This Honeywell portable air conditioner is a solid unit. Was super easy to install, maybe took 15 minutes and that was because of the terrible design (imho) of the window seal. The problem was that it doesn’t fit windows of a certain size, without having the opening of a seal overlapping the other. The window seal was installed in a very common 36” inch wide window, so it should have been designed to fit such a window size that is so common. If you have a hacksaw, it’s easily cut since it’s a pvc type plastic, however I would rather that they included another shorter piece of plastic seal that could be used instead of the one they included. Now with that said, this is a minor flaw imo and I still rate the quality as 5 Stars as the unit is super quiet, even running on high and is sturdy compared to other portable Air Conditioners I looked at. Make sure when looking at BTUs you are paying attention to DOE (Dept Of Energy) BTUs vs other standard, especially if buying in USA. BTUs for this model, based on DOE are 6,500 vs 12,000 using other standard rating. This makes a huge difference when determining how much it will cool down a room or area. I originally bought the Honeywell model for 450 sq feet and it was not strong enough (btu wise) to keep the room as cool as I like it. So in my opinion, pay the extra $$$s and buy this model which is for rooms up to 550 sq ft. Since I exchanged the previous model and upgraded to this current one, my room has maintained 69 degrees on a 95 degree day outside. My room is approximately 390 sq ft that I’m cooling to give everyone an idea. Last item to mention, make sure the unit stands upright for at least 60 minutes after transporting ... which most likely the product was transported on its side while driving or shipping. It takes time for the coolant to properly settle and if not given at least 60 minutes, you may run into issues with no cool air and feel it’s broken. Overall, a great product that I’m glad I purchased. Now hopefully it will continue to operate as good as it has since I set it up.

The air conditioner did not work as promised. It barely cooled one room, let along another room. We were told by the sales folks that with our ceiling fans the air would be circulated into both rooms. It did not work, so we returned it. Thanks to Best Buy for taking it back.

I have a 300 sq ft bedroom that I like cold. I bought a bigger unit to get it cold quick and keep it cold. It never really gets cold and it leaks from the bottom. It always runs and never hits temp. Then when I do shut it off it does not cool down quick at all. I am constantly cleaning up a wet spot under the machine to keep my wood floors from getting ruined. Not sure I would reccomend.

Nice looking unit. It’s quiet. But, it doesn’t keep our bedroom cool. Look for something more powerful.

Had this item for a week or so, tried installing it in different areas. This AC did not cool the room.

The exhaust pipe is flimsy and releases alot of hot air. I've seen other reviews suggesting to duct tape the exhaust pipe and I'm going to try that next. On a 96° day the lowest the ac got was 84°. My bedroom is small, door closed, lights off, towel under the door. I can't figure out why it won't cool down more than 10°. If it wasn't such a hassle lugging it up a 5 floor walk up I would return it.

Takes 5-6 hours to go down by 3-4 degree Celsius. Not recommended seeing the price

This was a great product but it’s so humid where I live you constantly have to empty the water out of it and that’s super annoying at 4am when it’s full of water and shuts off. Would recommend anyone who’s buys this to do their research before buying.

Not happy with the product. Did not cool my room. Had to return the product.

For a 14000 btu airconditioner it didn't cool off a room that was no more then 400 sq ft.

We wanted to use it for the living room, but it simply wont keep up. We now use it for the daughters bedroom, and it does ok at night. Not great for the day use, as it doesnt cool much. The fan is at the top, and it only pushes up. Not the best design. Definitely not worth the money spent on it. Priced at 280.

I purchase this so I could lower my bedroom temperature at night so that I wouldn't have to use the main ac to cool the only room in the house at night that we use. The water tray filled up quickly and would shut the unit off after several hours. I couldn't get thru the night with it. It didn't meet my needs as to why I purchased it and returned it.

This unit is big and bulky & didn't cool off a small area in the extreme heat wave. I would have returned, if I had saved the box. Also I missed the part about emptying. Very difficult to do. These units collect water like a dehumidifier. Overall I was not pleased.

This was a terrible purchase. The coolest the room ever got was 81°. We burned up for four days before we finally took it back and got a traditional window unit. Don't waste your time and money on it. I heard that type of unit does not work well but was willing to give it a try anyway. Very poor choice.

Really great AC unit. I bought this at the height of a heat wave and I really am glad that I did. Cools a good part of my 500sq ft apartment. I wish it had a better remote control, but the one that it comes with works just fine. Easy to store and deploy when needed.
