Hocus Pocus is a classic Halloween movie in my opinion. It's a great movie that is fun for the whole family. Very young children could potentially be scared by a few things in the movie including the zombie boyfriend losing his head. But as long as the kids are old enough to understand that it's just a movie, they should be fine. I believe there are one or two "ugly" words in the movie as well, although it's not too bad. The movie is funny enough that both children and adults can enjoy it.

This movie never gets old!!! We have watched this a family many times

A fun Disney movie that I hadn't seen before. Got it for Halloween.

My wife has this on DVD and I showed her a picture of the steelbook version. She geeked-out when she seen it, so I surprised her and ordered (on-line). The steel arrived a few days later in mint condition. I must say, this is a really cool looking steelbook. I wish other releases got the amount of detail this one got! My wife loves it. We will watch the movie closer to Halloween, but this was definitely a great upgrade on our DVD for the price point.

This is a super cheesy 90s Halloween movie. Not my style, but my wife grew up with this movie and still loves it to this day. We are both in our 30s. She wanted to rate it 5 stars and I wanted to give it 1 star. So 3 it is.

It was a nice way to celebrate halloween. The movie was funny

One of the best movies I’ve ever seen! My granddaughter and grandson and me have watched it at least 6 times since I bought it! I looked everywhere for this DVD and finally found it at BestBuy in Boardman , Ohio. I think it is an awesome movie for the Halloween season. I am so thankful to have been able to find this DVD because it is so funny and entertaining for the children!

Great movie to watch with the kids . Has great family values.

It made me very happy to see this movie come to Blu-Ray. I saw this in the theaters with my father and two sisters when it was first released, and we have a VHS of it that we watched many times. Our VHS copy still works, but it's starting to wear out a bit. When I saw this on Blu-Ray, I immediately put it into my shopping basket. This is widescreen, and the audio/video quality is excellent!

Great movie to watch for Halloween. Movie is ok for kids.

Was one of my all-time Halloween feature films when I was a kid,and wife's also .decided to purchase it for the three year old,she instantly fell in love with it. She wasn't afraid of the witches at all. it was like having the classic all over again- but in beautiful high def.Amazing Story with a great soundtrack. really aHalloween classic that's a must-have.wish this combo also had ultraviolet copy but other than that it is the best deal for the price.

What Halloween season can go by without watching this one??

I grew up watching this. And my kids continue the love.

It's a good movie for the family especially for the younger audiences. Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy star as the Sanderson sisters who are witches that were hanged for practicing witchcraft on children by draining their life force so they could prolong their lives. Before their sentences were carried out Winifred Sanderson (Bette Midler) cast a spell that one day they will be resurrected by a virgin who will light the black flame candle. 300 years later a family has recently moved into town... the eldest son of the family Max reluctantly takes his little sister Dani out for trick or treating. Max, Dani and a girl Max has a crush on Allison eventually end up trespassing into the Sanderson sisters home and ignite the black flame candle bringing the witches back to life.

Going back to 1993 when this movie debuted, I was not as much of a fan as I have become over the years. Obviously Hocus Pocus may not have the best acting or the best story line, but it's slowing becoming a classic. My daughter, who is now 11, has enjoyed it over the years and for that I appreciate the movie a little more. If you like mild scares, at times silly comedy, and a good mix of witches, zombies, and Halloween, you will enjoy this movie.

Bought this for my wife who is a big time Hocus Pocus fan. She already had the digibook but I knew she’d fall in love with the movie all over again with the steelbook and all it’s terrific artwork. It’s a great movie if your a fan which as I said my wife is, it never gets old for her!
