Less laughs than you remembered
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Our memory of Hocus Pocus improved on the movie more than the movie actually earned from its comedy and actors. It's got a gentle, fun plot, that moves along. The trio of witches is amusing, but rarely out-loud funny. These famous personalities were mostly wasted, but Bette Midler is clearly the star here. The characters we're supposed to care about were fine, but not memorable or especially endearing. I suppose it's a way to introduce youngsters into pseudo-horror that won't traumatize them. I'd predict most folks will wonder what the fuss was about.

Three Witches Wicked and Funny

I love Bette Midler in general but she took it to another level as a witch in this movie. Too funny. I was pleased to purchase this movie from Best Buy at a crazy low price!
