He already had this for his downstairs unit and wanted another for his upstairs unit. How nice it is to be returning home late from an out of town trip and be able to control the home temperature before your return (especially with 3 small children). Great energy saving device!

Good unit but not the best

The challenges come when trying to integrate it with Amazon's Echo. Its not simple enough. Set up in general and some of the features are easy to use and over all the thermostat does what it needs to do. Wanted something to a little better with Amazon echo but I i'm overall pleased.

Doesn’t work without C wire
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.You have to have a C wire in order to connect this thermostat otherwise you’re going to spend a fortune rewiring and paying an electrician… One Honeywell who produces a product it doesn’t require a C wire I’ll buy it before now I’m not spending my money

Nothing was wrong with my previous Honeywell thermostat. I just wanted to update to a wifi thermostat. I am able to control the thermostat with my phone and set schedules. I love it.

A very good deterrent for nefarious activities, and you can talk to the visitor even if you are not at home
