Bought this TV after seeing the glowing reviews and despite always having high name brand TVs like Samsung, Vizio, etc. I wanted to give the underdog a shot. Unboxed and mounted it excitedly just to turn it on and discover that the display was cracked.
I don't fully blame hisense for this even though I think the packaging wasn't secure enough, compared to Samsung TVs I've purchased in the past. I personally blame the Best Buy store I bought this from for mishandling. When I picked up my pickup order, they quickly put it in my trunk without verifying who I was as if trying to get rid of it. Should've known better and since it was the last one in stock, couldn't exchange. Oh well, it may actually be a good TV; I just didn't have a chance to see for myself.

It seems that a lot of people like this to but I just can’t find a reason to be excited. I do like the operating system, it’s fresh and quick. The styling though is bland and the finish isn’t sharp. After a few weeks there isn’t a setting that makes this to look decent. With 4k content the image can’t live up to my 11 year old Samsung.
I was looking to return this to when I can on this app but noticed that I am out of my window by a few days. I never realized it was such as short amount of time.
If anyone can help with that let me know.

I would not recommend this or any of Hisense products because they’re just too unreliable. The tv developed a thin black horizontal line running across the tv within 3 months. Hisense sent a tech out to troubleshoot the tv but the technician deemed it unrepairable. So they destroyed the panel so it was completely unwatchable and said they would replace the tv. They did not replace the tv but rather said they would cut me a check for the amount of the tv which I have still not received. They’re better options in this price range from more reputable brands with an actual customer service department.
Th tv itself had horrible blooming issues and I was never impressed by the picture especially in dark scenes.

There was a lot of hype behind this television. The colors are nice and the HDR/Dolby Vision content is bright. But this TV has a big problem on every corner of the TV. There are gray blotches on every corner and they do not do any favors for watching anything in widescreen. I'm not sure if this was a bad panel or what, but this television is not worth the money I paid for it.

Defective right out of the box

I don't recommend the Hisense U7G. I just bought a new one. I installed it and used it a little. Then, I turned it off for about an hour. When I tried to turn it back on, it wouldn't turn on. I tried multiple different electrical outlets that I checked with other devices to ensure they were working; nothing worked. I'm returning it and buying a different brand of TV.
I called Hisense customer service, who told me I would need to send them a picture of me trying to turn on the TV, a receipt, model and serial number, and a description of the problem in order to get considered for a repair visit. They said I'd hear back within 24-48 hours to see if I would be scheduled; then, if the repair technician couldn't fix it, they would consider replacing the TV. What pain - that would leave me without a TV for several weeks, most likely.

The remote is a piece of garbage

When I got home I opened up the box and found that the feet for the TV was missing I had to contact Hisense to get the feet sent to me. I temporarily set it up without the feet. I found that the remote was not worth paying about $1000.00 for it the book talked about functions that were not on the remote for setting up favorite channels and what not. I again called Hisense and asked about the remote I was told that the remote for that TV is the one that sent. I told them the difficulties I was having to set up the remote and I again was told that that remote is what comes with the TV. I took it back to BestBuy got my money back and ordered SONY from Amazon.

Terrible picture quality

This is a terrible TV… the color changes while watching programs (the tint will go from cool to warm as scenes or camera angels change). The blacks look not in like they did in the store and there is a lot of noise in the images. It looks like old technology through it the image. We’ve tried messing with the picture settings and the quality isn’t there under several different options. One of our HDMI ports already doesn’t work and we just got the TV in November 2021.

Well if you would have asked me yesterday I would have said this is an amazing value. After a week of use, the tv suddenly just stopped working. Now I have to box it up and take it back. This is my first purchase of a Hisense product and I am sorry to say that I won't be exchanging it...I will be getting a refund.

Sound cutting out issues on HDMI ports, blacks are very gray even in the 65" model. Terrible motion handling for sports. Bad up scaling. Cheap back panel build quality.
Returned for a Sony X90J and the Sony is in a completely different league. Spend the $200 extra, it's worth it.
Sony, LG, Samsung are still in a different class than Hisense/TCL.
