Overall a decent tv, much of the capabilities worked fine, graphics for gaming were great. But it just died at the 2 year mark.

Nice, only complaint is the front of the tv has a light that is constantly on. I had this in my bedroom and it takes a while to adjust to the light.

Its a good Tv but has pretty bad reflection off my ceiling fan when turned on. Hoping the new version does a better job that that but otherwise a great tv

Fantastic 4K tv for the price, the Hisense U7G is probably a great bet for most people looking to upgrade or for using a TV specifically for gaming purposes. To start out, unboxing the TV is painless and standard; you’ll most likely want another person to help you set things up, as is standard. Once the TV is out of the box, you’ll be able to wall-mount it with the VESA 300x200 mount or attach the feet if you plan to place the tv on a surface. One thing to note is that the feet can be placed inwards or outwards if space is an issue. The U7G itself looks like a solid, mid-level tv. The bezels are thin enough, and the metal border is a nice touch. On the back, there is a metal backplate attached whereas the rest of the tv is plastic. This is what you’d expect around this budget, and everything feels solid enough, though there are some clips at the back, which add some depth to the tv if looking to wall mount the tv. But, enough about the tv looks: we want to know how the tv performs and produces content. Overall, for the price picture quality will be great for most. Blacks are deep thanks to the U7G’s fantastic contrast ratio and the local dimming technology. HDR content is crisp, and the tv switches between the modes with no issues. There are 90 FALD zones on the 65” version, which is decent enough. The biggest issues with this panel are glare and viewing angle, which I expected from it due to the VA panel itself. This is great for blacks and color accuracy straight on, along with motion handling, but deteriorates quickly from an angle. Again, unless you’re worried about this specifically then you probably won’t notice a huge dropoff, but if you know what to look for then this may be a distraction. As for gaming, you’ll be happy if this is your primary use case for the U7G. The 120hz panel handles motion wonderfully, and will also handle VRR across HDMI, too. Using the ‘Game’ picture mode allows you to take advantage of all the great gaming goodness that Hisense put into the tv, along with very low input lag (not enough to notice an issue across the board). Overall, I think this TV is perfect for most households. Unless you’re looking for the richest colors across wider viewing angles or always watch movies/tv-shows in pitch black, there’s enough here, especially for gamers, that you wouldn’t really need to consider other options. The great price point helps this, too.

I originally purchased a UG8 and returned it to Hisense during their 100 day trial. The sound would constantly go out of sync. They only way to sync the sound was to change to another input and then back to cable. I liked the TV but it was too annoying to deal with. I then purchased a UG7. All was well for a few days then the system updated itself. After that, the sound would drop out and the TV would lock up. If I tried to go to an app it would just freeze. The only way to get the unit working was by doing a full shutdown and reset. After reinstalling everything, the sound continues to drop out. The unit does not lock up anymore, but if I change inputs or go to an app, there is still no sound. If I do I full power down, once it powers up there is sound once again. I am not sure if I will be returning the unit or not. I still have two days to return it to Best Buy and their 15 day return policy.

Great tv. Although service from bestbuy not good. The model numbers do not match. I dont even know if they gave me right TV.

No Regrets!! This TV is awesome in all aspects!! After comparing this tv with one of samsung’s best selling tv’s, it resulted I was getting more for the value.

Great value for money TV! The android operating system works great with 'My family Cinema' and all our other android systems.
