We all know how great this movie is, but how does it look in 4k? This is a great 4k transfer with some scenes being crystal clear. I noticed so many new things while watching this 4k disc. There are a few scenes that are soft, but that is more of a product of the source material rather than the 4k transfer. I would recommend this 4k disc to Home Alone fans.

Significant improvement over the Blu-Ray. I tried two different “family fun edition” Blu-Rays in multiple players to find that they both froze at the exact same place. Apparently Fox did some subpar coding/writing for their movies. Die Hard does this too. Anyways, I was mostly happy it could play all the way through and the picture quality was astounding.

One has to recognize that Home Alone was shot as a soft film, meaning that ultra crisp resolution just is never going to be there. Overall, the 4K UHD transfer is a nice improvement from the previous blu-rays. The HDR grading does give it a very nice film depth and the Steelbook option is a fitting presentation for this classic sci-fi/action movie.

This was in instant classic! So whether we watch it with kids or by ourselves we love it.

A Great Best Buy Christmas Season Steelbook! If you are a fan of the movie you can identify the heat gun, tarantula spider and paint bucket props on the front of the steelbook. Everyone knows the story so no point discussing. Video is Native 4K, which is excellent, and the Audio is a carry over from the previous Blu-ray release.

It’s both chaos and comedy but put together it turns out to be solid comical entertainment! Eight year old Kevin got his wish – he lost his family. Thankfully the burglars are bunglers Joe Pesci [Harry] & Daniel Stern [Marv]) and Kevin is fiendishly crafty with his anti-burglar tactics. And Mom reunites with him on Christmas Day as does the estranged Father and son next door

This remaster and package was one of the last things Fox had put together before their sale to Disney finalized. So the mouse basically picked up the prepackaged deal and said "here you go." Thankfully they did, cause the release looks wonderfully filmic and the color just pops on a well calibrated 4K screen! the steelbook is also really fun and has slightly embossed titling which is a nice touch!

This is a fun movie for folks of all ages. We watch it almost every year & still laugh.

This is my all time favorite Christmas movie to date. I loved the story and thought Macaulay Culkin did such a phenomenal job in this movie. His interactions with Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern were just so enjoyable to watch. I was entertained throughout the whole movie and I even had a moment where I cried with some of the scenes. This is definitely my go to movie every Christmas.

Finally completed my collection of Christmas movies. Not the same without this one!

Home Alone is in my opinion one of the greatest Christmas movies of all time. The film has held up incredibly well, it has humor and charm, and just a feeling of the time that would be impossible to capture in a movie done today. The 4K transfer also looks excellent, this one is a must have for your collection.

Well, there is not too much to say about Home Alone, I think just about everyone on the planet has seen it. I think it is one of the best holiday movies around. I watch it every year at least once. I got it on sale for $8.00, can't beat that. I have not watched the Blu-Ray yet as I have watched it on TV this year already. I cannot review the Blu-Ray picture quality or the extras if there is any. However, I jumped at the chance to own the Blu-Ray-dvd combo pack for that price.

Wish this was a double feature steel but oh well. Christmas classic

Watched this with the family. Cheesy but still a good movie

My son is very excited to watch this movie over and over, especially around Christmas time. Since we do not own a 4K player, we have to contend with the digital copy or Blu-ray. Wish the digital copy was in 4K as well. Nonetheless, this is a very entertaining movie and we all enjoy it.

What a great holiday classic movie now in brilliant 4K DVD with extra features. I have shared with family and friends to get this movie to enjoy and to find it here so thank you BestBuy for providing this movie and quality features on a metal book cover as well. A truly neat way to enjoy this classic all time movie once more again!
