After only 4 months I started having issues with it. The screen keeps flickering and pixelating while using any of the smart features. The TV will just freeze, go back to the main menu on its own or restart on its own. I called Hisense for warranty support. They made me go through all the troubleshooting steps I already did twice and said they would call me back in 20 minutes. 6 Hours goes by before they call back. They are now refusing to honor the warranty because of a small scratch on the screen. The scratch was there when I bought it but isn't noticeable when watching the tv. I really didn't want to pack the tv back up and wait for another one to come back in stock for something that wasn't causing any issues. It didn't seem worth it to me until now. I asked to talk with a supervisor at Hisense support and was told one was not available and they would call me back. They never did. This scratch is not the reason for the defective unit. With a friends advice I bought a Roku stick to plug into the HDMI Port and since then I haven't had any issues. So it seems the smart features are having issues. Although it works. I am not happy that I need to have two remotes to properly use my TV with its features. It is also slower to respond through the Roku Stick.

The Hisense remote control can be used to control other HDMI devices, to a limited degree. Both devices must have consumer electronic control (CEC) functions enabled and the specific function you desire to control must be supported.
