Want a solid TV with great picture performance that beats anything at the same price point, and even some TVs costing hundreds more? Look no further than the Hisense U8K series. The picture is beautiful, no matter the content. Sound is amazing for a modern TV set, rivaling many sound bars you'd likely consider to pair with this TV. Tons of options for everything you'd want to adjust, from fine-tuning the picture with 20-point white balance to the adjusting the sound with a 7-band equalizer and subwoofer that can be tweaked, to all the neat bells and whistles this comes with. It can be the center of your smart home with its integrated screen-off Google Assistant functionality, and it has the option to be controlled by Alexa,
All the important features made the cut here, from HDR and 4k resolution to the Mini-LED full array local dimming backlight to AirPlay, Chromecast, and Miracast, to the majority of your favorite apps being available for streaming. For gamers, the TV supports up to a 144Hz refresh rate, making all of your games silky smooth. Even some features you may not know you'd be interested in are available, like WiSA wireless surround sound and Google TV's camera-based gesture controls (which require a USB webcam, sold separately and works well if you choose to use it). Even something as simple as the ambient light sensor built into the TV works well, bringing the perfect amount of dimming to the picture for the amount of light in your viewing area.
With all the greatness here, there are a few drawbacks. For starters, I'm not a fan of the remote; like a Roku remote, it lacks buttons for direct channel entry. It also requires disposable batteries instead of being rechargeable, and the buttons aren't backlit - two things I think should be standard on a TV in this price class. I also personally think the default brightness settings for all but the Theater and Film Maker modes are too bright. Two HDMI ports are also only capable of HDMI 2.0 (4k/60) while one of the HDMI 2.1 ports is also your eARC port.
But when it comes down to it, the Hisense 65U8K is probably the best TV in its class. I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

I'm not a big gamer and I don't have a 23rd century home theater system. It was time to replace my 7 year old 4K display and the Hisense U8K fit both my requirements and my budget.
To begin, the Geek Squad delivery team was terrific. They kept me updated on their progress to my home and once they arrived they were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The setup was smooth and took very little time. Once they had departed, I got down to viewing. The Google interface is a bit clunky, but decent. The color on this display is incredible, rich and eye popping. Brightness is phenomenal and the blacks are, well, BLACK! The twin speakers and the sub woofer on the back of the TV deliver crisp, clear sound. I've read and heard some complaints about the "bare bones" remote. Hey, it turns the TV on and off, controls the volume, inputs and menu settings. It's fine.
4K HDR is astonishing. Like looking out a window, rather than viewing a display. Only 10 days in, but I couldn't be happier.

I recently had the opportunity to test out the Hisense TV, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by its performance and value for money. Hisense has established itself as a reputable brand in the TV market, and this particular model lived up to the expectations.
Picture Quality:
One of the standout features of the Hisense TV is its picture quality. The display delivers vibrant colors and sharp details, making for an immersive viewing experience. Whether you're watching movies, sports, or playing video games, the visuals are impressive, thanks to its high-resolution screen.
Sound Quality:
The TV's sound quality is decent, but it may leave some users wanting more. While it is adequate for regular TV watching, enthusiasts of immersive audio experiences may find the need to invest in external speakers or a soundbar to enhance their audio enjoyment.
Smart Features and Interface:
The Hisense TV features a built-in smart platform that allows access to popular streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and YouTube. The user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, making it convenient to find and enjoy your favorite content. Additionally, the TV supports voice control, which adds an extra layer of convenience to the overall user experience.
Design and Build Quality:
The overall design of the TV is sleek and modern, with slim bezels that maximize the screen real estate. The build quality feels sturdy and durable, showcasing Hisense's commitment to producing well-crafted products.
Connectivity and Inputs:
The Hisense TV offers a good range of connectivity options, including multiple HDMI ports, USB ports, and Wi-Fi connectivity. This allows for easy connection to various devices such as gaming consoles, Blu-ray players, and external storage devices.
Value for Money:
One of the biggest selling points of the Hisense TV is its excellent value for money. It provides a range of high-end features typically found in more expensive models, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious consumers who don't want to compromise on performance.
Potential Drawbacks:
While the TV offers an impressive overall experience, it does have a few minor drawbacks. The viewing angles could be better, as the picture quality tends to degrade when viewed from off-center positions. Additionally, the remote control could be more ergonomic and user-friendly.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, the Hisense TV delivers a commendable performance and represents great value for money. With its impressive picture quality, user-friendly interface, and solid build quality, it offers a compelling option for those seeking a reliable and affordable television. While it may have some minor limitations, its strengths overshadow these drawbacks. If you're in the market for a budget-friendly TV without compromising on quality, the Hisense TV is definitely worth considering.

I think this TV is an excellent choice for the price, especially for those looking for a good gaming TV that supports over 120hz. While comparatively not as good as what you’d get for paying twice the price, the picture is still very stunning, and there’s plenty of setting to optimize with a comprehensive UI so that you can do it quickly and smoothly. Still would recommend a sound bar, sound isn’t great. It’s not terrible but I’m a stickler and it’s really the only reason I knocked off a star.

Tv is amazing to be honest. Picture is bright and blacks are black unless you have the local dimning off. And even then its still better with blacks than some tvs with their local dimming on. Its and ads ips so colors dont fade off angles and blacks stay non haloed unless you basically 170 degress angle at the tv. Colors are also very vibrant. Only minus id give this tv is motion could be better but its also nit the worse ive seen by far. But then again this tv at $1500 is very hard to complain at. I also have a samsung s95b and a lg cx oled. Colors wise it takes a dump on the cx but thats to be expected. Compared to the s95b id say its close colors wise but it wont give you those bright small highlights like the s95b will. Just make sure to mess with the settings and dint leave it how it comes out of the box or it’ll look extremity underwhelming. Would I recommend this tv? Yes. Are there better tvs? Only a handful being the qd-oleds and the g3 oled. At $1500 this is the best 75 inch you’re gonna get period. also tried the qm8 and it had this weird image dimming that would change depending on the scene and that was with power saver and all the image ai off so take that as you will. If its in your budget and you can swing it for a 75 inch id definitely try to get the s90c qd-oled. If not or you want bright and colorful with no burnin worries this is it. I also use an xbox for all my streaming and media so i cant comment on the onboard apps but its a google interface so it should be pretty standard and easy to navigate

Love Love Love this Hisense 65" U8K TV. The picture is great, the TV get's super bright so it's perfect for a naturally bright room. Even on Energy Savings Mode, the picture looks great. I sometimes use this setting at night so it's not too bright and I have no complaints. The speakers on the TV itself sound very good and it has the built in subwoofer on the back of it. I have it wall mounted and changed the Audio setting to "Wall Mounted" so it can sound even better against the wall. I use the built in speakers occasionally, but I paired the TV with the Hisense - 5.1.2 Dolby ATMOS Soundbar with Wireless Rear Satellite Speakers & Wireless Subwoofer-Model:AX5125H. It's pairs together with ease and sounds amazing! This TV also supports the ATSC 3.0 (NextGen TV) TV Turner for updated over the air broadcasts that you can interact with. Setting up the TV was a breeze and the Google interface is awesome. I use an external Roku Ultra that seamlessly works with the U8k and Hisense soundbar to control the audio. No further setup required. I am very happy with this TV and would definitely buy again! Looking to upgrade the other older TV's in the house now as this one is amazing!

I bought this during a very good deal from Best Buy. I’ve always tried to stick with Samsung, but the Hisense had some good reviews. I specifically had interest in the 144 mHz refresh rate for gaming. I’ve had zero issues when playing games, very smooth and responsive. The TV has really been fantastic. It has a great picture, it adjusts well automatically to light, and it’s sound output based off the settings I set. I ended buying two of these after my first one. It’s been a couple months and still no issues. The only downside is Hisense doesn’t automatically end apps after not using them for awhile. I have to go in and force stop some apps every month or so to keep the tv running smooth. I also use a lot of different streaming apps and other apps. The tv is user friendly to even with all the great technology built in. All in all I highly recommend the tv

Love this TV, everything about this TV is excellent and the quality so far is exceptional. Excellent sound with a built in sub woofer on the back. Easy to navigate the menus and settings and excellent color and brightness for a Uled TV. I also like the fact that you can make adjustments to the screen or tv without leaving the screen or program you are watching. The gaming aspect and menus a real plus. Hisense really had the viewer needs in mind when they design this TV. I HAVE THE 65 in and you get the full 65 inch viewing. The stand legs are very basic with 2 positions to choose considering your stand, but you can also mount to wall if you choose. I highly recommend for the modest movie viewing and gaming. This U8K will not disappoint. And lastly the price was the real selling point compared to a OLED , this TV is a awesome value.

I go crazy when trying to find a new TV. I can't stand when brights aren't bright enough or blacks not deep enough. I originally got the TCL Qm8 amd waited an hour for it at Bestbuy after paying for it. An employee came to me and said they didn't have it in stock and offered me the U8k in it's place for the same price. I was skeptical but gave it a shot and boy am I glad I did. This TV is so clear, bright and colorful! The precalibrated settings are spot on. The video games are smooth. I am amazed every time I use the TV. I amuper happy with this purchase, my family and I love it! Thank you Hisense! Highly recommend

If the feed is quality (HDR or a 4k feed like apple tv), the picture is great. If it's upscaling (YouTube tv or Hulu) then you start to see some issues with the quality. That's to be expected with anything other than OLED. This tv is super bright which we need in our bright entertainment space. The brightness in combination with the glare reducing finish on the TV really does live up to the hype. I'm still getting some blooming on certain feeds even with Dolby digital custom. I still need to tinker with the settings but I like a darker picture so ramping up brightness and keeping the black setting at 0 doesn't do it for me. I gave it 4 stars because of the wash out in color of I stand just a few feet from center and the super complex picture settings. I have a Sonos sound bar hooked up to it so no comment on the audio. If I didn't watch countless review videos on this tv, I'd enjoy it more because I wouldn't be looking for blurred moving images during football or blooming when YouTube tv kicked on. Also, I utilize a Roku 4k for my apps. I don't recommend using internal apps as the processor isn't as good as a Roku or apple tv.

I always get either LG or Samsung TVs, so this was my time purchasing a Hisense TV and the picture’s brightness, clarity, and refresh rate were surprisingly fantastic!! We are very satisfied with this TV and Best Buy always has the best deals TVs and Best Buy did a great job delivering and installing it as well.
I would high recommend the Hisense TVs, even over samsung and LG, because the lower with the same quality!
Best Buy app also has a great spec comparison feature to make shopping for these TVs easy!!

This TV is Bright & Beautiful! Replacing a 65" LG OLED in my living room that unfortunately suffers from burn-in. The Hisense 65U8K was easy to setup, and Google TV even imported my Prime Video, Netflix, and Disney+ apps. To me this TV offers OLED like inky blacks & bright colors. It's also surprising how loud and rich the Dolby Atmos surround sound is right out of the box. Love it!

As a previous owner of the U8G, i had my fingers crossed that the quality of the tv could get better. The U8K is a leap above. Out of the box youre on 100% brightness which made all the picture appear washed out. So i had to spend time going through every setting scenario to change all if the color setting. After reducing the brightness to 50, increasing color to 65, reducing the dark level abd updating the active colors in it, now im satisfied. I can see the rich black in the picture and the colors pop more. Also the off-angle viewing is way less washed out because of this. I do think the hisense still needs to fix a software bug on the netflix screen, the tv flicks on several preview pages of video, its very weird, but otherwise it plays the video with no problem.

First impressions… out of the box just like the professional tv reviewers (FOMO and Digital Trends) the picture does need a little help. This would be a good TV to have it professionally calibrated it for the best picture this TV can provide. Disney+, Netflix or 4K content the picture is great. The sound quality is excellent with great deep base. Overall I like how easy the menu is, it’s very bright, motion is pretty good. I still need to play with the TV settings.
If you are running Spectrum or low content do not expect a very good picture. If anyone has advice how to watch Spectrum or low content and get a better picture, please I would love to know what settings to change.
I would recommend the Hisense U8K but up against the TCL QM8 these 2 tv’s are neck and neck and very hard decision to make.

I was undecided between a OLED or QLED for a while and I decided to go with this TV not only due to the price but the quality. I didn't think a QLED could look so good but Hisense has done an outstanding job with the black levels and local dimming. Just keep in mind its been 6 years since I've bought a new TV and I can tell the tech has come along way. I mainly use the TV for gaming and movies and its perfect. The sound quality was one thing that really surprised me, way better that I thought even after watching reviews. I highly recommend for anyone wanting a high quality TV for a reasonable price.

Purchased this to replace a 12 year old Samsung plasma in our basement. Wanted 4k. Used the RTings settings for initial setup and was not happy with the picture. Did further research and tweaked the settings accordingly. Now the picture is really good. Blacks are dark, almost as dark as the plasma. Sports look good. Pleased with my purchase. Picture can get very bright and vibrant. I actually had to turn it down in my dark basement, it was too bright.
Glad I bought from BestBuy as I like to support local brick and mortar companies.

I was first looking at the usual big name brands but this one turned up on the sales floor, I did a LOT of research on it and watched MANY Youtube experts doing tests and comparisons and they were all unilaterally surprised bu its performance! I have watched LG Oled demo videos on this tv and it looks the same as the oled at the sales floor ( I sell tvs for a living). Incredible panel, Turned the shadow brightness to -5 and it instantly looks like an Oled with super deep blacks and amost perfect dimming! One cannot go wrong with this new U8K and evend even the U7K, I am planning on buying now the U7K for the living room since the U8k blew my mind in my bedroom! Buy it and watch Youtube videos in HDR and Netflix content in Dolvy Vision, this is an amzing tv for the price and it comes with 2 yrs warranty! The legs have two positions and that was perfect for my tv table. The sound is glorious out of the box! I am using Sonos but really you won't need any soundbar at all! Just an incredible tv Hisense, you outdid yourselves!! Thank you!!

You cannot miss with this Hisense U8K. This set gives you so much punch for the dollar that it's insane. Micro-Led, incredible brightness and great sound combine to deliver what the bigger brands would charge you double for. Hisense doesn't have the pedigree of a Samsung or LG, but 15 years ago those brands were viewed the same way. Hisense is an emerging brand and they have the big brands squarely in their sights. I absolutely recommend this set to anyone who's looking for great value.
