We bought this movie as a surprise for our kids (ages 4,4 & 7) thinking it would be a nice change of pace and something to keep them occupied for a couple of hours while we did some things around the house. Boy, were we wrong. Within minutes of starting the movie we were glued to the tv as much as the kids. What started as a gift for the kids and something fun for them turned into a gift for all of us that was beyond fun. Funny, touching, and heart warming, Home was a wonderful movie that the whole family can enjoy.

On one of our other movies, Home came on as a sneak peek. Seeing how well our kids reacted to it, I decided to add it to our growing DVD collection (for the minivan). Believe it or not, Jim Parsons and Rihanna work well together. Steve Martin plays a great supporting character. The kids enjoy the music throughout the the movie too, even Jacob Plant's "Drop That." It's been several weeks now and it's being played in heavy rotation in the minivan. Definitely a great original choice!

The concept of the movie seemed strange at first. But after watching it with my daughter a couple times on Netflix last year, the characters and story really started to grow on me. They do a good job of balancing two different people who should be at odds with each other, but once they open themselves up and trust each other they accomplish great things. My daughter needs to here more stories like this in the current political climate.

This is another great release by Dreamworks! Sweet and funny - Jim Parsons and Rihanna are fantastic! I would say that the content is geared towards a younger audience than their previous titles, but still totally enjoyable for ALL ages! The 3D is stellar! (Expect great depth, not generic pop outs though.) Go for the 3D upgrade without hesitation, it's the way to watch this one.

I went into buy a movie for my Granddaughter to watch after a book she was just finishing up. I bought the wrong movie. It was the movie Holes I was suppose to buy. I purchased Home. They really liked this one though. The six yr old never left her seat. The oldest out of the six who just turned nine and the reason for buying the movie said "It's all good Gram we really really like this one but will you go tomorrow and buy the correct one please?"

On its own, it's a very funny film. I you watch the show on TV starring the voice of the lead character, you'll recognize him and when you do, it makes the viewing experience even better. It's a fun, non-threatening film for the family with a couple of good minor lessons in it that even children will enjoy. I highly recommend it. I purchased the 3D "Party Edition".

I purchased the movie Home to watch with my grandchildren. Everyone loved it and it kept the Grandchildren's attention for the whole movie. One problem that a lot of modern movies have is the use of bathroom humor in children's movies and I usually have to spend time telling the grandchildren that it's not appropriate to say some of those things at school. This is a problem I did not have with Home, it was very tame in the bathroom humor department.

I loved the movie, Home, when I saw it at the theater and couldn't wait to purchase it when it came out. Best Buy's lenticular cover is the best along with great pricing and availability. I really like that I get Best Buy points when I make purchases. It is fun to find I have 'dollars' that I can apply to my purchase to make the great prices even lower!

Bought this movie on a Black Friday sell or should I say steal. Practically giving away one of the cutest children's movies with a great story. This movie keeps both adults and children entertained which says a lot about a movie. Overall the animation was great, the music is awesome!!!! And we have watched this movie over and over since buying it!!! Definitely would recommend for adults with small children.

My favorite quote from the movie (shown in all of the reviews so no spoiler here) is: "I'm waving my hands in the air, and I just don't care!" Hey! The whole family is having fun with that line every time someone puts their hand up. Pick your own family favorite line from the movie - there are plenty of good ones to select.....I highly recommend for a "home" run hit for your family movie night at :home".....

Great Movie!! I saw this with my 10 year old. We both loved the movie. The characters are adorably cute and funny and you can't help but like the characters. The little aliens have a unique way of talking and you just might find yourself using some of their cute phrases. The movie sends a positive message about hope and never giving up, also about family, friendship and loyalty. It is a must see!

I saw this film in the theater and knew we just had to have it in our home collection. We recently purchased a 3D television from Best Buy and this film was offered in 3D, which are still tough to find. It was only $24.99, which is a great price for a 3D movie that also includes a regular DVD and a digital copy! This is one film I'll watch over and over, with or without kids in the room with me!

The first time watching it was okay and 3yr old grandson liked it. When we watched it again we got more out of it and really enjoyed the movie. Grandson's choice of movie to purchase so it has been watched many many times. Very enjoyable and entrancing for the youngun. Best movie purchase ever! You get to understanding the characters more and actually tear up at times...yes both of us!

Movie was fun to watch but the Jim Parsons dialogue can get old and irritating. I get he's supposed to be an alien with normal translation issues, but if you have small children they start mimicking his form of speech. I know, I know, it's just a movie...ok. Adventure is good and the story slightly stirring but it's not going to be in your active rotation often as there are tons of other Pixar/Dreamworks flicks that are much more exciting. This falls into the lazy Sunday B movie category for me. Still worth a buy, but maybe the rental is a better idea.

This is a fun movie about an alien species (Boov) that invades Earth and relocates all the humans to Australia. One of the aliens (Oh) learns to interact with a human girl (who evaded relocation) and become an individual. Jim Parsons voices the alien Oh and you do of course think of Sheldon from the Big Bang when he talks!. There are some hilarious moments as well as some more serious 'message' moments, but the whole family enjoy this movie. Unfortunately the extras are pretty poor/non-existent but sound and picture quality are as expected fro blu-ray.

Didn't really check out reviews before buying but this movie was absolutely adorable. Bought it for my 10 yr old and it was a hit with the whole family. Characters were really sweet and funny (although the way th aliens talk is a bit annoying). The overall message of movie was great. Highly recommend

The output from DreamWorks has been lacking in recent years (The Croods, Turbo, Penguins of Madagascar), but "Home" was a surprisingly poignant and entertaining film. Nice 3D effects and it's extra features include 3 short films including "Almost Home" which premiered in front of "Mr. Peabody and Sherman" last year. A nicely packaged release after a lackluster couple of years.

I'm normally hesitant to watch kids movies because let's face it , they can be kinda cheesy sometimes. but not this one ! GREAT movie , with a great message! I love how Jim Parsons played the little alien ! If you're looking for a movie that is great for the entire family this is one ! We watched it at the theatres and have already watched it twice since we bought it :-)

I found it to visually engage the younger children but the older ones were not too interested in the movie. They watched it once and were over it.

I bought this DVD because my 4 year old little boy and I went to the movie theather to watch this movie. He emediately fell in love with the story and the music (lots of Rhianna music). He asked me to purchase the DVD once it came out so I did. He watches this video over and over and loves it every time. I am very happy that he is entertined while I do my chores.
