It leaked oil from the main motor and I had to put it on a small soft cloth to catch the drip and so the cheap base would not scratch the wood counter top. Fan works great, but not worth the price.. Disappointed in the cheap plastic base and leaking motor.

I can't be the only person who gets defective items when I purchase from Best Buy... Seems just about everything I purchase from them is either bad When I get it home or goes bad within a few days! This fan Died in 3 days and Best Buy would not allow me to return due to being flagged for returning too many items. So out in front of the house it went .... Have pretty much written off Best Buy.

The dial knob could've been placed in a different area and the knob to stop rotation did not like to stay locked.

Those are it good features. Unfortunately, it has some issues. The instructions say "insert lower end of the fan stem into the centre hole of the base until locked in place." It doesn't warn you about having to align the retaining clip. The parts are badly sized and I had to bang on it to get it assembled. I thought the plastic would break, but luckily didn't. The on/off/speed combo swivel switch is awkward. The fan is noisy! Very nosy on high and still noisy on the lowest setting. Too noisy for a small office or bedroom.
