What a great 4k hdr tv!

First and first, this tv has shown me its power that how clear the image it produces with hdr feature than my 2015 LG 4k model 65uf8500 which I bought for about $1800 price with great features except hdr. I play ps4 pro games and recently playing Horizon zero dawn. The game looks fantastic on this tv with crisp colours. Tv has nice features with everything we need. I would go for this tv other than high end tv such as ks8000. I tried that model too but hisense 65h8c produces same picture with no difference at all. I compared the images amomg all tvs recently and this hisense product is awesome.

    Beautiful TV and Great Price!

I got this TV on the Best Buy President's Day sale for only $750 ($813 with tax). I went to the store only intending to buy the 55in Hisense tv and told myself not to talk myself into buying the bigger one. But I saw the 65in box right next to the 55in box and couldn't pass it up. I'm sure this is intentional on BBs part. Needless to say it's the best impulse buy I've had in years. My only "con" so far with this tv is that I didn't plan ahead for it and had no table big enough to fit this huge TV! I have to use my coffee table in the meantime while I wait for my tv stand to arrive. For the curious, the distance between the very outer points of the legs/stands is ~48inches. So a table slightly longer than 48in will fit the TV. And YES, this TV supports the PS4 Pro's HDR capability. It even says in the description that this TV has HDR. I have both a PS4 Pro and an Xbox One S that support 4k and this TV utilitzes both consoles 4k/HDR options. Games and streaming in 4k look amazing. I never thought the upgrade from a 1080p to 4k tv was really worth it. But after watching 4k content and playing 4k capable games, I'm having a hard time using my smaller 1080p tv. I'm sure there are picture quality differences between this "cheap" 4k tv and the much pricier Sony/etc options, but for this price, it's well worth it and the difference is probably negligible. Not enough for me to spend several hundred dollars more on, anyway. TL;DR - beautiful TV at a fantastic price

They remove apps like plex and when you ask support about it, they just say its no longer supported and there is nothing we can do. They will not help fix the issue or rectify the situation in any way. Not worth owning if you need support and they won't help.

I was skeptical on purchasing this TV at first because I wasn't too familiar with its brand. After researching, I found out that Hisense is one of the world's largest TV manufacturers, just not that popular here in the USA. 2 issues I have noticed is that there seems to be a good amount of light bleed/clouding on dark scenes. Unfortunately the only real solution is to upgrade to an OLED display which cost thousands more. The second issue I notice from time to time is that background still images judder. Not sure if it's due to its 60 hertz refresh rate or not. Some may not notice, but I do. On the plus side it has tons of features and a user friendly menu. Also, the free 4 year warranty through Hisense sealed the deal. Out the box, you get a 2 year warranty. If you register the TV (which I highly recommend), during the setup process or online through their website, you get an additional 2 years. Although 1080p content looks great, for this TV to really shine, you need to have a 4K source such as an X-Box One S, PS4 Pro (for 4K gaming), or 4K Blu-ray player to play 4K Blu-ray discs. You can however stream 4K videos through it's built in YouTube app, which looks phenomenal and life like. The built-in Netflix app looks good too! Just make sure your Netflix service is updated to stream 4K/UHD content. After researching, it seems HDR10 is not yet enable. A firmware update should solve this once it becomes available....hopefully soon in order to get the full effect!!! I would definitely recommend this TV. BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK!!

TV picture quality, check! TV sound quality (for a TV), check! 4K & HDR, check! Big As# 65" Screen, check! Dollar spent for value received, check! Four year P&L in home Warranty, double check!! I'm normally a "brand name buyer" but rolled the dice on this one. After owning & working with it over the past 10 days I'm thrilled with my decision. Most stores are not displaying this unit within the store. My personal thoughts are that if they did...it might murder the "big three" and they know it. Suggest you take some of your savings by selecting this TV and invest in a Harmony Remote, great combo if your A/V setup has multiple pieces of equipment.

After a couple months of researching and comparing models I decided at the last minute to purchase the Hisense 65 H8C, and I am EXTREMELY pleased with my purchase! This model is basically a hidden gem for the "informed consumer" that's looking for a particular set of features at the lowest possible price point. The 65 H8C probably compares most closely to the Vizio M Series and Samsung KU Series, but for hundreds of dollars less. I'm happy I took a chance with this model, and I'm looking forward to seeing what Hisense is bringing to the market in the future. This is a brand I'm on board with now.

    Great TV needs Calibrated.

This is a great TV 4k is great and the HDR is on par with my SUHD Samsung you really can't go wrong for $699. Biggest issue out of the box if used with an Xbox on is make sure you setting are correct if you select the wrong format Blacks with be horrible. Also use the Calibrater that xbox has it is a great tool. Regaurdless you'll need to calibrate console or not. If you set up properly picture is fantastic the default presets are not on par with the TV's picture quality. Also game mode has a solid enough Input lag but make sure you turn off the extras. Although I kept the dynamic contrast to medium best setting to my eyes. To be honest proper setup will need you to have a fair amount of patience but once again the price well worth the buy in. I've owned it now for around three month and no Issues I've been quite happy overall.

Picture: So beautiful, the picture on this tv blue me away. When watching netflix, amazon prime, other stuff, so nice. Even over the air stuff looks great. Price: Can't beat this price compared to others. Size: Great 65" size, and wasn't too heavy to hang on the wall. Plug in Locations: Not too bad, typical to most tvs. APPS: Here's a good one, the apps run very well on this tv, and are easy to navigate, big win here. Usually this is hit or miss. Remote: Has easy access to the apps, netflix, prime, youtube, and vudu, my fave 4 apps... Love it. BUY IT

    Best bang for the buck

First off, I'm not a tech guru I was looking for a 65" 4K tv that wouldn't break the bank (<$1200) Read reviews and found hisense was the biggest seller in Asia, and a 4 year warranty also helped tip the scale. Wife loves the upscaling for her black and white movies, I love the landscape scenes on shows like gold rush, very crisp and vivid. Only thing that I've noticed is that while watching cartoons with my grandson, there is a small lag at times on very colorful shows. Not sure if this is how cartoons are made or not. I never noticed this on our 50" Sony that's 5 years old. Tried the sanus full articulating wall mount on display at Best Buy and knew that was the winner, Bought a different model sanus at Walmart for way cheaper. Afterr watching the tv for one week I'd give it 4.5 stars but since the ratings don't allow halves, It gets on 4 on the record.

Initially purchased a Samsung but returned becuase of picture quality and poor performance with fast motion sports. Hisense's goal is to be the number 3 TV supplier in North America. They may manufacture this model in Mexico at the sharp plant they acquired? This TV performs at mid tier Sony, Samsung, and Vizio level. I can only think that they are selling this at 899 to buy market share, It's truly a great value.

This is a very affordable UHD TV with HDR10. Picture quality, viewing angles and features are all solid. Biggest negative is the light bleed in when the screen is perfectly dark, but this tends to be a fairly common issue with all but the higher end models that cost much more. Works really well with XBox One S running UHD Blu Ray and up-scaling regular Blu Ray.

    Excellent Picture - Great Price

I was hesitant in buying a Hisense, having happily owned a 65" Samsung for years. Two things pushed me to gamble. My son-in-law had recently purchased a Hisense and loved it. And the posted replies from Hisense customer service here at Best Buy instilled confidence. I looked at Samsung, Sony, and Hisense at the Fort Worth store. (The BB salesman Kenneth was very helpful in matching what I needed to the various sets). I finally decided the difference in pictures was not worth the $500-$1000 difference in price. Set up was a breeze. The picture is wonderful (though some lower res stations show flaws more than my old (lower res) Samsung). Watching the Olympics on NBC in 4K is nothing short of dazzling. Even the view from my computer disk -- at about a 60% angle -- is very good (though slightly washed). I also bought a Samsung Sound Bar/Subwoofer and let go of my 25 year old hugh towers. Great sound. Best Buy is the best. Want a dazzling 4K picture for less? Hisense.

    Decent but has it's problems

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This is a decent TV for the price. Colors and blacks are generally good, and better than on similarly priced 1080P TVs from 2 or more years ago. Response is good, motion control works well. The main problem plaguing this line seems to be screen uniformity. Looking at pure black backgrounds, it's likely you will notice lighter and grey areas on the edges and splotches around the screen. Calibration and adjustment does help somewhat, but not completely. You can pay hundreds more for an overall better TV with similar specs, but you'll be hard pressed to find one at this price point currently. I'm mostly satisfied with this purchase. The 4 year warranty sold it for me, since in a few years even better screens will be available at similar prices, and it will be time to upgrade once again.

Really nice, but where is HDR?

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Great picture. Really nice for the price. But, I must have an older firmware because my Xbox One S says its not reading the HDR signal. Here's the steps I've taken: -Xbox One S is plugged into the input 3. -in the settings I've chosen HDMI 2.0 Enhanced. -Xbox set to "show 4k" But the check to 4k screen on Xbox says its not HDR available for gaming. I've seen videos on Youtube that shows a different menu system than mine (theirs slides in from the left side of the screen), my menu is tiles in the middle of the screen. Also, when the they connect to the internet, it gave them the option to register for the warranty right on the TV. No such feature on my. The Hisense website says there's no firmware for the 65h8c. Help my Hisense, you're my only hope!

Attention everyone. I purchased the Hisense 65H8C from Best Buy in April of this year. I bought this TV because it was advertised to provide 4k and HDR at a very affordable price. To this day, I have not been able to verify whether or not this TV actually has the ability to play 4k HDR because NONE of the apps show in 4k and there is nothing in the menus that even mentions 4k HDR. And here is the real kicker. Soon after the 65H8C came out, Hisense released a 65H8C+ which is the exact same tv, but actually has menu options for 4k HDR. Now I ask you, how fair is this?! I have since contacted Hisense on several occasions, only to be told that "an update is coming soon that should enable HDR". Huh? Shouldn't this TV have apps such as Netflix and Amazon that already show HDR? I am SO disappointed with my purchase and I am angry because there is nothing I can do about it. Best Buy wont refund my money. For budget 4k HDR i highly recommend a different brand such as TCL. They have a very good record of responding to customers and their TV's actually do what the box says it will do. I am SO very disappointed in Hisense. Never again!
