Good love the tv . Quality of the screen is bright and clear

This TV has turned out to be simply awesome for the price. I'm really glad I opted for a mid-tier set this time. Mostly I watch movies in a bright to semi-dark room and just set the picture to Filmmaker mode and everything is fantastic. I don't think you can go wrong with this TV.

So far so good the picture is very good its bright enough.

Had to get this quick as my tv at the time just stopped working. Glad we chose this one. Great picture and sound. Able to hear voices clearly, good bass... no need for sound bar with this. No light leakage, great contrast. Overall much better than expected.

Well worth the money for the price i would recommend

I was looking for a new TV and i did a lot of research and this the best TV for the size and price range. So far I’m really happy with my TV. Everything is as it was in most reviews I have read very bright and amazing picture quality. I would highly recommend this if you are looking for something nice that doesn’t break your bank.

Beautiful tv . Slim . Incredible image best quality

I have had this TV for a little more than a week and I am definitely happy with my purchase so far. I have the h9g (2019 model) and I loved the picture quality of that TV. The h9g is a little buggy with the software and connection from time to time. The U8g picture is even better and the operating system runs so much smoother. Great value!

The picture quality of this TV is great, especially for the price! I am happy with my purchase and personally believe this is one of the best options in it's price range! The sound of the TV speakers is surprisingly good as well. I highly recommend this TV if you are looking for a good TV in this price range!

Beautiful picture and it seemed to work very well after bypassing all of the "smart" stuff. I use over the air (OTA) TV reception, and I get 65 channels, but I scanned them in then I searched desperately for the "guide". We MUST have a "TV guide" right? There was no programming guide. I called Hisense and they said there's no guide for OTA channels. Now, I guess there was no way for the salesperson to know that nor for me to know that but REALLY??!!! Do they expect us to all have cable? Do they expect us to surf through 65 or more channels to see what's on and, even then, how will we know what's on later?!! Having no guide is like not having a channel indicator or the "info" bar. I'm so done with these "smart TVs"...

Really spectacular picture quality with this television. Setup is straightforward and the build quality seems really nice. I bought this to run PS5 games at high resolution and the beauty of next-gen games on this set is something to behold. No regrets about purchasing this television.

I settled on this model after quite an extensive research. I must say I’m not disappointed at all. Clear, bright, beautiful picture. Software interface okay (coming from Google Chromecast and Amazon Fire TV Stick).

The display is amazing, color is amazing, brightness is the highest in the market. So why the one star?! Buyers be warned! This is a cheap TV, so be ready for cheap/poor customer support. Also, there is serious quality control issue. This is my 3rd Hisense tv replacement. First one was U6G which had washed out display with HDR turned on. Returned that, bought U8G. The U8G had multiple DSE (dirty screen effect). Returned that one and got another one from the store. The 3rd one has DSE too (horizontal and vertical rows in the middle screen) but not much noticeable as the previous one. The DSE in the 3rd one only noticeable when I open a MS Word file or do DSE testing through YouTube. So decided to keep this. After all, you wont get VRR, HDR10+, 4k@120Hz, local dimming (132 zones), infinite contrast and excellent colors at 700$ in this market. So I decided with to live with the flaw I am going to explain next. Now, I am a PC gamer and after buying this TV, I found that it does not support 4K 120Hz with HDR turned on. As soon as I turn on HDR in Windows display settings, TV forces back to 1920x1080 resolution. Then I googled and found tons of people complaining in reddit and the customer support putting their usual blind eye about the issue. This is false advertising! Hisense claims this is a 120Hz panel and can support VRR, HDR and 4k all at once with FreeSync turned on, which it does not (so far). I tried calling customer care and managed to get to a Tier 2 engineer after multiple attempt, but he kept me sending same M0210 firmware update that does not solve/address this issue. When I let the customer support know about their firmware upgrade not fixing the issue, the Tier 2 engineer became totally non-responsive. Some youtubers are claiming of an M0422 firmware update solving all the issues this TV has. Will wait for the OTA upgrade since customer support is of no help at this moment! In short, you will get what you pay for.

For the past 30 years I have been buying Sony brand TV's. But, after reading many reviews, I'm so happy I decided to buy the Hisense 55 inch U8G. The picture is so clear and bright that you want to jump into the scene! I also added the Hisense 200W sound to complete my movie watching experience.

This TV is excellent for the price, it holds its own with TV’s twice the price. In my opinion it is the best sub-$2,000 kit you can buy right now. It’s contrast rivals OLED, while being much brighter allowing for truly lifelike fire to come off the screen.

Fantastic TV for the money. I only wish I sprang for the 65 inch.

The U8G series is top notch for a mid priced TV. I traded out this excellent 55" model for a larger Hisense model (less expensive 65") that didn't match the U8G performance. The U8G series definitely has the WOW FACTORs and is the premium model for 2021, whereas the lesser Hisense models did not impress as favorably.

Hisense continues to make some of the most impressive tv's that I have seen. We purchased the 65" after doing quite a bit of research over the last couple of years. We were so happy with the 65" we purchased the 55" to go along with it. Absolutely incredible tv's, the picture will blow you away.

I've only had this TV for maybe 3 days but so far it's great. I have the 2021 TCL 6 series as well to compare it to and this one has Variable Refresh Rate. It's brightness, color accuracy, and contrast are all great. I think this is the best TV you can get without spending twice as much for an OLED.
