This TV had my family excited. It was beautiful and the sound was great. Bragged to everyone about how Hisense was up and coming. However here it is a year and a half later and the TV has a black screen only with sound. That means the main board or backlights. So now I will have to get a LG Samsung or any TV that just is better. Sad because I liked this TV a lot but Hisense just not goodm

Review Compared to other TVs in this Price Range

My review is a 5 star because I am reviewing it compared to other TVs in this range. It is not a 5 star due to being a perfect television or near perfect. You would need to spend a couple thousand for that.
First things first. The quirks. There is clouding on a completely black screen. As you power it up you can see it. However when watching movies with a nearly completely black screen it is either not noticeable at all or barely noticeable depending on the content.
The built in apps stream 4k but not 4k hdr. This will require a firmware update down the road. It does however upscale well and if you play a 4k HDR video from the built in apps it still looks very impressive.
The power cable may be inconveniently placed for some mounts. Its right smack in the middle of the TV. Not a problem with my style of mount however.
The legs are 47" apart and are very long. It will require a rather long entertainment stand if it isn't mounted. I would suggest something 52" or larger to give a little bit of space on each side.
There is slight judder present depending on content. I am sensitive to Judder and it doesn't really bother me. Most people won't see it but if you are sensitive to Judder its worth noting. Again doesn't bother me much.
Now on to the pros
Sound - This TV has the best built in speakers of any TV I have ever owned, it also has a lot of customization available to you to adjust the sound.
4k Picture - 10. It is crisp and clear
Brightness - 10. The TV gets bright enough to cast light across my entire basement.
1080 Picture - 9. It looks really good, it can be a bit soft on certain content.
720 Picture - 9. Same as above
480 Picture - Looks just as awful as it does on any HD TV I have owned. First world problems but if I am being objective its a 9.
BLU RAY - I have played a hand ful of blu ray discs, picture looks gorgeous 90% of the time it is judder free.
Video Games - 8.5 - There is little to no lag. I have another TV that is well known for being nearly lag free and its very difficult for me to tell the difference. There is slightly more lag when HDR games are being played on multiplayer but worth the hit for the visuals IMO.
HDR - This is something that is difficult for me to compare but again comparing this TV to others in it's price class I would give it a 10. It passes all tests on my xbox one s for HDR 10 Bit. If I compare it to my OLED Laptop its obvious that OLED HDR is the cream of the crop but its not so different that I think its "fake" hdr. Again best in its class.
Take the time to adjust and calibrate this TV. The xbox one s has a menu to help you with this and get you in the right direction and it makes a huge difference.
I was able to get this tv for $760 after tax. A 65" HDR 4K TV for under $800. Even if it cost me $800 I would still feel as positively about this tv comparing it to others in its class. This is not a ks8000 series or similar, it is not an OLED tv and thus unfair to compare them. I can say this, I was going to buy the ks8000 and decided to get this instead because comparing cost and value this TV was half the cost and not much of a step down across all area's that mattered to me.

I Picked this set up 02/17/2017. Set up was quick and easy. Registered the set during set up to get the extra 2 years on the warranty to make it 4 years. Played with the settings all week end when I was watching it. Had a very good picture out of the box. Watched some of the 4K clips in one of the built in apps. One was a nature clip. It literally felt like you were standing at the side of the stream watching the water flow. Incredible detail. You could clearly see all the rocks at the bottom. Color is excellent. Beautifull detail in the color. Upscaling of the standard 1080 from Fios is done very well. No motion blur while watching sports. Watched a Bruins game with no motion blur. Ice looked beautifull. Cannot justify spending twice as much as this set to get little to not much difference in picture quality. Was looking at the Samsung KS8000. Glad I waited and came across this model. I would have spent way to much for not much if any difference in picture quality.

Had 4K tv less than a year. Pop ups when you turn it on for firmware update. Then it downloads to 48% and fails. Call Hisense 4 times and were to send email to download to flash and install. Twice they canceled the order and didn’t send still waiting on final email..will not buy from them again.. P.S. TV takes long time to start up and Bluetooth stinks..

Best TV No one knows about

Bought this TV a week ago after reading about Hisense. The 4k picture quality of this set rivals those costing twice as much, These TV'S aren't even on display in most Best Buy stores. If they were, Samsung and Vizio would be losing sales. Hisense is the number one selling set in Asia and is trying to get a foothold in the US. It also comes with a four year warranty including in home repair. Hopefully this won't be needed but it is an added bonus. With high dynamic range HDR10 and wide color gamut this unit gives Vizio M series a run for its money for way less dough. So far I feel like I got a steal of a deal. You won't be disappointed in this set!

After debating between 3 different 65" tvs(Samsung ks8000-Vizio M series and Sony xbr850) I figured I would try this out when it was on sale for $750(plus extra $25 off with visa check out) since it would be nearly half the price of the three I was looking at and if I didn't like it I would return it since it was not and still is not on display at any of the several Best Buy's close to me and get one of the others. Needless to say it will be staying in my home for the forseable future until OLED tvs in the 65-70" range drop to a reasonable price.
Upscaling on this is superb & just as good if not better then some high end tvs, 4K content is amazing once you calibrate it especially.
The main problem I keep seeing in reviews is black uniformity but I think this a bit of a panel lottery situation as mine is very good.
The sound is actually very good on this compared to most other tvs on the market right now from what I can tell from testing others out in Best Buy.
For the price even at 899$ there is no tv on the market that can come close to this set. The 4 year in home warranty by Hisense is just a cherry on top of this tv.

Big 4K for the price. However, you get what you pay for. After only one year, it has a line of dead pixles. I won't buy this brand again.

I purchased a TCL 65 inch TV on 7/23/2018 & it was canceled on 8/1/18 because it wasn't in stock. On 8/3/18 a Hisense 65 inch TV was delivered. 6/13/21 a line showed up on the left side of the screen which made the rest of the picture tooo dark, needless to say Geek Squad came out to repair it. The TV should have lasted longer than this. I will never purchase another one.

I planned on getting the 55" version of this TV after seeing multiple reviews online (rtings is a really good source for TV info). It's quality is the same or better than TV's that are much more expensive. When I saw the 65", I decided to just give it a go.
Pros:
-The 4K looks great
-No ads
-HDR looks decent
-Smart TV functions work well
-Color is accurate with little tweaking
-4K upscaling for 1080p or lower content works REALLY well
-Got it for 750 (675 after My Bestbuy rewards) when the next cheapest option around the same quality is $1100. This is the absolute best value on a TV this size.
Cons:
-Legs are a bit scary. I ended up mounting it on the wall
-Light-bleed is very noticeable when the screen is black. This is the reason I gave it 4 stars. I knew it would probably be the case based off of the few reviews available on the internet. I wish I could give it 4.5/5 because this isn't a big issue when the screen isn't black.
-Local dimming is not effective. The Edge-lit local dimming dims the whole back light at once, not by zone. Not a deal breaker, though.

Best 4k TV for the price

I picked this tv up when it was on sale for $799. It has a 10 bit panel, HDR and an outstanding picture. Color pops! I have no light bleed whatsoever. It blows the competition out of the water in this price range and the next tier pricing also. You will have to spend double this price + to get to the tvs that can edge it out. Best bang for you buck! And the kicker. A 4 year parts and labor in home service warranty comes free from Hisense with this tv. Sold!
