I spent an extra $30 on this one and there's a world of difference - it is made out metal (mostly) and has a solid base. I've had it for a couple of weeks now and love it!

Better than the tower I feel

It really promoted the quite sound but this one is really not that much louder and much much more powerful. If you're in need of lots of air flow but pretty darn quiet I'd highly recommend. Thx

Those 2 settings move air very good. The lower 2 settings move next to no air. If you need some kind of fan "noise" to sleep, this is not for you. I returned unit. 3 stars because of the air it moves on highest settings. Remote is neither here nor there. Not a deal breaker and could care less is a fan even has one.
