Have had niothing but trouble with Geek Squad

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Geek Squad has been a problem ever since I have started using them. Sending geekers here when they are not supposed to and many other incidents. They installed cameras and promised me a manual and never brought it over. They still have one camera to install. It took them weeks and weeks to install them and there were "faulty" wires. I hope the rest of my installations do not go as badly as these other ones.

A weekend wasted

Bad experience with Geek Squad

He had brarely left the house when it totally quit. Nowweare worse offthan we were before and can't get a tech appointment for 2 weeks. Not happy.

I have OTA that I needed to up with my new router, ROKU, and Tablo, and needed help making all of the connections. Finally figured it out myself. Then had trouble cancelling the appointment. Their phone service is terrible.

I did not. I could not get another appt before the end of my WiFi contract .. 30 to 60 day wait. I worked with Xfinity, netgear, and Tp Link to install my system. They were great and we were successful. I am vision impaired.

Service Issue

When I called because TV's not connecting to Internet I was told there was a $50 fee to do a in-home review (which they told me was the same as what I did on the phone). So I do not feel that a $200/year cost for extended geek squad service is valuable.

Geek Squad in my town needs much improvement.

Many mistakes and untrained techs. Previously, 5 yrs ago techs were superior.

Nice guy but wrong for the job. Now trying to get a refund and find a qualified person to get the system running.

Instalation fail

The tech set it up, it wouldn't stay connected

The tech said I had to call the store to "swap it out". The store employee said that was not possible, I must bring it back to the store to return it. Since I could not re-purchase it at the same price I chose to return it and the modem. I re-installed my original Netgear modem. It works great.

Internet Networking done by geek squad poorly

Since the installation was done, the internet goes down constantly. The geek squad service rep that came out said if there were any issues to call him. No answer To numerous calls; with voicemail box full, and No response to email sent.

Very Poor Customer Service

Called for them to return to get working and Curtis said they'd be here in about 20 minutes which turned into a scheduled appt, on 2-5-2023.

Not happy at all

They did not come on Sunday instead they emailed saying they coming on Tuesday which is not possible since we work weekdays.tried to contact the consultant but he did not bother to return my message. I returned everything back to best buy

Geek squad is extremely unreliable.

By 1 o’clock I left he called at 1:30. Even though I was getting emails confirming a time between nine and one he told me he thought it was from 1 to 4. BS. I would never recommend the geek squad and I am upset that I paid for this.

Did Not Happen

The ticket was prepared incorrectly and the people with needed expertise were not the ones scheduled for the job. Still awaiting the final reschedule. Normally this does not occur so I would recommend Geek Squad to others.

Poor experienceS

The man showed up to “install” and spent an hour playing with my granddaughters. Then he said he needed more parts and he’d be back tomorrow. Well, tomorrow never came. Called SEVERAL MORE TIMES for the geek squad, only got results once and he messed everything up. Worse experience with this! Don’t recommend this to anyone!
