldn't recognize any ports, not the HDMI not the EARC. Now after 3 months, we turned it off after watching Netflix and it refuses to turn on. Don't waste your money.

Affordable quality for all and features for gamers
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hisense continues to introduce feature rich, decent quality televisions at prices that are much more accessible than some of the premier brands. The new U7G line is designed with gamers in mind – with HDMI 2.1 inputs, this TV can support 120fps 4K and adaptive frame rates from the newest gaming consoles. It also features support for the current HDR standards, and has a 1000nit peak brightness with local dimming. Setting up the TV is a straightforward affair, as an Android TV, it is easy and intuitive to use. One interesting thing, when I was setting up my Harmony remote, Logitech didn’t have a profile yet for the U7G. I used the profile for last year’s H9G and it works fine to get to menus, change inputs, etc, so the IR codes are close enough or exactly the same. The TV has a LOT of protective wraps and stickers on it, which isn’t a bad thing as it was well protected, it just took a bit to find all of the edges and get it all unpacked and set up. The TV has a minimalist design with a thin black bezel covered by the screen glass on 3 sides, and a thin metal strip along the bottom. One note, and Hisense is really clear on this, you have to be careful putting pressure on the screen edges during installation. If on an articulated mount, use the sides of the set to adjust, and don’t push directly on the screen. Picture quality on this set is really good. For the price point, it’s hard to beat. The high peak brightness means all content really pops, but HDR content is on another level. High brightness is as important to HDR as color depth, and this TV can handle both parts of HDR. This TV has fewer local dimming zones than the 8 or 9 series from Hisense, but on a 55” panel, there isn’t a lot of bleed between the zones, and overall I thought it did a good job in high contrast scenes. Gaming performance is really good. Minimal input lag and 120 FPS and adaptive frame rates really let you take advantage of the Xbox Series X or PS5 consoles, or a PC with an HDMI 2.1 output. I still find it strange and rather annoying that TVs don’t have a DisplayPort for connecting gaming PCs, especially TVs that are advertised to gamers. You’ll have to have a PC with an HDMI 2.1 port or use a gaming console to really push the features of this TV to the limits. This TV also features automatic low latency mode when a game starts up, which is handy so you don’t have to manually switch modes. Overall, this is a great TV for all uses that won’t break the bank, and for gamers, offers both great image quality and high frame rates in 4K.

beware

Small brand, big quality

It’s got a nice, crisp and colorful 4K display with all the HDR and audio options the average tv-watcher could want. The Android operating system is actually pretty nice, but it’s no Roku. But where the tv is really supposed to excel is in gaming, specifically with the newest generation of consoles, the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. I was attracted to this particular model because of its proficiency in gaming. Two of its 4 HDMI inputs are HDMI 2.1 for low-latency and variable refresh rate gaming. Honestly, I don’t really know what that means and I really don’t see much difference from my old tv aside from vibrancy and clarity, which was worth it for me. I haven’t had much of an opportunity to play a lot of games on the tv just yet, but I can say that Death Stranding looks amazing! As for tv and movies, I was disappointed at first. Out of the box, the tv has a very strong soap opera effect, which I find off-putting. There was also quite a bit of motion blur during quick movements, which I felt was a sign of poor quality. This was all remedied after a couple of minutes of fiddling with picture settings. I was able to get the picture set to my liking, for the most part. I still occasionally get a strange brief stop-motion effect during some video content that I can’t quite figure out how to get rid of. So far, this issue only presents itself in the Prime Video app. So, maybe it’s just an issue with Prime or the fact that it’s being routed through a Roku device. Another setting I can’t quite get right is the screen’s brightness. It can be blindingly bright, particularly during commercials when the screen is filled with white or yellow. What’s further frustrating is that even though the screen is so bright, it is also pretty reflective. From my seat on the couch, our table lamp obscures nearly a quarter of the screen during dark scenes. The Android operating system is nice enough, but my family, in particular my in-laws, has grown accustomed to Roku. Luckily, this tv set has 4 HDMI ports, leaving enough room after the soundbar, PlayStation and Blu-Ray player, to add a Roku device. The only problem I have with the Android system is that it is not as customizable as Roku. There are apps that you cannot remove and rearranging the apps to your liking is a bit convoluted. One small detail I love about this tv is its cord management. The bottom 2 corners on that back of the screen each have a clip to help keep all your cords tidy. If you decide to put your tv on a stand instead of hanging it on the wall, each of the feet have additional clips. These will help guide your cords behind your tv stand so that they’re hidden and not just hanging haphazardly. All in all, I think the U7G is a great tv. It has some minor flaws, but the price and all its features more than make up for them. I’ve read some wishy washy things about Hisense as far as longevity. So, only time will tell if the quality holds up.

LiSync issues with Hisene

We returned one and got another exactly like it. Sound and words did not match. Spent hours on chat trying to calibrate, had our internet provider here and echanged box. NOthing o=worked.

This company that seems to come out of nowhere and honestly is the best television I have ever had. I love all the connections. That I can use my assistant etc. You literally don't even need a remote once you set it up. The colors are rich and beautiful. My nephew, the gamer in the family, says for the price he's never seen anything like it. I must say I'm not even comparing the price tags. As far as quality, this television has everything I could want. The price point is just the cherry on the top. This television has sort of brought my family together. We are actually all making popcorn and watching movies or gathering in to play games. It's the center of out home at the moment. I couldn't imagine a better television. I have had all brands of television and Hisense can definitely take on the big name companies and win as far as I'm concerned. If you are on the fence about the purchase of this TV then go for it. I promise you won't be disappointed.

I received this product for a discount in exchange for my honest opinion. So far its been good. Only watched a couple of shows last night. But I greatly enjoy it. The quality is much better than what I had previously, but I also have not tried it for gaming yet, and that is what I am most excited for. Ease of use is an 8. it easy to use if you're used to using tvs, but it could be easier. Photo is a 7, for right now as i've only watched some older (2012) tv shows. I received this product for a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.
