Room environment conditions such as ceiling height, sunlight, number of windows/ doors and level of insulation can affect cooling efficiency and there are ways to increase the capacity of these units. There could be other reasons for the unit to not cool- temperature setting could be too high, or the exhaust hose may need re-installation to avoid the heat from coming back into the room. I thought it would be a good idea to get an open box deal. Didn't really perform like I thought it should. I ended up with a different brand that performed much better.

I was not able to feel the fan standing only 4-feet away from the unit. I have learned when buying portable AC's, go double the BTU you might of used for a window unit and make sure it has a strong fan.

I only have two rooms which are almost identical size. It pulls the one room well, but it takes forever to even cool that small space. I would forgo this and either get one with more BTUs or just get a window unit.

I bought it due to its versatility and it appeared to be a nice unit. Unfortunately, it would not power up when I plugged it in and I returned it to the store. I ended up purchasing a Frigidaire 12,000 BTU unit which I am happy with.

Honeywell's licensee (JMATEK) said by email that they would send the part "when we are able to gain entrance to our building." Don't think I have any choice but to return this, but will give it a few days to see what happens. If I'm lucky, maybe I can find a replacement part somewhere else and pay for it myself. Frustrating...
