I got it, installed the vent thru the window and it worked like a charm. Easy to set up, kept the living room and hallway nice and cool, I've been really pleased with this item.

Really keeps my bedroom cool and has great features like a timer to allow me to have it turned off at a specific time while sleeping and a remote to use from the comforts of my bed. It works great!

Barely cools the room
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted to love this AC because it's very compact and fairly quiet, but it just doesn't do the job. My room is less than 300 sq. ft. and is very well insulated. I know the conditions of my room are perfect for a portable AC because I had an LG portable AC (same output) that worked exceptionally well for over 10 years. Unfortunately, the LG unit started leaking all over my floor and was extremely loud - it was tough to give it up but I had no choice. This Honeywell unit will cool the room a MAX of 1-2 degrees lower when it's hot out. After that, the temperature barely stays at that level. My old portable AC would turn my room into an ice box after a few hours of running. This one barely keeps the room cool. For $429, you'd think it would do an excellent job but it really doesn't. I was using my old AC up until the day I bought this one so I have an easy way to compare - this one just plainly doesn't work well.

There could be other reasons for the unit to not cool- temperature setting could be too high, or the exhaust hose may need re-installation to avoid the heat from coming back into the room. I will recommend to use this to a not so big room to feel the blast of the ac.

They are ALL louder because they are completely inside. And my very old 6000 btu window unit cooled my bedroom better than this 10,000 btu unit. Wanted something not so much in the window, but going back to that.

Good fan. So-so AC

Helps keep me & my laptop cool while I'm streaming. Sadly, on one of the hottest days in my city, the air conditioning function didn't hold up. Not sure of the square footage of my apartment but it didn't make much of a difference in my average sized LA living room.

Im surprised that my small window AC can cool the living room better and faster than this one. I just dont want to return them since i threw all the cardboard etc. I live on the 6th floor top floor and i needed to turn on my fan too so i can cool down my living room for 2-3. It works better if the temperature is lower than 72 degrees.
