Great movie about the beginning of the hobbit journey from the book of the same name. Only bad thing about it is the length of the movie, I know some people dont like movies that long.

Great film all of hr extras make this a great gift that I will enjoy with the person I gave it to. If you have not seen these movies, you are missing out.

This is a nice 2 disk DVD version (with lots of extras) of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. The quality and price were just what I was looking for. Great for any Hobbit fan!

Scenery was breathtaking. Story envolves giving answers to help them through their journey. Wonderful acting especially Orlando Bloom. Must see as the second installment is upcoming.

I purchased this movie for my husband and he loves it. Hes already watched it several times. The only downer to this purchase was the price, a little high compared to other retail stores.

The movie in extended version is an absolute must for any Lord of the Rings completist. The added footage adds depth to the characters and fit in seamlessly.

I saw all three movies in the theater. Before we saw The Battle of the Five Armies I picked up Desolation of Smaug for my son. So of course I needed to complete the DVD set. :)

Exactly what can be expected from Peter Jackson... a great movie. I love the writings of J.R. Tolkien and Peter Jackson brought it to life on the big screen. Looking forward to the next one.

Bought this on Black Friday. Great deal on a great movie. Watching this in Blu-ray is a completely different experience. Crispy pictures, sharp sound, lovely movie.

This movie was an awesome prequel to the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and helps you understand LOTR better. It makes me want to go read The Hobbit. Can't wait for the second movie to come out.

Even though the movies aren't totally to the book, I do like them. I find a lot of inspiration from these little people doing big tasks. The actor playing Bilbo does a superb job.

Do I need to say much more? It's the Hobbit. I've already watched all of the extras on this one and it makes me love this movie even more. Looking forward to the rest of the movies now.

The Hobbit is a really short book compared the the much larger Lord of the Rings trilogy. It probably should not be split into 3 separate movies because of this. They are using supplemental material from the appendix of Lord of the Rings but the movie is still a bit thin and feels stretched.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this rendition of The Hobbit. We thought they did an excellent job telling the story that was told in the book. We will be watching it over and over again.

I've always loved the book, and the movie lives up to all my expectations!! It's just as well done as The Lord Of The Rings trilogy(if not better). I can't wait for the next installment!

As a major fan of The Lord of the Rings film trilogy, I was disappointed in some of the elements Peter Jackson put into his Hobbit trilogy. However, the movie itself looks beautiful in Blu Ray and the bonus content is worth watching all on its own.

True, it was weird seeing things that weren't in the book and seeing more CGI than the LOTR movies had, but not comparing it to the prior trilogy I thought it was well done. Peter Jackson still keeps the charm and emotion from the LOTR trilogy in this film.

This is a very well done adaption of the book, just like Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings movies. Don't go into this thinking that everything is the same, because it isn't. I don't have a problem with that, since that wouldn't be 100% possible, b ut it seems to come a lot close than LOTR.

I bought this movie for my wife who loves the entire Lord of the Rings series. It took it about a week longer than it was suppose to because of UPS due to bad weather the week before.
