I would avoid this product at all costs. The pump and its line are just plain bad. Indescribably bad. Honeywell should never have licensed its good name to these folks. Best Buy was great about the return.

Many stores were our of the model we wanted. Best Buy offered the model and came to the rescue. The unit was not in stock but had to be shipped to us. The delivery came on time. Once we installed the unit, the humidity level in the basement dropped to 55 within 24 hours. We are happy with the equipment's performance and for Best Buy's help in getting it to us quickly.

Water/Moisture I would have not thought was there. The pump makes it so it can be placed anywhere. For added capacity without a drain nearby, I have it pumped into a 5-gallon bucket.

Warranty on Honeywell site says 5 years and JMATEK who builds their unit says 1 year. Regardless of which is correct it has a faulty control board according to the manufacturer. However they will not sell the faulty component to me. Their solution is to replace the unit and dispose of the old which requires special handling due to the refrigerant.

The only way this contraption works is by emptying the bucket. The worst design I have ever seen for the connection between the tubing used for the pump drain system and the device itself. Stay away from purchasing this unit! Total waste of money.

So, you have a bucket of stagnant water sitting all the time. It starts growing black mold inside. Dehumidifiers or supposed to help with mold problems. This one makes it worse!!!
