    Took several calls to get an agent

    WiFi set up too several days and several calls to get an agent who didn’t do it the first time. System worked fine after installation.

    My experience with Geek Squad is poor

    I am very upset and disappointed with the service of Geek Squad and on the return on my Total Tech support membership. At one point, and after several rescheduling, they sent people to install a washing machine, when my request was dishwasher installation. And now, they've missed three appointments to install equipments they recommended I purchase. I missed three days of earning in each of these three days they didn't show up. Once, I got a phone call that the agent had a strep throat and he rescheduled. Then, he didn't show up at the rescheduled appointment or called all together. And on 10/19, and after many phone calls and reported complaints, an agent showed up, opened the over $600 worth of items we purchased from Best Buy, and then stated that one is defective and he rescheduled to return on Wednesday 11/3. I took the day off. He never showed up or called. I had three days of lost wages/earning. I need this issue resolved. Immediately.

    Setting up my Netgear Wi-Fi extenders

    I purchased the Netgear extenders from Best Buy with the understanding that they only required a two-button setup. That didn't work. I didn't get help from the Geek Squad. I was finally able to contact Netgear support and after a full hour, multi-step process, I finally succeeded in getting them connected to my new Spectrum Router.

    At least you did acknowledge an appointment. This IS NOT AN IN-HOME WIFI SETUP. This visit is to help setup the network in a business office. Please sent a qualified person.

    The representatives set up the device and left our house before ensuring it was working properly. We were told it would take about 40 minutes for everything to update (which was correct). When the update completed, some of our devices would not connect. The same representatives came back and still couldn't get it to work properly. We had to have the Geek squad come out three times and call the corporate office before everything was connected properly. The first technicians that came out left our old equipment in a pile on the counter. Don't waste your time paying the high cost of having them come out for this type of installation. It literally took them 15 minutes and was very expensive. I could have installed the system myself. I wish I had known that before wasting my money and time on the Geek Squad.

    The installers did a great job. Blake Pfeiffer, system designer did okay designing, but he was terrible at responding to calls or calling back when I left messages. He still has'nt responded to my last message left over a week ago. and there were a number of others.

    I have spent probably a total of ten hours online trying to get someone to help me set up a home network for my computers. I used to have one, then I bought two new computers. No one that I have dealt with online or on the phone helped me. Not only that, when they threw in the towel, they scheduled someone to come to my house at no cost. Well, someone came and it was the wrong type technician. He said he would get the right person and they would come. The return visit was never scheduled correctly and I spent more time on the phone trying to convince someone what was needed and why it had to be done at my home. We'll see what happens in a month when the right type technician is supposed to show up at my house and help me re-establish a computer home network.

    tech said with what i purchased from bestbuy, it would not resolve my problem. the sales person said it would. i wish the right hand and left hand could be consistent and accurate in the info produced. tech refunded the tech visit fee (thank you) and i returned the product (another trip to the store)

    Called due to slow internet on my laptop. Was told that that it was the Cox modem, exchanged modem still had the same issue. Cox sent out a tech who verified speeds were good he mentioned I should have someone look at my computer as it seemed slow. Had ABCD Computer repair come out he diagnosed that the internet card was limiting the connection. $15 part and I am up and running at 300 speeds

In some cases it is the equipment that the computer is working with, and in others, it turns out to be the hardware itself.     I called Geek Squad regarding my Internet / Router problems I was having. I bought the Router 7 months ago. I was told to bring in my router. The day I went, there was a power outage and store was closed. I called Geek Squad again and they wanted to charge me $ 149 to come to my house. I decided to go back to the store and was told they do not check out routers in the store. I went over to the routers and a sales person sold me the Geek squad service for $ 99.00. A few days later Geek Squad showed up and they said they couldn't solve the problem and they weren't going to charge me. Was told that my product should be under warranty and bring it in. I brought the router in and was told that since I didn't purchase protection plan I had to send it in to the manufacturer. I purchased a new router so I can send in the one under warranty. Now I'm out over $ 300 - I should be able to get my Geek Squad service money back - Right.
