Great picture, close to OLED at better price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture. I originally bought the U6, but returned and got the U8. Very happy with this TV. I have several TVs in my house. Including an LG C2 OLED. This TV is pretty close to that one. Great brightness, deep blacks, handles light or dark room very well. Amazing picture when watching sports. I would recommend this TV.

Best 75in TV...Hisense U8 75in
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from the Sony ecosystem, I was very surprised by the picture quality of the Hisense U8 tv. I did the research, watched lots of reviews, and spent countless hours in front of the demo units. After 4 mos of deliberating, I finally made the decision. And I'm glad I did! The picture quality rivals that of the oled displays offered by giants Sony, Samsung, and LG. The menu system is intuitive, allowing me to tweak the picture to my personal taste. Plenty of hdmi inputs with an eArc for my sound system. If you're in the market, get at least the 75in, or if you have space and the budget, the 85in. You won't be disappointed!

Absolutely
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this up in May. It was open box. Under $1000 with tax and 5 year service. An absolute no-brainer. Replaced a 73 inch Mitsubishi Rear Projection. As you can imagine it was a quantum leap both in brightness and resolution. Old sound bar went to the garage. This thing has a sub that is rather amazing with the tv on a stand in the corner of a big room. The bass propagation is impressive. The only negative is my wife bogarting the remote so I have to sit through hours of victim tv until she falls asleep. I have only made a handful of reviews in my lifetime and this tv deserves one.

New tv
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went to bestbuy to buy a different tv, then i saw the quality of picture on this tv and had to have it. Great tv so far, quality seems to be great, setup has come a long way, one plug in the eark hdmi and up and running. We added a surround sound of the same brand to enhance the experience and what a difference. Overall very happy with the experience at bestbuy and the staff to help with all my questions. Would definitely recommend this tv to anyone looking for a great picture quality.

Great Jack of all Trades
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's an easy 5 stars - especially if you get this unit on sale. Large swath of settings. There is a bit of a learning curve on maintaining picture settings across multiple inputs. I constantly find myself adjusting based on what I'm playing or watching...which is both a curse and a blessing. If I knew the picture only came a certain way and I accepted that, I would not be constantly striving for the best picture. That being said, it becomes an obsession to perfect the picture because it gets better, better, and better. Great for gaming and probably the best picture you can get without getting into OLEDs.

Hisense TVs rock, my newest 75" is incredible.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Superb TV at almost any price, and the sales prices was exceptional. Brightness and HDR are exceptional. All the newest sound and visual technologies are available. The TV speakers are good enough that I've felt no need to plug in a sound bar. We have 3 Hisense TVs in the house, the oldest of which is 8 years old. That one is still terrific, and I use it both as a computer monitor and TV. I'm a big fan of Hisense.

Amazing picture!!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love just about everything about this TV! I was a huge Samsung guy and I mainly own Samsung TVs so I was on the fence about switching to another brand, but I heard and seeing that high sense has stepped up their game over the years, And was looking and Samsung model, and I just really liked all the bells and whistles and features of this monitor versus the Samsung even though it was slightly more expensive. The automatic light remote access apps, the Google TV home which displays all your streaming shows in one place so that way you don’t have to go into an app to see what you were watching TV automatically switching at night and daytime. I think my one and only complain is the fact that you can only do audio through the TV or surround sound. In my older Samsung TV I could have audio coming out of the monitor and the surround sound for more encompassing sound with no echo back effect. So that’s my only one major complaint.

Great TV but not so great Google tv interface.
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture quality is excellent. very bright screen. Very loud built in speaker system. the only is issue is Google tv interface. It's laggy at times. freezes up once in a while. I've had to restart the tv a couple of times. my opinion, Roku interface is the best. I have another brand TV with Roku & have not had to restart the tv once.

Hisense U8 what a SURPRISE!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Saw this TV in the store and it compared very close to the OLED but tremendously cheaper. After it was installed the fun began with the Google search and format. Just luv searching for a movie across all my streaming on one screen presented by Google. Picture quality is awesome and I would recommend the U series Miniled to anyone especially now that I bought the U7 75" for the garage!

75U8N Upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgrade from the Hisense 75U8H. That was a great TV. I didn't think I would see any improvements over 75U8H because it was such a great tv, but I'm so impressed. Itis an amazing picture. The ADS-IPS PRO+ panel is really something. My U8H was awesome but whatever they did Hisense they took it up a notch. Amazing picture. The colors and dynamic of the picture are stunning. Out of the box it's great. The Local Dimming does such a great job. Once calibrated its stunning. Great job Hisense. Can't say enough about this tv.

Solid TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv has been amazing. My husband bought it because he wanted a tv that had limited glare, and that's exactly what we got. It has great picture quality, built-in sound, and is very user-friendly. For the price, you can't beat. I can't speak to any of the technical stuff because all I care about is how well it works, and for me it works great. Highly recommend this tv.

Great TV for the Price
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Happy with the purchase. The screen looks great and has deep blacks. Watching movies and gaming on it has been transformative coming from a 42" cheap 4K TV. There really is a major difference. The remote it comes with is designed very well and works on other devices connected to the TV, which is pretty nifty. If I included the Google TV in my rating, however, I'd knock it down a star. I noticed the occasional stutter watching Poor Things on Hulu and Pirates of the Caribbean on Disney+ during slow camera movement, for example, and it has given us trouble with account authentication, so we switched back to using a FireTV Stick 4K for streaming. Blurays on this, like The Lord of the Rings ultra HD release, look perfect.

Fantastic TV with One Minor Quirk
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TV. One of the brightest, clearest pictures I've seen in a TV. Like all new TV's you have to experiment to see which settings best meet your personal preferences. Changes were easy and it didn't take much zero in on the settings we liked best. One minor annoyance. If you use a soundbar, when you change the volume, the volume display on your TV will only show a "+" or "-". It will not show a bar telling you the volume level or a number telling you the volume level. You can control the volume on your soundbar through the TV remote, you just don't get the visual reference you may be used to from other TV brands. I spoke with Hisense Tech Support. It's an issue with the firmware of Hisense TV's. They apparently made the change last year to be more compatible with other brands of soundbars. The rep told me this is a complaint they're getting often and hopefully a future firmware update will address it (no promises).

Good but...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good image quality with smooth refreshing rates and vibrant colors, the only issue i have is that sometimes it refuses to turn on, it doesn't matter what you do, i have to unplug and reconnect and then sometimes i have to wait regardless and then all by itself turns on.

75 U8N
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great TV if you have a bright room. Colors are smooth, the sound from the TV comes out clear and loud. For those worried about the ADS Pro Panel, don’t worry, it looks great. The only time the black bars are noticeable is when viewed in the dark, but you can fix that with a backlight. The viewing angle is also great on this as well. I have an OLED for our main TV, and I would say that this gets 90 % there for less money.
