The 65hg8 is better but the 55 is still great! We went with the 55 just because of the shotgun still living room and the 65 just would have been too big for the distance we set. This is a great series for the value. We did a ton of research and glad we picked this one

Got this TV solely for next gen gaming. TV performs great. Runs 4k at 120fps with no issues. Local dimming is rather bloomy, and you have to do some menu setup to get everything working right for peak performance. But for the money it is great.

Overall love the TV but it keeps randomly shutting down. Sometimes an app loads and then it turns off or happens in the middle of a show. Restarting the tv, the wifi...etc only temporarily fixes the problem.

So far its been an imoressive upgrade. The nits it can put out canactually be overwhelming sometimes. Very smooth and balanced image. I havent gotten to test any gaming on it yet but im sure it handles it well.

For the money, one of the most impressive tv's that i've ever seen! The "wow factor" is down right incredible. Surpassed all my expectations even though I probably researched this to death and was still shocked. Even now, i find myself just shaking my head at how good it looks.

So far this TV has been great! Awesome for movies, Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision, and 120Hz at this price you can’t beat it! Unless you spend over a Grand!! Xbox Series X works amazing on this tv! Overall happy with my tv!

Competes well with similar panel TVs from bigger name brands and does it for much cheaper. Has everything you need including VRR. Would recommend adjusting the default picture quality settings (especially backlight brightness) - many guides online on how to do it.

I bought the 55U8G to use as a gaming pc monitor, and to stream Netflix, Amazon Prime Video. The picture quality and HDR were both very good for the price. It also has a lot of features normally not found in TVs at a comparable price point. However, this tv also had a lot of issues. The number of dimming zones was too low relative to the 65” version. It also had very bad dirty screen effect (DSE), with a dark spot in the middle of the screen, along with vertical and horizontal lines that could be seen on a full white or Gray screen. The tv also had severe color banding in dark scenes with a specular highlight, such as a flashlight. The U8G also had inverse ghosting (trailing whiteish blue-green lines) when playing games or watching content. Too, motion judder could be seen in slow panning shots when watching streaming apps. There was also noticeable haloing / blooming in dark scenes. Lastly, when in game mode, the dimming zones were turned off, and couldn’t be turned back on. At the time of I’m writing this, Hisense has released a firmware update, L0721, supposedly to fix the ghosting issue. But posters on Reddit and AVSforum are reporting that this update requires an additional update to actually fix the ghosting issue, and that one is supported by only the 65” version. By the way, a lot of those posters are complaining about promised fixes that never materialized for older models, as well as poor reliability. YouTube reviewers are giving the U8G glowing reviews, and comparing it favorably to the Samsung flagship 4K QN90A. However, most of them have received cherry-picked TVs from Hisense (ie, they didn’t buy them), or they reviewed the 65” version. And asking Hisense Customer Support on Best Buy’s site about these issues gets only vague, non-answers. Needless to say, I returned it to Best Buy. It could’ve been a great product, had Hisense practiced better quality control, and put more dimming zones in the 55”.

This tv is phenomenal sound and picture quality is honestly oled level YEAP oled buy this tv and thank me later this is one of the greatest tvs I’ve ever own and the games look mind blowing

Awesome set. Like any tv, your could get a bad one so check it well. But what you'll eventually have is a great tv with awesome gaming features fire a great price. I also have a competing "major brand" set that costs much more, and this is better. Especially for Xbox gamers.

This is a great television the color is outstanding how to adjust the settings but other than that I am very happy

Bought this TV for my son to use primarily with his Xbox. It’s a great TV extremely fast refresh rate which is what is preferred by gamers. Delivery agent was great provided first class service.

Absolutely immaculate. I don’t know a lot about TVs but I got it to run my Xbox Series X and it’s beautiful. Settings could be a little more clear as to where to find what I’m looking for at times but I otherwise have 0 complaints.

The Hisense U8G is a great TV, very crisp picture and easy to use interface and remote control. I am very happy with this purchase and the drive up pick up was a smooth breeze waited no longer then 3-4 minute from pick up loading!

Very nice bright tv, would give it 5 stars but any color on black halos quite a bit. That being my only gripe everything else is great! Would give it a 4.8 if possible but 4 will have to do

Navigation through the system was nice and easy. Product arrived on time and as described. I would recommend the product (Hisense 55 inch U8G) to my "closest" friends! Overall a very smooth and professional experience.

Great TV. Sound could use some work but the picture is amazing. We will be getting a sound bar to help with the overall quality. We are super happy with it though.

Does have ghosting issues while playing ps5 like another review mentioned. Otherwise good tv. Also don't know how or why but the model number in the back mentions U6 and not U8!. Weird ! But the design is U8(legs match).

Great TV. Crisp brights and good blacks. Smart hub is easy to navigate. Very surprised by how good the built in speakers are. 4k movies are good, gaming is solid, and design is sleek.

Absolutely brilliant picture and sound quality. This is my third Hisense tv, but this is the best one as the others are 4 years old and technology just keeps getting better every day.
