We were coming from a 2017 Sony XBR-65X900E that was on its last legs and after reading and watching endless reviews we decided to give the U8K a try. Maybe we got a lemon, but the TVs ability to handle motion (especially in sports) was terrible and the youtube/youtubetv apps are terribly buggy. While watching NFL Sunday ticket the TV would randomly freeze for a second or two while trying to catch up to the motion. Additionally our unit had terrible vertical banding and light leaks in the screen as well as very noticeable dirty screen effect. The final nail in the coffin was on day 5 when the unit randomly started to power cycle itself. Today it is boxed up and headed back to the store.

Set it up with the Google Tv settings. Fought with it for months. It continually tries to use Wi-Fi settings, instead of the ethernet I have it connected to, even after turning off Wi-Fi. Finally did a factory reset, set it up without the Google Tv, set up as just regular tv settings. Did not connect the tv itself to the internet. I went back to my Amazon Fire Stick, ethernet is now stable, and its glorified monitor. Working great now. It does have a decent picture, but not buy another of this brand, or any Google TV.
