bought this open box rated excellent condition online. Missing window exhaust kit, excellent condition states all part are there except the manual. They offered me 10% first, but that wasn't going to cover the kit cost. Search for kit online and settled for the cost of the kit as a refund. I should of returned it and bought a new one I found on sale for $30 more than the open box. But I didn't want to wait another week to cool off in this heat.

So, once you get this thing set up, it's a decent piece of equipment. Unfortunately, it doesn't combat extreme temperatures outside of confined space. It also doesn't come with clear instructions. Before you buy this unit, research videos online on how to set one up and how they connect to your window. Also look for tips on handling potential condensation build-up in the unit. Overall, for a small room, it works fine. Unfortunately, it's supposed to be able to handle much larger areas and it just doesn't cut it. We returned it within a week.

I gave this A/C 2 stars simply because it hasn't been hot enough where I live to run it more than 5 or 6 days in the several months I own it. I've owned a Continental Electric portable A/C (yeah, I never heard of it before either) for years and NEVER had to drain it. I ran this in dry mode by mistake and needed to drain it in about 2 hours. Of course, when you schedule it to start 1 hour before you come home and, when you arrive, you're met with a message to empty it and it's 90 degrees in your apartment, well, you get the picture. There were no reviews available for this model but other Honeywell A/C's were rated fairly well. What helps make this machine a true nightmare is the hose connections on both ends of the hose. I have duct tape on the part that "fits" in the window. It came in 2 parts but the parts do not fit together well. My windows width is 32" and I will need to get part of the hole cut in the board that fits in the window to be able to fit the connector into it. The other connector in back of of the machine could also be better designed.

Portable Air Conditioner cooled my great room without any problem

Bought this unit for the cottage. Have used it a few days in 85 degree weather and has kept the cottage at a very comfortable 70 degrees. Unit is very quiet.

This unit does a good job cooling a room. It does what it says it will do.

It is an amazing product, the reason why I gave it 4 stars is because it can be somewhat loud. But besides that, it is an excellent product.

It worked overall as described. It could not handle the humidity of a just under 500sq feet efficiency. The appartement had a temperature of 88 before we turned it on. After 5 days it only cooled down to 77, with a two hour stint at 75. We were no able to get it to cool down anywhere 68 which was our goal. It constantly filled up bucketloads of water, condensation from the humidity. It performed better as a dehumidifier than as an air conditioner.
