~ Home Alone makes it to HD 4K! ~
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.John Hughes does it again with HOME ALONE, now in glorious JD 4K format. The picture and sound are excellent and it outshines previously released versions, in my opinion. I watched this through the Sony 4K player and 4K TV. I have a sound bar for all audio with TV speakers off. Blu-ray has all the special features included on that disc. Digital code is also here. Highly recommend if you remember this title from Director John Hughes!

As they were the best parts of his Christmas. Think terminator 2 is when Sarah gets her face licked. swapped for Kevin licking Marv's face. ttwisted tale of a grown man trying to recapture his youth

||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Home Alone is a nostalgic holiday classic. It's become a generational favorite as the kids that first saw this movie in theaters now have kids and are introducing it to their brood. With the fun mix of child-focused comedy hijinks and the playful game performances from participants like Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern make this movie. Every kid wanted to be left home alone after this movie - at least I did - because who wouldn't want to have the run of the house and do whatever they wanted? As Home Alone celebrates its 30th Anniversary, it's now getting a grand upgrade to 4K UHD Blu-ray from Disney. The new transfer offers a notable improvement over previous releases, but without a new audio mix or any new bonus features, it may be a tough sell for those who already have bought this title countless times over the decades. However, if you're itching for a new 4K disc this holiday season, you should be happy with the results. Recommended.

Home Alone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When bratty 8-year-old Kevin McCallister acts out the night before a family trip to Paris, his mother makes him sleep in the attic. After the McCallisters mistakenly leave for the airport without Kevin, he awakens to an empty house and assumes his wish to have no family has come true. But his excitement sours when he realizes that two con men plan to rob the McCallister residence, and that he alone must protect the family home.

A classic in the highest picture quality.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a classic and it was fun to watch it over the holidays, 32 years later at the highest picture quality available. UHD/4k on older movies tends to show their age and deficiencies in the picture that the production got away with. We didn't notice in the theatre, or maybe the VHS/DVD was too blurry to even distinguish, but don't judge, just enjoy the show!

A Christmas classic looks better than ever!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Home Alone has always been one of my favorite holiday movies, and this 4K remaster makes it look the best it ever has and probably will ever look! Even compared to the Disney+ stream, this disc shows exceptional levels of 4K detail, and the HDR makes all the greens and reds of this movie pop off the screen. It looks stunning at times. There is no new Atmos mix, but audio still sounds great! Unfortunately all the bonus material is on the included Blu-Ray disc instead of the 4K, but on that disc you get a commentary track and other behind the scenes material. If you are a fan of Home Alone, and want to own it in the highest quality, look no further! Highly recommended!

Classic family Christmas movie
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Home Alone is a good-natured, albeit unrealistic, family film that both kids and adults will enjoy if they're OK with the violence, profanity, and disrespectful behavior within the family. Its endearing story and a charming performance by Culkin make it a standout among the usual holiday movie fare. Without resorting to the all-too-adult double entendres that dominate current family films, this one focuses more on slapstick humor and innocence to convey its story. That said, that reliance on slapstick humor does means it's chock full of semirealistic violence. It's not for the weak-stomached and definitely requires some major suspension of disbelief.

Possibly my favorite Xmas movie in 4K steelbook
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My only quibble with this release is that I wish the first two Home Alones were packaged in a single steelbook. The video and audio quality are astonishing, as we've come to expect with 4K releases. The film is a time-tested classic, humorous, entertaining and heartwarming in the spirit of the season. Pesci in particular is great in one of his comedy roles. The steelbook is a wonderful keepsake.

Christmas Classic
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is so hard to believe this movie is 30 years old now! I purchased Home Alone so my 10 year old grandson and I could watch from home on my digital account. He laughed so hard at this Christmas Classic and so did I. It has been a long time since I sat down to watch the movie and boy for a 30 year old movie it really was still appropriate in most every way. Do yourself and someone else the favor and pick this one up for the Holidays for lots of family fun!
