could not do
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.tech said with what i purchased from bestbuy, it would not resolve my problem. the sales person said it would. i wish the right hand and left hand could be consistent and accurate in the info produced. tech refunded the tech visit fee (thank you) and i returned the product (another trip to the store)

The service was awful!

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The representatives set up the device and left our house before ensuring it was working properly. We were told it would take about 40 minutes for everything to update (which was correct). When the update completed, some of our devices would not connect. The same representatives came back and still couldn't get it to work properly. We had to have the Geek squad come out three times and call the corporate office before everything was connected properly. The first technicians that came out left our old equipment in a pile on the counter. Don't waste your time paying the high cost of having them come out for this type of installation. It literally took them 15 minutes and was very expensive. I could have installed the system myself. I wish I had known that before wasting my money and time on the Geek Squad.

Just disappointed this time!

The technician did not listen or didn't understand the questions my father-in-law asked. He was not thorough in his explanations and did not walk him through the use of the product. Just disappointed this time!

Didn't get much value

Was told that that it was the Cox modem, exchanged modem still had the same issue. Cox sent out a tech who verified speeds were good he mentioned I should have someone look at my computer as it seemed slow. Had ABCD Computer repair come out he diagnosed that the internet card was limiting the connection. $15 part and I am up and running at 300 speeds

Equipment Purchased Great BUT Geek Squad Worthless
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m very happy with the products I purchased BUT paying the $199 for a year of ‘Geek Squad Tech Support’ was a GIANT MISTAKE! Basically all my ‘in home expert technician’ did was open the boxes and Asked Me “Where do you want them plugged in”. Essentially I got no added value of the install versus self installation, as any knowledge of how best to set up my 3 pod network for maximum coverage/efficiency by the installer was Totally Lacking! Then when I canceled my yearly subscription before the 30 day ‘trial period’ had expired, BestBuy ONLY REFUNDED $50 of my $199 yearly subscription, telling me that they had to subtract the costs of $150 from my $199 total paid in order to cover “the expert home installation” services I had already received!

I need help

Geek Squad was called and I spent 4 hrs with a gal that tried her best to correct the issue with no avail. The next day the printer worked but has been off and on ever since the new router was installed. Any suggestions??

I bought the Router 7 months ago. I was told to bring in my router. The day I went, there was a power outage and store was closed. I called Geek Squad again and they wanted to charge me $ 149 to come to my house. I decided to go back to the store and was told they do not check out routers in the store. I went over to the routers and a sales person sold me the Geek squad service for $ 99.00. A few days later Geek Squad showed up and they said they couldn't solve the problem and they weren't going to charge me. Was told that my product should be under warranty and bring it in. I brought the router in and was told that since I didn't purchase protection plan I had to send it in to the manufacturer. I purchased a new router so I can send in the one under warranty. Now I'm out over $ 300 - I should be able to get my Geek Squad service money back - Right.

Very Unprofessional

Received text that the agent was on the way, however, agent never showed up. No one had the courtesy to call me to let me know. I had to find out after I reached out to them. With no apologies all they wanted to offer me was a refund... what about my time?

I have been with the Greek Squad since that time and even spent 4 1/2 hours on the phone with them but my computer still have issues.

I do not recommend total tech support

I even tipped them $50.00. after they left I noticed my Theatre system we will just say was broken. When I called to get someone back, Victoria customer representative told me that they had no one to come back to fix my system. I called another theatre company to come out and service my system..until they come my theatre is broken! Best buy spends more time authenticating who you are when you call in than they spend trying to service your problem. I spent over an hour on the phone with three reps who transferred me to someone else each time they asked me the same questions verifying who I am. Its like they hope to upset you off so that they wont have to service your equipment!

While Geek Squad agent verified that xfinity had both a 5g and 2.5g account, but my computer could not connect to either. Called Xfinity again. That agent solved my issue, not geek squad. Their agent suggested I buy a wifi adapter. It worked.

Horrible experience

I spent close to $500. I booked the appointment a month out. I was given a 730 to 1200 time which i thought was extreme but, okay thats fine. The day of the appointment the technician called me at 830 said he was on his way. I had a xfinity system which worked fine I was just looking to stop renting the equipment. The tech was there 4 hours and could not get the modem/router to work. At 12 he said his time was up he had to go. He left me with no internet at all and nothing working. I am very, very disappointed and will never use Geek squad. I paln on canceling my total tech support and never using them again.

Extender instead of ethernet cable

I figured out that I could use an extender to access my wifi. I thought the geek squad agent would advise me to use extender instead of attempting to connect an ethernet cable. I just gave away the fee for nothing.
