If you have a basic wifi setup need, this service if perfect. The techs are nice and pretty well trained, but are limited on what they can do, e.g. Going under home, moving current phone lines, etc.

Upgraded my mesh system in store after initial purchase and appt. arrangement. . I was advised they would communicate to the squad re equipment upgrade. I asked if the installer would check to make sure they brought the right equipment I was told they would look at the note. They did not look at the note and came with wrong equipment. Next appointment in two weeks forward. Unfortunate miscommunication. This one experience is not representative of the excellent geek squad service I’ve had in the past.

Unfortunately this was the first time I used geek squad and first impression left a bad taste. I paid for someone to hook up my new router at home. The person who was sent was a tv installer and didn't know computers so he was in our home for 5 hours!! Then had to come back the next day for another hour. After all that, the internet still didn't work and it was a Saturday and couldn't get someone out until Tues. I took it upon myself to figure it out and after an hour and a half got it to work. The only redeeming quality of this experience is that I was credited but I hope geek squad doesn't make it a habit to send non-computer people when ordering computer related help.

Agent replaced our wi fi device. Installed the eero pro 6. It appears the agent wasn’t aware that the eero is itself a router. Our home wi fi network already had its own router. This resulted in many frustrating days of disruption, failure of wireless printing and lost signal. The agent apparently didn’t understand the reason for the problem. We had to call eero tech support and they immediately solved the problem by having us remove our home Cox router and replace it by a modem. This solved the problems. Geek Squad agent was nice and friendly but was unaware that her installation couldn’t have been successful as long as there were 2 routers instead of one.

Nice young man; worked to find best places in the house to set up the system so it worked well.

Agent couldn’t transfer all files so asked that I take old and new pc to store. They transferred files but in desktop folders which were not very functional. Also my contacts did not transfer. A second geek visited me to finish the install but did not do a good job—seemed in a hurry to leave and did not lead me through changes made AND HE DIDNT COMPLETE YHE SETUP. Next my new printer could not do 2sided copies although sales agent and first geek said it would. I had to tryout and buy another. As of today I am stuck with no contacts on the new pc and using old and new pcs side by side-terrible!!

The agent was quick, perhaps I felt a bit rushed but he did all he was asked.

Had issue with wireless devices giving "Connected No Internet" message. Exhausted internet searches and decided to try Geek Squad. First agent had limited experience beyond unboxing a router. He admitted as much and called a couple of other agents for advice but could not resolve issue. Second agent did try a few things but none of those worked. He did give his number and responded with a few more ideas but ultimately we agreed best course was to replace router with a different brand. Worked fine since. I'll give 2 stars as both agents were very friendly and legitimately felt bad about not resolving the issue. Also Geek Squad supervision followed up after to get my concerns. I am willing to give them another chance in the future.
