Customers are delighted by the exceptional picture quality, impressive brightness, and amazing contrast with deep black levels offered by the 85" Class U8 Series TV. The TV also excels in Dolby Vision performance and provides fast refresh rates, enhancing the viewing and gaming experience. However, some customers have expressed concerns regarding the overall functionality and the weight of the TV, while others find the upscaling of lower-resolution content to be just acceptable.

An overall great value. Near-oled performance, plenty of configurability, and suited well for both traditional content consumption and gaming. Capable of getting painfully bright while maintaining deep blacks while minimizing backlight bleed so often plaguing local dimming LCDs. Google TV is fairly smooth and snappy; a marked improvement from previous Hisense TVs I've used. While it won't perform quantatively as well as more expensive OLED displays in per-pixel light control, response times, or viewing angles, 95%+ of the time it's perceptually right there with the best TVs on the market, despite being roughly half the price. I highly recommend it for all use cases as, again, the value proposition on offer here is borderline-unmatched!

Best bang for your buck tv on the market! I did weeks of research to find the right one, as a photographer and videographer that has my work displayed on this tv I am so excited with the quality. No burn in like on oleds but with equal quality. Amazing contrast and black levels. And burn your eyes brightness!

Needed to replace my main TV. I usually only buy Sony TV's. I knew Hisense is fast becoming a hit in the mini led field l. After a lot of research I went with the 85U8N. Wow, I am blown away with how good this TV. Being a TV snob I was a little nervous buying a TV that's not a higher end Sony. While the pricer Sony TV'S do have best in class processing, I could not ignore the $1600 difference between this TV and a comparable Sony . The 85U8N is quick to respond and had all the bells and whistles of the "big three' but and a much better price point. This TV will not disappoint.

I like the TV as compared to OLED which is much more expensive. If you're picky, spend the money and go with LG OLED. It's def bright and the blacks still look great for a Mini LED. I haven't calibrated it but typically use my iPhone for comparison to get the colors as close as I can. PS5 looks great on 85". Worth the money if you can get it for around $1800 or save and go LG.

I believed the reviews from the Consumer Electronics show, and they were right: maybe the best ever at this price point.
The Best Buy sales staff tried to steer me to other brands, which I already have installed. I explained that I was only there to buy this new experience.
The Naples Best Buy certainly charged more for the delivery and installation than I’ve recently paid at the Asheville BB, but US$ is falling and ….

TV has a great picture quality. The interface for this TV is a bit glitchy and sluggish, but for the price it’s not bad. I bought an Apple TV so if you’re doing the same it’s not noticeable and it’s really good. I have a LG CX and the black levels are as close as it gets to being OLED. I highly recommend it especially if you’re going for 85+ inch tv, cause oleds that size are over priced.

The TV is great and the picture looks amazing. The only problem was setting up the TV. The entire process took about 2 hrs. The TV stand is not the most user friendly and was complicated to put together. The TV was heavy and the TV stand is heave which made things even more difficult to set up. I suggest getting assistance to set up the TV because it is not a one person job.

This was one of my best buys of 2025. I truly feel like I have a private movie theater in my living room. The image is fantastic, especially considering the size. The operating system is very quick and the navigation platform is very well organized. The remote control is also pretty cool. I highly recommend.

I knew basically nothing about Hisense previously, but I did do some reading prior to replacing our 65" Sony. I'd been fairly faithful to Sony and Samsung, but after experiencing issues with the Sony (constant OS freezing), and knowing Sony did not actually manufacture their on screens. Decided to give this a try. So far, everything had been exceptional. Picture, dark scene contrast, and especially sound without soundbar are far superior to the Sony, which, although 0" smaller, was also quite a bit pricier.

Picture is great compared to what i upgraded from but still expected a little more. A bit laggy too when turning off, on or simply just scrolling. Its a good price for what you get in my opinion in the end. Also on the display in store it said it did not have apple airplay but it actually did. So big plus. Big and Bright for sure.

Once you calibrate it, you can't go wrong. The only gripe I have is now I want a home theater but need to be a millionaire. Got the 85 and it seems like too much at first, but if you know view distances it'll be an easy decision. Only super technical people will point out not t pics like " that's not true black" but they're also the people that ruin jokes by saying "well actually". And the built in speaker is crazy good.

Great TV for the price! I really enjoyed this TV. I opted for the Sony Bravia 9 85” instead of keeping this Hisense U8N 85” TV because of my curious mind needing to know how much better a Sony Bravia 9 is. Honestly, now that I’ve owned the Bravia 9, I can confidently say, I would have been totally happy with the Hisense U8N 75”. I can’t speak to longevity but it less than half the amount of a Sony Bravia 9.

This tv has the best audio that I've heard in recent memory. Most sets need an additional soundbar to hear dialog clearly but this tv has crystal clear sound. Not only is the sound incredible, the colors are vibrant and the images are sharp. This set rivals my older OLED tv that I have. All I can say is WOW - this is a ridiculous value!

I had purchased a TCL 85 inch TV which I returned because I couldn’t get the colors to look any better than washed out. That might have been my fault. However, I traded it in for the Hisense U8N and couldn’t be happier. The colors were crisp, the flesh tones were good, and you need very little adjustment. I highly recommend.

This Hisense TV has a great image quality at an affordable price. I watched out fir this TV for some time. I checked other TVs at the store a few times to make sure I would be getting a great product i would want for years to come. This TV always surpassed the other models each time.
