Great A/C for living room

It works perfectly and when left on overnight it cools the whole living room and even into my kitchen and back room. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

It really pours out the cool air for my upstairs.

OK for small rooms, but not open spaces

Ft., but I am using it to cool the downstairs living room/dinning room/kitchen area that is 400 Sq. Ft. total, and it does take the edge off of a hot day, but barely gets the room temp under 80 degrees. To be fair, there is a stairways leading upstairs, so some of the cold air is lost out of the room.

Posted .Thank you for your review! Our Honeywell portable air conditioners units work best in enclosed, well insulated spaces. Room environment conditions such as ceiling height, sunlight, number of windows/ doors and level of insulation can affect cooling efficiency and there are ways to increase the capacity of these units. There could be other reasons for the unit to not cool- temperature setting could be too high, or the exhaust hose may need re-installation, in order to avoid the heat from getting back into the room.

I’m not sure if it’s because the sun beats into the living room glass door or because it’s a larger room but I wish it could get a little colder. The a/c doesn’t usually read that it’s below 76°. I keep my bedroom at 60°. Not bad however, it still keeps it much more comfortable than without a/c.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall is ok, doesn’t get room real cold just takes the edge off but it was a real heat wave where the temperature was almost 100 degrees in the dorms and this unit would only get the room to 80 degrees, this unit was rated for up to 400 square feet and the room was about 350 square feet. I am sure unit would work better if room was smaller
