Better than expected

Even in the hottest days, it kept our family room cool @ 72 degrees when it was 95 degrees outside. It was the best built portable AC unit that we tried while waiting for our central to get fixed. It was the best $400 that we spent to keep us cool. Great job Honeywell.

It’s better than the 95 it was before though and not too loud. About 68db according to my Apple Watch.

The room heats up a little too much sometimes but that could be the room that the conditioner is in. It does dehumidify very nicely.

Let me just say this thing saved me from a heatwave. We recently got a heatwave in california that exceeded 124°. I have extreme health issues so being in the heat is dangerous for my health. I take well care of it. I can seriously appreciate this machine being me cool in hard times.

It has gotten as hot as 87 degrees despite being set to 70. I come home after a long days work to a house that was 79 degrees and I still needed to cook. I finally pull the portable AC unit out and it bought the house back down to 73 eventually. Mind you we have a unit with a lot of sunlight, 73 felt so much better than 79. Honestly glad I bought it for times like these because they happen often enough.

I have a small space of 400 square feet that has two small rooms. I was hoping it would also cool these two spaces.

Good for an average room size - just remember you have to vent it through a window so if your windows do not go fairly low to the ground then it doesn't vent very well.
