We purchased this make and model fan for bedroom use and it typically runs 24/7. There are two other fans in the house that are used in the same way which are a different make and model entirely which have had zero issues over the past three years. We have gone through three of these fans, however, over the past three years and now this last one has also died. Every single one, the motor starts to whine and the fan stops turning or slows way down. Two of them died in less than six months from purchase. If it weren't for the Geek Squad Protection plans, we would have been out of a fan every time. Luckily, it has replaced the fan each time. I will NOT get this model again, regardless of the plan.
