It doesn't. I wanted to return it but Best Buy's return policy sucks. Especially during COVID. I place online orders so I can limit my time in the store. They should definitely be extending the return period until this clears up.

I bought this unit brand new, online, while it was on sale for $49.99. Usual price was $69.99 The unit does not stay on for more than 5 minutes at any one time in a bedroom that is large enough for a love seat, couch, queen sized bed, and bedroom furniture. Next, My friend and I ran our portable heaters in two different rooms in our houses with a starting temperature off 68 degrees and 71. The units automatically turned off after 4 to 5 minutes having been preset to HIGH mode and 75 degrees. The final room temperature's were 69 degrees and 72 degrees.

The heater was on for an hour and the room never warmed sufficiently. Heat naturally rises so it doesn't make sense to have it blowing upward.

Posted .Thank for you for taking time to provide this feedback. There are many variables that affect the heaters ability to sufficiently raise the room temperature. These include insulation, room size, ceiling height, how many windows and the type of floor the unit is used on. The starting temperature of the room will affect the performance as well. If the starting temperature is colder it will take longer to raise the room temperature and it is possible the heater may not be sufficient to raise the room temperature to your desired level. These heaters are meant for supplemental heat and not to be used as a main heat source. We hope this information is helpful. Swweeeet Heaters
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in a two story condo about 1000 sq ft. and we had the floor radiating heaters that use lots of $$$$ so my gf and I bought 3 of these, two for downstairs and one for our upstairs bedroom and we went from $220 on our electric in the winter to $110. HUGE Difference. My feedback to Honeywell would be to make it so you can set the temp between 68-75 individual degrees instead of 65,70,75,80. Its nice because you can leave the house without having to worry about it catching your house on fire because it has a tip detector that I tested and works very well. Bought them around 11 months ago and they all three still work and are on all the time.

I am only using one heater and it is doing a great job keeping the area warm (2 rooms). 4 grandson's sleep up there and I feel very safe using it for them. There is an automatic tip-over shut off, but this thing is stable enough the way it is designed that I don't think that's a probability....unless the boys would be horsing around. The main thing is to make sure nothing is sitting close to the heater. The heat it provides is very warm and there is an adjustable thermostat switch. There is a fan that blows the warm air out and I think it's much better than the "radiant" style heaters. I am buying another for my basement as my daughter is living there at this time. I believe this has saved on the heat bills for sure!
