This tv is awesome for just about everything. Just bought to replace my 65” samsung 8000 series and its a massive jump. Not even close . I almost bought the c2 lg but saved a grand bc this was so close in picture. Brigther than the lg but not quite as good with the perfect color contrast. The tv is seriously a spotlight. Xbox series x is insane. Absolutley awesome tv. Highly recommended!

As of writing this review I've had this TV for ~3 weeks, so I can't speak about long-term quality. However, I can say some things in the short-term. It's worth mentioning that Hisense has a promotion that allows you to refund within 100 days or get a $100 prepaid card when purchasing this TV from select retailers (Sep 01 - Oct 31 '22). Unfortunately their customer service told me to return my TV and buy it again if I wanted to take advantage of the promotion. Pros: The display is impressively bright, has impressive contrast (for a non-OLED), and has good viewing angles for being a VA panel. Colors are great, too, and gray uniformity is pretty consistent. Backlight bleed isn't an issue either, though there seems to be a super slight vignette in the corners of the screen. Some of these could definitely depend on the luck of the draw. Google TV is a generally pleasant user experience, and the sound quality is good enough. Cons: The motion processing is really not great, but if you stick to the Filmmaker mode it's a nonissue. I'm not a fan of that kind of postprocessing anyway. The UI can be a bit laggy at times, and I don't expect that to get any better with time. Some people have said that the TV doesn't officially support 4k120hz and will display at half the vertical resolution if you try to do so but I haven't been able to test this. For me, it was hard to justify spending 2x the price on a comparable OLED TV (C1/C2) just for it to get burn-in within a few years. This seems like a great value for what it is.

I ended up returning this TV, BUT overall for the money its a good buy. I had issues with the TV not turning on via CEC and for me there was noticeable color banding. Also the processing was less than stellar. Meaning any low quality content remained low quality content. Also during scenes with a large amount of contrast, you would get a heavy amount of soap opera effect. The reasons I think this TV would be great for most people: - The black levels are amazing, and I'm coming from an OLED. - Its also brighter than the sun, and would be amazing for those bright viewing rooms. - I believe the CEC issue with the TV not turning on when I go to use my Apple TV. Is probably because I'm running everything through an audio receiver. A very common issue among cost effective TV's. (part of the reason Sony Samsung and LG cost more.) That being said for the money its pretty good. For a video snob like myself with a bunch of equipment I found myself happier with a Sony X90K. Because the color accuracy and turning on with my Apple TV is very important to me.

I had this tv for over 6 months now and let me say I'm super happy with my purchase this Tv has a beautiful picture the speakers sound absolutely amazing for being just tv speakers and the features rank right up there with the top teir tv`s like Samsung Lg and sony for less than half the price you get a tv that preforms just as well or better. 4k picture is on point and the gaming is awesome running at 120fps over all I'm happy as a lark.

I had not known this brand very well, but based on decent reviews and a low price I took a chance. I could not be happier. The picture is bright with vivid colors. The sound is better than any tv i have had in the past. There is a built in subwoofer on the back. This virtually eliminates the need for a sound-bar. HDR content looks amazing. Motion settings take a little trial and error to dial in just right, but it was very simple to do. Great tv and a great price.

My 7 year old Sony died. I was looking for a replacement and did not wish to spend anywhere near as much as I had on that TV. I did some research regarding some of the "discount" brands and HiSense stood out. The Mini-LED provides a clear, sharp picture with outstanding contrast and deep blacks. For the price point, it is a lot of TV for the money.

After watching our TU7000 for several years, this U8H is miles above in brightness, sharpness and rendering blacks. The sound quality and flexibility is so much better also, and even better than our Bose TV speaker. We bought it for YTTV compatibility, but all the apps load up instantaneously. The kicker, of course, is Best Buy's 24mo/0% deal, which made it a no-brainer purchase.

The tv is great but i may have some regret not choosing a higher end tv like an oled. It has some issues like fine detail shimmering, blurred halo around people in movement on sdr, some apps don't work properly or at all like the nest app. Streaming apps like freevee constantly buffer. And i believe dolby vision doesn't work. I fear they'll never fix it with an update. The good is no blooming is visible, brightness is incredible and overall picture quality is great.

Incredibly bright picture. Pitcher has amazingly great overall quality. The Google OS has performed relatively well. Sharp and snappy responses for the most part. Bug free for the most part also. Sound quality is way better than most tv’s, but compared to an add-on system, It’s average sounding. I personally would say it has overall high value for the price. I understand it’s not the “best“ TV out there, but I am very pleased with my purchase, love it

Amazing sound -- no need for additional audio components. Picture is great, even in 1080. Brightness is more than adequate: I have it turned way down, even in bright conditions. I think this TV would be very usable even in full sunlight. Occasional tendency for it to lose the plot: there have been a couple of glitches with losing audio completely, but a restart always fixes the problem. Otherwise, really happy with this purchase.

I bought this TV to replace a much more expensive LG TV of the same size, refresh rate, and resolution. The only downside is that it is no where near as snappy when navigating menus in apps or locally on the device. That said, it plays content just as effectively for less than half the price, so I believe this is a much more worthy product

The picture is super bright and colorfull it makes watching tv, movies, gaming on the PS5 or Series X an experience! Plus the 120hz is great for the new gen consoles. Obviously it cant have the same black levels as the higher end led or oled tvs but i couldnt be happier with my new tv, wish I could get another.

I bought this TV for gaming on my PS5 and its does 120hz flawlessly. Gaming experience is great. Overall Great TV best picture and bang for the buck you can find under 1k. The only complaint I have is that the sound bar via optical will not let me control the volume through the hisense remote. As for sport removing all motion enhancements are 10/10.

TV has a great picture and is easy to use. Sometimes the sound isn’t great, not sure if it’s the TV or the streaming platform. And the only thing I don’t like, is that it will randomly interrupt a program with the voice feature. Somehow the voice command will open and start typing voice commands from a TV show. Other than that it is a great TV

Good picture, brightness. However had it 8 months and sound went out. Spent hours with HS support, reset TV, etc. etc. Finally they said they would send someone in a week. The motherboard had gone out. The repair person was good and fast. However the support was slow and I had to explain it to three different people. Finally a senior manager handled it.

The picture quality is superb. Comparable to my OLED. Built-in sound is not great but I’ve only ever had one TV where builtin sound was actually good. NextgenTV antenna works perfect! HDMI compatibility is where it falls short. Tried using it with a Vizio Atmos soundbar, could not get it to work with ARC properly. Upgraded to a Denon AVR S760h; no matter what I tried, it would not work with ARC/eARC. This could be the fault of the reciever or the tv but no way to really know without trying with another receiver and/or TV. It seemed to be an issue specifically with the ARC port on the tv as video would display from the receiver on all others no problem but on the arc port it would just say it didn’t have a signal. Tried several HDMI ultra certified cables and configuration combinations with no luck on the ARC port. Finally gave up, disabled CEC, plugged the receiver into port 4 for video, and used optical output from TV to receiver for the antenna audio since the receiver has all the HDMI ports I need. Then everything worked perfectly. I blame the HDMI standard more than anything.
