I did some research prior to buying. I prefer to see what I'm buying, so purchased in store. It was the right size and power for my small rooms. I have a one bedroom, but close it off when operating the AC. Its a bit loud, but I turn up the TV and its not too bad. I gave it a 4 star because it really does cool a room, but I've only had it a short time. For the price it's worth it to stay cool and comfly all Summer.

We bought this to cool down our bedroom during a heat wave and it makes a huge difference! It's a little loud, but we got used to it in no time and slept much better during the hot summer months.

I was skeptical at first, but this unit has been surprisingly effective. I live in a 650 sq ft apartment.. and it has maintained a comfortable, steady temperature. It is noisy, but no more than you would expect from a unit like this. Very easy to setup.

This is rated for up 450 sq. ft., and I since I using it in a room that is roughly 250 sq. ft., it definitely keeps it cold and comfortable. It isn't louder than other units, the heat and evaporation tube works great and means I don't need to drain the unit, and the remote works well. It does a good job of regulating the temperature to the chosen setting, kicking on and off when necessary. Easy to set up, easy to use and portable. Great product and worth the money!

It cools the room in a short time and it is great. My only complaint is that I wish honeywell would have it make less noise.

I bought this unit for my bedroom which is on the west side of my house- to say the room gets hot in the summer months is an understatement. The heat was keeping me from a good night's sleep constantly. When the unit arrived I freaked out a little when I saw the window venting system but it was incredibly easy to use. My bedroom was 100% cooler within 30 minutes and I could finally sleep through the night. I ❤️❤️❤️ the remote control- I can turn the unit on for short periods if needed and then roll over and go back to sleep

This air conditioner definitely cools down a room and quickly. However it is a bit on the loud side.

This evaporative cooler really does cool in an arid environment. It provides the relief you need when it is still baking at night from those hot days. My only complaint about this is that you have to take the unit apart to fill it with water. There are parts from the top half that extend into the water vessel that can easily be broken if you don't lift it off carefully. If I used this unit constantly to cool myself, this design flaw would make me crazy.

I researched portable air conditioners thoroughly prior to making this purchase. I was not disappointed. It has made a very warm Seattle summer quite comfortable. I put it in my bedroom and it was a savior. It's a keeper!

I’ve owned several portable AC units over the years and they all had the same problem: noise. This A/C is still loud of course, there is no way of silencing an entire cooling system compressed into that case. But it definitely runs quieter than any others I’ve tried. When the compressor kicks on it is a much more subtle noise, as the exhaust fan slowly speeds up after the compressor is already running. It has made it much easier to sleep in the same room as the AC. The fan is powerful and the air is ice cold, my only gripe is that it doesn’t have any sort of automatic flaps to direct the air around the room, you will need another fan to help it cool the entire space. One last thing- they say not to run the unit for several hours after unpacking it and there is good reason for this!! The compressor oil needs to settle back into it before the first start or after moving it at any angle, otherwise it runs with liquid refidgerant where oil should be. This is bad. It will last much longer if you take the time.

It cools very well in a reasonable amount of time, but it is a little louder than I expected. I don't think most people would be able to sleep in the same room where it is running. Set up and operation is very easy.

Very will made product that cools a good size room. AC is small but powerful enough to the job. It is not loud and only slightly when the compressor starts up . Overall a good alternative when you do not want a AC unit that sticks out of your window.

We needed a way to cool our four season room in the summer. This room was apparently converted from a screened in porch to a sun room, and an attempt to add ducts to the room to bring cooling was attempted, but this attempt is not adequate. The portable air conditioner fits in a corner, is easy to vent, has a remote, and cools the room quickly when we want to use it. The unit is more than adequate for our needs. The price was reasonable.

Great machine. Nice white and clean. The tube was really hot. I got a Cool-Aide and that perfected things (see the photo of the tube insulator attached). The tube went from 120 degrees down to 80 degrees, which increased the rate of cooling It is a good product and keeps the room cool. Love how quiet it is.

I live in a 500sq ft. studio- this helps keep my little space nice and cool. I did my research and decided on this one over other brands (that were cheaper). When you compare other brands, this one offers more. I'm glad I decided to purchase this product! It has made a huge difference this summer

I have this in my upstairs master bedroom since my upstairs doesn’t get as cool from my central unit. It cools well! My only complaint is that sometimes I hear a high pitched whirring noise when the compressor kicks on. It doesn’t happen all the time so idk how to explain it. I’ve only had it about a month so I might send it back and ask for a replacement. The box was damaged when it was delivered so maybe the unit getting tossed around during transport caused a problem that wasn’t visible.

Great product. Very easy to use and cools my room down no problem. Slightly heavy but with the built in wheels that is no issue. I would recommend this product.

Placed in my bedroom window, with insulation tape it fits better in the window. Would be nice to have an energy saver, but overall does great. Took me a couple times to get the delayed auto turn on mode to work as it doesn't quite work like the manual so simply instructs lol. But love the ability to set it to turn on before I get home...when I remember to in the morning.

Because I live in a Mediterranean climate and don't need central air, I got this product for my large living room (with vaulted ceilings). I have used it this past summer for three or four heat waves and it makes my main living space comfortable, until the cool evening airs return. It was easy to vent, is relatively quiet (it is not loud but remember, it IS an airconditioner), and I can wheel it away into the closet when not in use. It saved the day (my parent also got one with which she was satisfied). My parent needed extra plastic pieces for her vertical slider window installation which the product didn't include, but I had an extra piece from my sash double hung window that I didn't need; so, I gave it 4 stars.

Purchased this Honeywell (12K BTU)- 398 Sq. Ft. Portable Air Conditioner just before the heat wave of 2018 in Massachusetts. I have it in our front room (approx 12 x 25) and it had a hard time keeping up with the 90º+ high humidity weather. It was able to keep the room comfortable but, set to 70º it struggled to get to below 74º. I contemplated getting the next larger unit but that was almost 60%-65% higher priced. This area should be getting another wave of hot weather, as we always do in Aug. Hopefully it can do better with the humidity lower. Good unit, good controls although there isn't an "auto" function for the fan. it was very easy to install. No problems with it so far.
