If you want this tv get the 65 inch it has a better processor than the 55 inch. The sound was the only good thing about this tv. The brightness would flicker with vrr on. The tv had a hard time with older content. Would not recommend.

Hisense U8N. Mixed feelings

I will say the picture and sound quality are very good. I was disappointed that there was not. The technology built in to play sound on both my digital output headphones and TV simultaneously. My 7 year old LG could do that. Also, I am still battling the Hisense automatically turning on randomly throughout the day- typically in the middle of the night.

The TV would not talk to any eARC soundbars, including a Hisense model. It also did not integrate correctly with standard ARC soundbars, but would at least play sound. The Google TV interface was very slow to respond and quickly became annoying. The limited ambient light adjustment made the display blindingly bright in a room that wasn't well lit. I know it's not an OLED display, but based on my experience in the store I was expecting the viewing angles to be a bit wider than my cheap LED panel TV...that was not the case. I returned the Hisense and picked up a Samsung for half the price that works as it should, and actually has better viewing angles than the Hisense. This was my first, and last, Hisense product.
