It's the original Home Alone...what more needs to be said? I will argue that this is a better Christmas movie than "A Christmas Story" but that's not really what this review is for is it? The movie itself looks really good for being remastered to Blu-Ray and the limited edition SteelBook was a nice additional touch.

Enjoyed watching this movie again and made me laugh

This is my must see Christmas movie every year. I grew up watching this movie on VHS all the way up to blu ray. So when this movie came out in 4k it was a must buy. This movie looks fantastic in 4k! A big difference from blu ray, highly recommend!

It has been many years since I have seen Home Alone. The only copy I ever owned was the VHS version that I received as a kid. Since it was the 25th Anniversary I figure it would be a good time to relive the laughs of this great movie. The movie still holds the test of time as it still garnered laughs throughout even though I remembered what was coming. The quality of the film in HD is quite good. One of the reasons I still buy discs instead of going all digital is that I love all the special features and audio commentaries that come with the discs. This disc is packed with special features. The downside is that the special features are pretty short. I was left wanting more. What was there was good and insightful. Pick up this disc and share it with your kids if they haven't seen it. This is a classic film that is worth picking up.

When it comes to modern holiday gems, you got your Griswolds, Buddy the Elf, and of course, Kevin McCallister. If you love the Home Alone movies (1 and 2 of course, we won't discuss the others), then you will love this beautiful-looking steelbook. Great quality, great features, and great packaging make for a purchase so fun, you'll want your own large cheese pizza to enjoy it with!

The cover may be green (as original artwork for this movie has always used blue as a primary cover), but don't think that anything has changed to this movie, other than pristine picture and audio quality. This is a great release of a classic holiday movie, and packed with some great extras that are really worth watching. Your family will want to watch this many times, making this purchase a no-brainer.

Item was ready for pickup the dame day. About the movie: well what has not been said. Watched the movie in theaters with my family and loved it. Saw it after Christmas that year and the theater was still full. Oh, and go ahead and get the soundtrack to along with the movie; like RC and moon pies!

Despite this movie getting tons of different versions (Box sets, individual blu-ray release) and now the steelbook version, it's still an instant classic. I don't much care for the other 4 movies in the franchise but when it comes to the first original Home Alone, I find myself home not SO alone adding this to my steelbook collection. Another great holiday gift to give this season.

Bought the 4k steel book edition, really caught my eye and though an extra $5 was worth the upgrade! Love the design to it, great addition to my steel book collection! Haven't gotten a chance to watch movie yet, this is one film that me and the family enjoy watching during the Christmas holiday!

This is fun adventure where a boy wishes his parents were gone for Christmas and does what ever he wants. Not until some burglars start heading towards Kevin's house for the goods. Its up to Kevin to save his Christmas by being the man of the house and take on the criminals! A classic Christmas tale of laughter and heart warming ending. A must see!

What can I say about this movie that hasn't been said before? It's one of America's most successful film, and christmas franchises of all time. Macaulay Culkin is arguably the greatest child actor ever, at least revolutionized it, and it's that darn funny, cute, and amazing. Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, and the family really help make this film as well. A+ forever.

This is one of the best Christmas movies I’ve ever seen. I’ve watched it so many times on TV and now that I’ve seen it in 4K after buying it, looks better than on tv. Highly recommend.

I love Home Alone, it's my top favorite Christmas movie, I can't tell you how many times each season I watch. I own the vhs, DVD, blu-ray copies of the movie and recently had to add this 4k version to my collection. I'm a sucker for my fave movies to be in 4k so I didn't hesitate buying. As I watch the film now, sadly I don't see much of a difference between 4k and regular HD so far. Its even a bit darker looking than when it airs on tv. I don't know why. So that's why I'm only giving 4 stars (my love of the movie isn't included in my rating)

When it comes to movies that are great viewing at the holidays, they don't come better than 'Home Alone'. It has that perfect blend of story and humor that should be more than enough to keep everyone from the kids to the pudding drooling old folks entertained at least for ninety minutes or so. Mac definitely gives the best performance of his career in this film.

Love this movie! A great Christmas movie from writer John Hughes and director Chris Columbus. There are a lot of great moments in this one that you should not miss. Pick it up today

It isn't easy finding a non-animated movie that our whole family would watch together, but this is one that made us all laugh. The concept of being left home alone is intriguing to children, and Kevin's clever traps to fight off the thieves in this film are absolutely delightful to little minds. A great DVD to watch around the holidays - or year-round!

Top notch film-like 4K HDR presentation. Some of the notable HDR elements that stand out are car headlights, street lights and flames. Film grain is present and is not distracting at all. Black levels are perfect and the highlights are not blown out at all.

One of the best Christmas movies. It is still funny. It is a little outdated with some of the jokes but definitely worth owning. The whole family watches this movie every year.

I recall seeing this film in theaters and instantly loving it. I even ate plain cheese pizza for years because that's what Kevin did. The blu-ray transfer of the film looks incredible and the bonus features are great! The commentary track is taken from an earlier release and is heart breaking in retrospect as Chris and Mac talk about their love for Hughes.
