Contrary to the pundits... This is a great movie! I can't wait for the Trilogy to be fully released so I can re-watch them in succession!

Lord junkies like me have to have the complete set. With this I am now done. The only complaint I have is with the price of 3D.

It's the best way to watch the hobbit. You get all of the good stuff they cut out of the theatrical version because of time reasons.

I went to the movie a couple of times and purchased the original Blu-ray but the Blu-ray with the extended version is so much better.

This was an awesome translation of The Hobbit. I know they had to cut a few scenes but all in all a great movie! Can't wait for the next two!

Liked the movie, and it would be good if it wasn't following in the shadow of the original LoR series, which had deeper characters and story and was overall much more compelling.

This was an excellent value for a 3-disc package with digital copy, although I don't really prefer the UltraViolet format for it.

I enjoyed this more than the LOTR trilogy. Highly recommend giving this a go if you haven't already.

Because you just have to get every movie to complete the collection. And the extended versions are the ones to get. Even tho they make an already long movie longer, they are thr best way to see them.

The extended scenes add real value to the movie, and I highly recommend getting this version if you like the trilogy.

This movie is entertaining. It follows the story line well but not necessarily completely. Character development is fantastic and the characters are believable. Costumes are spectacular as is the computer animation.

Peter Jackson's films take you on the magical journey Tolkien envisioned....the actors are superb and the scenery is breathtaking!

This is a good movie-especially if you're a Tolkien fan. Was originally put off by them breaking the one book into 3 movies but all in all I think they did a good job--as long as you haven;t read the book recently.
