    The techs that came were unable to get the new modem to work with Xfinity internet - so I returned it. Not their fault, as they apparently normally install home theater systems. . The package says it works with comcast - but it does not do everything it should. My internet was a totaol mess.

    Purchased 3 TV's and Geek Squad extended service agreement. When I called because TV's not connecting to Internet I was told there was a $50 fee to do a in-home review (which they told me was the same as what I did on the phone). So I do not feel that a $200/year cost for extended geek squad service is valuable.

    I made an appt for WiFi install. Best Buy cancelled it and notified ME that I had cancelled it. I did not. I could not get another appt before the end of my WiFi contract .. 30 to 60 day wait. I worked with Xfinity, netgear, and Tp Link to install my system. They were great and we were successful. I am vision impaired.

    They did not fix all my devices and said they did not have time to finish them even though I had paid a service charge.

    The tech set it up, it wouldn't stay connected

    The tech set the eros wifi up but it wouldn't stay connected. The tech said I had to call the store to "swap it out". The store employee said that was not possible, I must bring it back to the store to return it. Since I could not re-purchase it at the same price I chose to return it and the modem. I re-installed my original Netgear modem. It works great.

    Internet Networking done by geek squad poorly

    I had geek squad come out and do some internet WiFi setup to my Orbi and Comcast modem; to consolidate the network signals. Since the installation was done, the internet goes down constantly. The geek squad service rep that came out said if there were any issues to call him. No answer To numerous calls; with voicemail box full, and No response to email sent.

    The consultant came and recommended things which I readily accepted and then he committed to have the setup person come the following Sunday to do the work. They did not come on Sunday instead they emailed saying they coming on Tuesday which is not possible since we work weekdays.tried to contact the consultant but he did not bother to return my message. I returned everything back to best buy

    They did know what I was talking about. I have OTA that I needed to up with my new router, ROKU, and Tablo, and needed help making all of the connections. Finally figured it out myself. Then had trouble cancelling the appointment. Their phone service is terrible.

    Had geek squad troubleshoot wifi to our TV. He reinstalled things and said it was fixed. He had brarely left the house when it totally quit. Nowweare worse offthan we were before and can't get a tech appointment for 2 weeks. Not happy.

    I bought this service when I bought my router. The man showed up to “install” and spent an hour playing with my granddaughters. Then he said he needed more parts and he’d be back tomorrow. Well, tomorrow never came. Called SEVERAL MORE TIMES for the geek squad, only got results once and he messed everything up. Worse experience with this! Don’t recommend this to anyone!

    I waited all day from nine to 1 o’clock for the service agent to show up. By 1 o’clock I left he called at 1:30. Even though I was getting emails confirming a time between nine and one he told me he thought it was from 1 to 4. BS. I would never recommend the geek squad and I am upset that I paid for this.

    It took seven months to follow through and too many cadets and agents undoing, redoing and not doing what the previous agent did or did not do. Many mistakes and untrained techs. Previously, 5 yrs ago techs were superior.

    Sent a home theater installer who wasn't familiar with VZ router. Never got the mesh extenders working. Nice guy but wrong for the job. Now trying to get a refund and find a qualified person to get the system running.

    Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Tried for two weeks to get a call back from initial service. Contacted the tech as well as the manager and never got a call back. Escalated and was assured that I would receive a call back and never received a call from anyone at the Geek Squad. Still do not have an appointment set up.

    This never happened. It got rescheduled several times. The ticket was prepared incorrectly and the people with needed expertise were not the ones scheduled for the job. Still awaiting the final reschedule. Normally this does not occur so I would recommend Geek Squad to others.

    DO NOT HAVE BEST BUY PUT A NETWORK IN YOUR HOME

    Absolutely do not let Best Buy put in a network. They cannot support it. Sales person -Ryan disappears, Install tech - Jasper. Sells you tech support but no one can help you over the phone even to reset equipment. Charges $200 every time they come out and usually takes 2+ days to be able to come fix.
