We had to empty water from it every hour. Tried all recommendations to rectify the problem but to no avail. Best Buy was great in accepting it back. I purchased a window AC instead.

Posted .Hello, this model offers a continuous drainage option, which is recommended in areas with high humidity. The included drain tube can be connected to either the upper or lower drain (whichever is more convenient for your space). The water can then be continuously drained through the drain tube into a floor drain or bucket.

I have this unit in a 300Sq. Ft. room and when it's 75 outside it's 89 inside. We have a Magnavox unit that keeps 1100Sq Ft cool and never needs drained. This unit replaced a tired window unit that was undersized for the room but that unit always kept it below 70 even when it was 90 outside. Never again Honeywell!!

cant get a 14x10 room cold

Seems like the compressor goes off after often. If it’s humid I have to dump the bucket that the water drains into two to three times a day. If I had options I would take this back!

I was not impressed. The unit did not cool even the small room even though it should cool 450 sq ft. It does not. I returned the unit because Best Buy has a great return policy.

Good AC for warm not hot temps
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this AC for our third bedroom upstairs which is generally warmer than the main level. I bought this model knowing that the BTU of this unit more than covered the size of the room. This is a decent AC and worked really well at night when the temps were in the 70s. But it could not get the room to less than 80 degrees during the day when the outside temps were in the 90s. It probably would have worked better in one of the main level rooms when it doesn't get as hot. Also, be warned that if you are installing the exhaust into a narrow window you will have to do some cutting of the window guard. It's too short to cover the entire window but with the extension it partially covered the hole for the exhaust connection.
